Olinda Cafe reviews
77The service was quick and friendly, even when busy. And the food is absolutely delicious and the serves very generous. We were all full after having lunch there.
This is a wonderful cafe. I ate there twice on consecutive days it was so nice. The service was so friendly, which I really appreciate as a solo traveller. There's lots of seating to choose from, indoors, semi-outdoors (under-cover) and fully outdoors in the back courtyard.
The food was delicious. Great quality ingredients. Avo smash, yum. Roasted mushroom brunch, yum. I added poached egg to both. Super fresh orange juice too.
I took their homemade strawberry jam home to enjoy some more.
Amazing food and super friendly accommodating Staff. Wonderful establishment. You definitely need to pop in if your in the area. Client's were all super impressed.
We had the burgers today, they are definitely a meal, we left very full, they were very well cooked and plated well, service was friendly and food and coffee came fast, I would recommend if you are in the area stop on by.
I can’t wait to visit this place again when the roads are cleared up to have their zucchini and halloumi fritters! They’re so nice with the apple salad and also with a side of chips with aioli. Been here multiple times and never had a bad experience. Thank you:)
First time here, saw that there were quite a few people eating, always a good sign. Food was disappointing. Scrambled eggs came on one small piece of not the best sourdough. For the price we would have expected more of an effort. Staff lovely.
We love the little Olinda town and its shops including this cafe! Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food is wonderful and filling, too.
Came here on Mother’s Day 2021 with our dogs. They were incredibly busy but the staff didn’t miss a beat. I was a bit lost when I first went into the cafe as there were so many people waiting and I wasn’t sure who had ordered and who hadn’t, but someone spotted me and helped me right away. They let us go through to the back courtyard with our dogs, where it was nice and quiet. The girl who took my order was patient, friendly and cheerful. Despite how busy it was, the food came quickly and was delicious. Highly recommend!
Can honestly say I've never been treated so poorly in my life from any cafe.
The rudest staff I have ever met! Unacceptable behaviour when there is so many options for the consumer it's shocking you would treat people the way you have today. Appalling!
We frequent this cozy cafe in Olinda. While the food is good, I dont like how my father's request to use their toilet was declined because he is not a customer. I understand it to some extent, that you have a policy that prohibits non customers to use your toilet, but it is not that we didnt try to look for a public toilet, nothing in sight and imagine a senior citizen trying to hold it, it was difficult.and for this reason, I will not patronize your cafe anymore.
Great location and parking, i recommend pies it’s comes with enough potato chips and some veggies. And also i liked hand made style tomato sauces.
Terrible service. My partner and I entered via the back entrance to have a look at the cakes and drinks. We didn't see anything that interested us so we turned to leave and the owner stood in our way and instructed us to exit through the back and move our car. I informed her that we didn't park out the back and that we walked in from the street. She continued to block our exit and refused to let us leave the cafe through the front door that was only meters away. Disgusted.
Terrible
My fiancé was physically grabbed and stopped from leaving the premises by the blond haired woman (owner im guessing). We were spoken to like we 5 year olds and abused.
Would not recommend this place to anyone
Did give us a chance to goto a nice bakery around the corner though
4 Nov 19: excellent! Smiling, warm welcome, unlike the cafe acrss the road, where we were ignored and walked out. Olinda Cafe food was good, hospitality excellent, coffee great (espresso in a HOT cup). Oreo cheesecake wasn't too sugary, pie of the day decent, salad dressing good and not sweet.
Microvaved "gourmet pies"? Dry and tasteless. Chicken Pita tastes like bottom of the freezer. Rip of for the quality of food delivered. First and last time for me.
It was a very busy Spring day. Staff searched for the dog bowl to ensure our pooch was hydrated. Very friendly staff and quick service. Great food.
Venue was packed because of the snow, the staff were working like a well oiled machines, the chef must be amazing because the food was spot on, delicious, hot and came out in a timely manner considering the amount of people.
The coffee that my sister and I had was just perfect. We arrived at the end of the day so the cafe was almost empty but have been when it's busy. Just as good.
Loved the food and coffee, and it was well priced for olinda, and they are pet friendly with outdoor area which is a huge plus for me, definitely going back
I popped past here on a public holiday. Note when you come here they charge you an extra 15% so I really hope they pay there staff extra. I ordered a coffee and a beef pie. Both were really good. I was actually a little shocked how good the coffee was. The pie was great and it came with chips. Well with coming here
