Okami (Wantirna) - Japanese All You Can Eat

Outstanding! The food was sensational; the quality of the produce was incredible, every dish was cooked to perfection, and served hot. The service was very friendly and so fast! Excellent value, my teenage son with the bottomless stomach was so full at the end he couldn't even fit an icecream. If you think you like Japanese food, you cannot go past Okami. We will be back again and again.

We had a lovely experience at Okami Wantirna. I love the food and the staff were friendly.

Good food friendly and yummy. We visit this location quite often as we love the food. Good selection of food. Booked and had dinner last Monday here and as always staff were very friendly and attentive. We always visit this location and always enjoy our meal. I hope one day they will be able to add more dessert options. Loved the green tea ice cream though.

All you can eat is great value for $40! Service is fast, staff are very attentive and food is decent for the price.

Reserved a table for Friday night last week and we got sat down in between 2 other couples right on top of one another we were closer to the people next to us then each other. Very squishy so we ended up walking out and going to a different restaurant

We eat all you can eat menu. It was ok, the beef carpaccio was our favorite. The food was ok. The staff was ok but they were in a rush all the time.

What happened to you okami wantirna?: - (We’ve been several times in the past pre-covid and loved it.) BUT we went last night and the food brought out was NOT freshly cooked at alll but DISGUSTING. The fried dishes were tepid, cold and soggy, batter floury and wet.the beef dish had that unmistakable reheated after refrigeration taste with cool soggy noodles. Sushi was borderline stale refrigerated rice, worse than food-court quality. Vegetable kakiage was the only thing that came out fresh. To repeat, the food was DISGUSTING, low grade, cold and soggy and in NO WAY up to the standard this restaurant USED to hold and does NOT represent the bright and fresh culinary taste Japanese cuisine normally displays. AVOID this place people, we will never go back here and resent the bill in its entirety. We weren’t expecting 5 star Japanese to perience at what is (at the end of the day) “all you can eat” but in this restaurants case, it should advertise “all you can stomach” which based on yesterdays revolting performance is not much at all.

Food was good but customer service was very poor. We were notified of waste policy by a waiter with an inappropriate attitude. When we finished, I complained to waiter about his rude attitude but surprisingly he insisted that he was right. I was so disappointed. Clearly, you don’t know the basics of customer service. My second and last visit, We won’t come back again.

I have been to Okami Camberwell which was a disappointment. So I've decided to try Wantirna instead. Smaller outlet but the service was great and fast. They didn't intentionally delay like in the Camberwell branch. The only negative is that their chairs are too low and we are not that tall. We will definitely go back.

The menu is slowly evolving, so every now and then, you get something new to try.

I would recommend for a large crew, as you can just order a bunch of stuff to try and share.

It was a good experience. The food was fresh and delicious. You can order as many as you want. Loved the portion servings as well Small but so filling. We will definitely come back again.

For only $39.90 you can get the most amazing all you can eat feast for you and your friends. The food was immaculate, I'm talking bussin bussin goodness. I would definitely recommend the beef carpaccio, it was amazing. The staff were super friendly and the service was so quick. Every single dish was delicious and so well plated. Will definitely be coming back here again and again. The drinks were really delicious too. Great range of soju drinks to choose from.

AMAZING food! Recently went here for the first time for my birthday dinner after multiple friends gave me rave reviews. Love the portion sizes and variety to choose from, and my vegan bestie was also well catered for. The food comes out super quickly, and the service was wonderful. Also highly recommend trying the yuzu sake - I am absolutely obsessed!

The only good thing about this place was the staff Food was average and even though the bill is $40 each you cannot pay separately

We normally order from Hitoshi Sushi in Ringwood but closed on a Monday. Food was definitely sub-standard from these guys, not so fresh, would never order again

Very busy. All you can eat, be sure to order multiple items, at least four. Otherwise the wait between courses could be long. No split bills is the surprise at the end of dinner. Credit card surcharge 1.5% not identified on the menu. An interesting and well presented food selection easily enjoyed by people even if you not used to Japanese style foods.

I attended this restaurant with my Son and his family.we arrived and were shown to an upstairs room and then to our table. We selected our initial drinks then another waiter appeared and took our orders for our initial meals. We sat and waited patiently for 5, then 10 minutes and 15 minutes. I surveyed the otheeeer tables andd noted that food was being delivered at quite regular intervals, whilst we sat waiting. Eventually, a waiter appeared and delivered ONE dish of the 7 or 8 that we had initially ordered and continued onto other tables. This process continued for another half hour or so, with one dish at a time arriving. At one stage, we asked what had happened to the initial dish that had ordered and were told that, yes, it was ordered but is still to arrive. By now, we were reordering our second round of dishes, and whilst they arrived slowly, the initial dish was still to come until at least a hour and a quarter after we initially ordered it, along with a flurry of other dishes. Considering we were on a two limit between sittings, the meal then became a little rushed as we were running out of time with our sitting. I was not impressed, even thought the other members of the party seemed non-plussed. I won't be rushing back here.

Food was just OK for me. 3 star. Most of the dishes tasted the same. Service was excellent. Our orders came out really fast. The wait staff were efficient. 1 extra star for the service. Booking online was easy. I wouldn't be patronising again though.
