Ollie's Cafe and Bar reviews
46All but one staff not wearing a mask during public health orders from the Chief Health a Officer of Victoria. Wearing a mask isn’t fun but we all have to do it. Do they not wash their hands after going to the toilet as well? What other OHS and health measures do they choose to ignore here? $2.50 for a squirt of tomato sauce. Over priced and no regard for public health.
Had lunch with a friend the service the food was amazing have had a meal there many times I will be back
Food to expensive the servings are small got the beef burger and Mediterranean breakfast and two orange juices $70 something dollars later never going there again menu has changed too.
Food is always 10/10 here, amazing banana bread, pancakes, savoury breakfast meals & slices. Hot chocolates also nice. Pretty pricey place but the quality of the food makes it worth it
What an experience for my grandson, not only did the waitress dote on him, but made him a special message on his chai, got him to choose a slice and put a candle in it and sang Happy birthday to him. Thank you for going out of your way to make Linkans birthday memorable. 11 stars he said for having the best start to his birthday.
The food is nice, but it's a bit too expensive. Surcharge for payment. Surcharge for Sunday, extra $$ for scramblled.
Meh it’s ok third visit now thought give it another go, as I wasn’t impressed much last times -milkshakes are tiny I know it looks “trendy” in those glasses but we all want a good old fashioned milkshake cup where you actually get your money worth, the food is ok but very overpriced for a local cafe.
I hate to be negative but. I saw the chef wipe/itch his nose with one hand and then grab my bread from the display with the other hand. Thank goodness it was the other hand but I doubt the hand he used was clean based on that. I decided to let it go instead of making a fuss and just wait for them to toast it. I was given it in a bag. I looked inside and it was very burnt, literally black and crispy. I would have appreciated it if they said "sorry we have burnt your bread, we will put a fresh one on and it will just be a bit longer" But nope, I got a nice charcoal clump in a bag, because they were too busy to be bothered making me another one.
This cafe is really amazing. Heading home from a long holiday and this breakfast was needed and praised! I almost couldnt give 5 stars cos they were understaffed but they did well to keep up with the orders and offered free coffees for those that had to wait so its got a top rating in my books. Well done Ollies!
I've been going here regularly and it's a great place with a great vibe and friendly customer service.
Handy spot, but when you have to pay $2.50 for a piece of bread with your eggs.after you just paid 20 bucks for them.turn it up.
Ordered a sandwich that took 25 mins to be made on cheap nasty with bread.
Pretty over priced for some substandard food.
I love this place.my family and friends love Ollie’s. Shady and his staff are awesome, very welcoming.food is wonderful.will always take family and friends here, over and over again.
Thank you
Liz and Michael
Very good cafe with great coffee and food. Can get busy and loud but that's not their fault, service is efficient and friendly enough. Will look forward to returning here again, their breakfasts are very fresh and delicious.
Good breakfast and nice coffee. I had the poached eggs and bacon on sour dough for $15. Positioned near Bunnings on the outside of the shopping centre. They have an outside and inside seating. Good atmosphere. Only advice is to sit away from door on cold mornings as they leave door jammed open. Cheers
My daily go to.
I continually find the staff friendly and the service impeccable.
If I could give 10 ‘s they would get 10 ‘s
Amazing food. Eggs Benedict is a winner. We also had the breaky burger which was loaded! Friendly staff and great atmosphere. We will be coming back for breakfast again. Also keen to give it a go for dinner on a Friday night.
Second time ivd been wont be back and i was one of 3 unhappy customers. I asked for a chicken avo toasty that was advertised on the menu at least 20mins and when it came it had tomato and spinach as well i took it back to the counter only to be told thats how it comes. And i said nut i asked gor a chicken and avo toasty as advertised. It comes in like that was the reply. So i said well you should tell the customers. And if its already made why the hell does it take that long. Three people serving and probably 5 customers and 3 customers wernt happy.
Horrible service! Ordered food and drinks for two people then had to wait and watch the servers eating and chatting away behind the counter whilst waiting far too long. Then first meal was bought out - still no drinks to have with meal. By the time the first persons meal was eaten the second meal came out - still no drinks! The club sandwich had hard over cooked toast and was missing sauce, when asked waitress for the sauce she wanted us to pay - again! Then half way through eating (whilst the other person had already finished long ago) our fresh juice arrived! Finally!
Wasted money and wasted time - don't recommend
Super expensive so probably stick to coffee. Other than overpricing a really nice place, good atmosphere and staff.
