Olinda Cafe reviews
77 Nice cafe, quick ordering, pleasant service.
I had a delicious pie as well as a cold beer and left happy!
Smoked salmon open sandwich is super savoury! Had a strawberry milkshake too that’s jumbo size lol XD
A lovely cafe with friendly staff, lovely ambience, great coffee and yummy food. We'll be back!
One of my favourites. Can be a challenge to get a table at busy times on the weekends because they don't take bookings and it's popular. The people are nice, the selection of food is great and it's cosy in Winter!
Used to be ok but now is a bad experience the manager or owner Heather has a very bad temper and has no manners to talk to the customers after many years of going there we will not come back anymore to this place.
I was so impressed with my experience at this restaurant today and just wanted to thank the staff for being so professional and generous in response to a tiny error one of their lovely staff members made. My toddler had so much fun with their water feature, the food and coffee was delicious and our experience with the staff made our lunch very memorable. Well be back!
The cafe in Olinda is definitely worth a visit. I had the Parma chicken, it was lovely. The scones were nice. I will be back if I get the chance.
Yummy experience here. Great gift shop, delicious treats, and friendly staff.
Thanks team!
My daughters and I came for brunch one cold and wet morning desperate for eggs benny. As soon as we walked inside we were greeted by Taylor and she was so friendly. We were sitted next to the roaring fire and we were nice and warm and cosy.
The eggs benny are in my top 5 best egg benny I've eaten and I've eaten alot The sauce was homemade and so tasty, thick toast with the perfect amount of "toasting" and the eggs were cooked to perfection.
I highly rate these eggs if you get a chance to eat them.
Came here around 11am on Sunday. The place was fairly packed, about two vacant tables only. The staff are friendly but in a rush, they greeted us warmly and seated us, I like that they gave us the option to choose either vacant table.
You order at the counter and the wait staff will bring the food once ready. Water (self service) is available near the coffee machine from a filtered tap.
I ordered the omelette with mushrooms ($14), very juicy and delicious! My husband ordered the egg bacon sandwich ($12) which he enjoyed too but said should have had more bacon as there were only two.
There are over 20 tables here but tables are very close to one another so conversations from nearby tables are clearly heard. There is a courtyard seating which is a bit more spread out and recommended if you want to enjoy the sun.
I didn't care much for the skinny cappuccino. It was rather milky, Ripe is still the winner for me. My husband was happy with the caramel slice but the base was quite fudgy (my favourite is from Stirr It Up at Ringwood).
First time to this cafe. Enjoyed the olinda burger and coffee here today. Easy 5 star. Great food, great coffee but the stand out was the customer service, have not experienced this for a very long time. We were shown to our table in courtyard and she check to see if our table had the wobbles and tried to help with the leveling. It's the little things. All the staff seem happy despite looking very busy. Your detail to good customer service is fantastic. Keep it up!
Food was nice not much under $14 for lunch. Coffe great.
Fire was going, nice atmosphere and fast service.

Terrible, unreasonable and greedy boss. Very unpleasant experience, the lady boss is very unfriendly and trying to squeeze four of us into a small 60x60cm side table near the counter, plus each person has a minimum $15.5 charge, we expressed our frustration, and they finally let us sit outside with two tables. The young waitress were friendly, wanted to give us two tables at beginning, however that lady boss wanted to override her idea, that boss didn’t talk to us directly but was instructing the girls in front of us, overriding which was embarrassing and not respectful, I feel sorry for the young waitress. I won’t come back next time.
A gorgeous spot for brunch and lunch.
They have great variety on the menu.
Lots of tables, and the staff flip them quickly, so you don't wait long to get a table.
Weekends are busy with visitors, but the staff are super helpful and very friendly.
Vegetarian options on the menu.
Children friendly.
They toilets on-site.
Don't miss the beautiful courtyard at the back.
We came for coffee and food and were happy with both. The staff were friendly and helpful, the menu had plenty of options, and the patio at the back was breathtaking.
Had breakfast at Olinda Cafe this morning, friendly staff, great food and well priced, this is my new Monday breakfast destination

Breakfast or lunch is a must at Olinda Cafe when visiting the beautiful Mount Dandenong. Cosy environment, friendly service and a great selection of food. They even have customer designated parking and entry at rear of cafe.
The Lamb shanks was so uncooked and hard and didn’t taste good at all. Was hard to chew and no seasoning or spice had been used to eliminate that raw taste of meat. Probably was better to order coffee only because there was no all day breakfast option on the menu.
Won’t go back there again.
