Olivigna reviews
72First time I have been. Food was beautiful. Antipasto was the best I have ever had. Produce was so fresh. Great country setting and beautiful outlook over vineyards. Only 20 minutes from Doncaster Shopping Centre.
We had a family group of 15. Originally I had booked Under the Vines but weather meant we had to relocate inside but that didn't spoil our experience. We had the sharing menu which was fantastic and very plentiful. We had children in our group and they were well looked after as well. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. We had a couple of dietary requirements which were dealt with without any fuss. Overall we were all extremely happy with our dining experience.
We had a lunch on Thursday 26 October 2023 and from my previous experience I was expecting the same standard. Unfortunately this was not the case. It took a while for any table service to arrive. Your Menu does not reflect what it states. For example you have GF marked along most of your pasta dishes but upon request I was told that none of the pasta dishes listed on your menu are gluten free. I then asked do you have any gluten free pasta. The waitress was not sure so she went and enquired. She returned with some casarrecia pasta in her hand. As I am Coeliac I always ask questions to ensure that the food is safe so that I do not get sick. If I had not asked and just went ahead and ordered the pasta on the menu thinking it was gluten free I would have been violently sick.
A restaurant of your standard should be able provide a menu that reflects the food it serves. You should also provide a more wider range of gluten free products that in today's time are widely available. For example you can obtain gluten free gnocchi tagliatelle ect from places that actually make them in a certified Coeliac Accredited food services such as Ador Foods in Coburg.
Your prices are not cheap so your food should reflect what you serve.
I was very disappointed with the whole experience.
Thank you

We ate with friends last Sunday afternoon and from the start we felt rushed. My husband even had his main course brought to him while he was still eating his entree.
The food was good. The service overdone with the feeling of being rushed.
We used up our full one and three quarter hours but would love to have stayed longer and caught up more with our friends who we hadn’t seen for over 12 months.
We sat by the window on a rainy day overlooking the beautiful vineyard and olive orchard. There were kangaroos, rabbits, ducks and ibis in the landscape and it was so beautiful. Inside was warm and had a gentle buzz of happy people with full bellies. We had the cold veal, pea based porchetta pizza, roast pork, tortellini, a ricotta cake and a coffee mousse. Additionally we drank a grappa sour, negroni, coffee, cab sav and Liquorice aperitif. Everything was spectacular. The service was also outstanding, patient and knowledgeable. The veal, pork and tortellini were stand outs that I will think about for some time. We will be back again soon!
What a lovely little slice of Tuscany in the Warrandyte hills. Enjoy lunch here today and it was delicious, the staff were absolutely amazing, warm and inviting! Service was great! Enjoyed the outdoor seating after our meal and basked in the sun surrounded by the gorgeous landscape garden! Highly recommend. Hope to come back soon!
I was part of the Salami Making course with Tony.
It was most instructive and Tony was excellent!
I would recommend this course to Family and Friends.

Sunday lunch was really busy so really noisy. The food was nice & staff were lovely but the restaurant was over subscribed so we waited for everything - table was not ready when we arrived, around 20-30 minutes to order, mains arrived around 90 minutes after ordering so the experience was frustrating. Also the menu structure is such that you can’t just have a main or grab a pizza so you are tied into 2,3 or 4 courses. For the price the experience did not meet expectations.
We had lunch here as per a friend’s recommendation. Oh man! I understood why as the food was amazing! Another thing that we love is the place, it’s beautiful. We didn’t expect there’s this place in Warrandyte, it’s truely a gem. It’s highly recommended.
Food was pretty good. Service very pleasant. Nice location and ambience. Their Pinot Grigio was very easy on the palate. A bit annoying that they added a credit card surcharge.
Beautiful Easter 4 course Menu. First time here. Wasn't sure what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised by the delicious food.
We thoroughly enjoyed a lovely lunch at Olivigna's. Very nice place, with food and nice wine to match lamb, pork and fish dishes for the three of us. Desert (Italian doughnuts) was fantastic too.
Participated in the Pasta making classes on the school holidays, Lots of fun and a yummy lunch followed. Highly recommend.
A great easter menu - thanks to the team at Olivigna, once again seamless service and outstanding food.
We had a great long lunch for my wife’s birthday.
Despite other reviews, we found the staff friendly and attentive and the food was great.
When unsure of a wine we wanted to try we were offerred a taste to make sure it was to our liking.
Couldn’t really fault it and will be definitively coming back again.
Amazing food! We had the 4 course Italian feast with 8 people. Hands down some of the best Italian food in Melbourne. Was just a little let down with the service after dessert was served. We were sort of forgotten about when we wanted coffees etc. Staff were busy setting up for the evening rush. Up until then, the service was fantastic. Will absolutely back! Also very much appreciated my dairy free dietary requirements being met. I was given my own separate means which was awesome.
Had some a piece of Europe in the backdrop while having lunch and enjoyed the moment was great company.
The food, wine and atmosphere here is amazing!
Fantastic food fantastic service the meals were very filling they were a good size had a fantastic time with my parents and my fiancé
A stunning venue. Fabulous seafood pasta & salad. Would have loved a finger bowl after eating the delicious prawns.
We had a party of 4 and ordered the sharing feast. The antipasti was lovely followed by pasta and pizza. We then had the secondi with fish and pork. I thought the pork rind could have been more crispy. The dessert of cannoli and donuts could have been better. The spread was very generous tho. Overall a nice dining experience.
