: Part two to dinner at Omnia. Still impressed with the fully decorated interior, so pretty and beautiful to dine in.
️: Must order appetites are the smoked ocean trout cigar and Scotch egg of quail egg, tomato relish, pork & fennel.
The highlight of the mains were the grilled yellowfin tuna with sunflower seed & fermented mushroom vinaigrette as well as the whole flounder with beurre noisette, lemon & capers were delish. Not just because I love fish, but it really is that good.
I recently visited the restaurant on Friday, very excited after being out of lockdown, Resturant atmosphere and vibes were great, we ordered our cocktails, starters along with the mains. We arrived at 8: 30pm since our cocktail and starters were fine, and we were very much looking after our mains which didn’t arrive till 10: 15 we weren’t looked after since our starters, our mains were absolute disappointment in terms of what we originally discussed with the assistance.we asked to be cooked medium rare both meats arrived almost rare and flavour, texture of meat were dry and disgusting like it was just fat all around both the meats, when you paying so much money for meals you don’t expect to pay for fat, when we advised to the assistance, she said that’s how they suppose to be! I have been to many fine dine restaurants, I have genuinely never complaint or if I was not happy just never go back at the restaurant again, but to since I almost vomited in the napkins few times, when arriving home past 48 hrs I have been sick from the food we ate. Please insurance you are listening to customers needs and requirements, please do not talk back and assume customer is stupid and unaware how the meat should be cooked, we in fact didn’t finish our meals, and were truly late to our next booking which charged us $50 for arriving late, please look after your customers as they do not want to wait almost an hour between starters and mains.
I will make sure no one from our group ever books at the restaurant and the attitude of customer service provided and most disgraceful experience we have had on Friday.
Really a new place for fine dining. The service and the food were both good. But the environment was not as good as I expected, a bit noisy for me. Recommend quail eggs and oyster. The grilled tuna was a must try!
Best restaurant in Melbourne.
Amazing food. Love how there is all different types of dishes with interesting ingredients. Great service. Cracking cocktails. Wine list solid too.
Was there friday after lockdown and it was just brilliant. Thanks so much team omnia
This place is a symphony of flavours and it is so wonderful and relaxing to see the chef conducting the kitchen to make the magic happen. We were very lucky to have a table quite close to the kitchen to really appreciate it. It is simply wonder to have the opportunity to see your food being prepared rather than just being served. We started the evening with the wonderful olives and the crunchy delicious bread which is made in-house. My entree was the pine mushroom tart: I love that you can actually taste the flavours of the mushrooms! The smoke trout cigars are simply a must. Then we had the potatoe rosti, crispy but the flavours melt in your mouth, the tuna which was delicious and fresh. The Poussin was divine, so tender. This dish is actually the center of that symphony of flavours I am referring to. And of course we closed with gold with the amazing dessert. The chocolate mouse with passionfruit sauce. What can I say. I went home floating in pure indulgence.
Outstanding service. Great cocktail list. Some gems on the wine list but I think that requires ongoing cultivation.
Olive leaf Martini was a hit
Absolutely 5 starts! The restaurant is amazing, with so many details to be observed. We sat down in front of the open kitchen where could watch the chefs preparing the meals. They were very organised, quick and we they all seemed happy. The waiters and waitresses were extremely professional, attentive and we felt very well looked after. Now lets talk about the food. For starters we had the bread and the Smoked ocean trout cigar (Absolutely AMAZING - must try it!). My partner had a steak with fries and beans as a side, I had the tuna with the potato rosti as a side. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse. Everything cooked perfectly, the flavours were just spot on and I left the place feeling happy with the experience and I'll definitely come back.
Hands down one of my favourite restaurant in Melbourne. Service, food and ambiance is top notch. Make sure to order the duck if you come here, it is must if you visit.
For such a beautiful, upmarket bistro and bar, the staff are very down-to-earth and kind. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the cocktails are unbelievable!
The duck is exceptional, the oysters super fresh. Wine list is ok nothing great. Good vibe and atmosphere a real destination venue, highly recommended - if you can get in!
The atmosphere, service and food is incredible, for our group the starters were the highlight - duck liver parfait, mushroom tart and oysters especially delicious and don’t miss the potato rosti as a side with your mains. Lemon Myrtle Gimlet was also *chefs kiss*.
Unbelievable Service, Food and Cocktails. Loved every moment and will be back.when I save up again $$$
Last night dinner at Omnia was amazing! The place is unique, the food is incredible (especially the smoked ocean trout cigar, the dry aged honey roasted duck and the cheescake), the wine list is nice and the team is awesome!
It was definitely an incredible experience! Can't wait to be back to discover more.
One of the best restaurant I did in Mebourne so far!
One of the best meals we've had. From the oysters to the duck (you got to have the duck) and the Cheesecake desert OMG! Service was impeccable and the atmosphere warm, inviting and absolutely classy. We had a view of the kitchen and it was a first class performance with a calm and controlled execution of skill and passion. Thanks for a great night out.
Came here for mother's day, but been treated unfairly. This is the second time we came here. Booked this special day for my mum as I saw their ins post saying they open on this Sunday (normally they don't), and will give Rose wine and dessert to mum. No one mentioned the dessert at the end of the lunch, when we asked the waiter, he said they do have dessert but we are run out of our timeframe. The truth is we finished at exact same time as the table besides us, my mum was sitting there by herself for 5-10 minutes but no one even came to ask. Btw, table beside us got the dessert. We are not here for the free things to be honest, I liked their food and was looking forward for the lunch, but the point is we were treated differently, I've been in so many restaurant this is the first time we experience this.will never come back.
A nice environment and friendly staff with no surcharge on credit card - a rarity these days! Other than that, the food was ok - small portion. Had to grab something else to eat afterwards.
Very nice drink and food. For the first time that I havent asked to pay yet and the waitress brought a POS to the table. Me and my friend haven't finished our drink and dessert.
The lady cocktail person made me a delicious whisky and citrus cocktail that wasn't too sweet (or sour). The staff are really lovely and the food excellent - the mat balls were scrummy, and the potatoes and green beans delicious. Beautifully presented too. Noisy so a bit hard to hear at times, but that seems to be common these days (and we were with a person in their late 2-s who also had trouble hearing!)
Love this place! The attention to small details in the restaurant, the well thought out menu and the waitstaff are all amazing. Definitely worth making this a regular visit!
The food in consistently delicious as Omania. The atmosphere is chic and friendly. The staff are warm and inviting. I love all the flavours and the presentation of the gourmet meals at Omnia. Highly recommend.
