Okami (Wantirna) - Japanese All You Can Eat

Nice ambience with friendly staff. However, the pork was a bit undercooked and the miso was way too salty it's like I'm literally eating salt. Portion too small for the price I'm paying. I think you can do better next time.

Great value for food, spend amazing time with friends and family while fooding and best of all Japanese vegetarian starters was good. Main course can be improved

Delectable and plentiful all-you-can-eat experience. Very quick service of all dishes, and their matcha icecream at the end was super smooth. Will be back to dine again!

I have been to a few of this chain, and this one despite being smaller and older has been the best. Good food, atmosphere, and service.

The quality of food is not really good. Very oily to make you full most of all you can eat restaurants do this.

The food that we ordered was pretty average and not as high quality as some of the other Okami branches. Serving sizes were also smaller and didn't match the pictures in the menu. But for an all you can eat place it served it's purpose. If the food was nicer we probably would have eaten more.

Horrible experience we went on 12/08/22 7.45pm session (Wantirna). Deep fried chicken was dry and meant to be a hot dish but it was cold. The beef is the same it was cold and dry look like they were left over from yesterday. Some of the food we first placed an order came on the third orders took a long time. Never go back there again. I wouldn't recommend to any friends and families to go there.

I always get the all you can eat option, too expensive to order the dishes separately. Tasty food that comes out quickly. Highly recommend it.

First time here, staff were very joyous and friendly, food was quickly delivered to our table. We enjoyed all the dishes and it was what we expected for a busy buffet restaurant.

I love this restaurant! The value for money is great and a fantastic way to catch up with people & share your food, service is so quick, i honestly thought service would be slow so that they dont give as much food out but not the case, staff often come to your table to see if you want any more food and food is delicious! Great price for clean all you can eat food

This place is popular but we had terrible service the day we visited. Food never came after ordering, had to keep on reminding the wait staff, wrong dishes being served. Worst is the food is not authentic. The seasoning of food was so off that it was either bland or too salty, half the dishes arrived cold. For the price we didn't get to eat all we wanted as service was too slow. Even when it came to payment the staff decided to ignore the bigger group ahead of us and our family too. We all waited 5 minutes looking puzzled with about half a dozen staff buzzing around us but no one even trying to collect payment.

Two stars for the services and dishes that came fast. What else to expect? Well, we have mostly salty dishes and receipt without name and ABN on it, if you care about rebate by Midweek Melbourne Money.

Great menu, great price, nothing here may technically be coeliac friendly as cross contamination will always occur somewhere but most things can be Gluten Free, and they provided GF tamari in place of soy when I asked.
Will be coming back for sure.

First time visit with family celebration dinner.
Staff very helpful and accommodating. Food was a great selection, fresh, full of flavour and presentation simple but very impressive.
Very busy place. Make sure to book ahead. Has 2 sitting times for dinner.
5 - 7: 30pm and 7: 45 - 9: 30pm.

I don't often post restaurant reviews but this needs to be said.

1. The dishes we ordered were swapped with another table, they left dishes that weren't ours on the table for us. We had the error 5 times.

2. The food there was pretty bad, tataki beef was drowned in vinegar, grilled squid dried and rubbery clearly microwaved not long enough, mushroom salad inedible couldnt swallow as I knew I'd get a stomach ache if I had more than one slice. Grilled diced beef was cold AND last but not least the sashimi platter came out too slow, more rice than fish.

3. Not a lot of variety in terms of menu items

But to be fair, the staff were attentive and the waitress did ask for our honest feedback after the meal and showed genuine efforts to seek ways to improve.

Would definitely not go back unless some changes are made.

We are currently experiencing some toilet time as a result of the food not sitting well.

Great experience! Staff was friendly and food came out fast. Alaways enjoyable going to okami! Great place to try various japanese food in a nice atmosphere.

I'm sure food was good had only two of the three dishes ordered, really not sure had to leave early after having drink tray spilt over me beer although my hair on my clothes third dish never arrived you would think if you had spilt drink over someone you would be more attentive the drinks voucher promised to my husband never arrived never mind we won't be going back

Rang up at 5: 30 for takeout was told we couldn’t order until 7 very disappointed we were regular customers supported them with takeaway all through Covid lockdown food is great service not so
