Okami (Mornington) - Japanese All You Can Eat

This is a great Japanese restaurant with fabulous food and excellent service. Staff are efficient and friendly. Even though the restaurant was very busy we did not have to wait long for our order. The all you can eat menu is extensive and easily will please most people. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Food is cold and oily when served. Service is terrible, it took 10 mins to get an order and we waited 30 mins for the food to come. And it was not fresh. Ice cream are all melt. When we ask for some frozen one, the staff said "they are all like that". Unacceptable. Told the staffs about the situation when we left and we got the answer that they were busy and staffs are new. All I ask for is fresh food. Not cold deep fried and oily stir fried.

Very friendly service. Food was tasty, staff were great. Good atmosphere.will come back for sure.

Fantastic Japanese food master. You try it only once and you will a life long customer. Suggest adding Moochi to dessert menu.

We won't be going back again. If you're wanting authentic Japanese food, service and ambience, suggest you go elsewhere. This place is like a fast food outlet.

We ate at the second sitting 7: 45pm. We arrived at 7.40 and all tables were set up for service but we weren't allowed in and it was a freezing cold night. Extremely noisy place to eat. Food fair. Service was quick & our waitress was good. Food is literally dumped on the table by the wait staff.

By the end of the sitting, waiters were clearing all the tables while we were still eating. They were literally throwing plates into the cleanup containers, while we were trying to have a conversation above the noise. Obviously they wanted everyone out quickly.

Had to line up to enter and then line up to pay.

And they DON'T split the bill!

Felt like we were at a school camp. Get in, eat all you can and get out fast

Had dinner here. Had to book as its very busy. Cafe style restaurant, loud and lots of atmosphere. Cant go past the great all you can eat pricing and the food and service was perfect. Good luck Okami.

Great venue, really friendly female staff, quick service! Only issue is the noise, found it was extremely hard to hear someone two seats away. Definitely worth trying it though for the sushi platters!

It's alright for the price but don't expect 5 star service. Little ambience, loud, no music and bad lighting. Waiters were definitely attentive & quick which was nice but we found them a bit rude, one even asked we quickly eat something on the plate so he could take it. If you're looking for a quick cheap eat then reccomend but don't go for a romantic date or anything

What a great addition to the main street of Mornington. Really great value and super yummy food. I have been to Japan many times so its great to have authentic Japanese food in Mornington. The fit out is really upmarket and position is great. Sit inside or do some people watching in the outside area. Definitely recommended.

Quite noisy but food was ok. Not the best ever Japanese but certainly excellent value for money.

The food is so worth it! Your $34.80 won't go to waste because of the ambiance, service and delicious food. Super recommended for birthday celebration for small groups. But not recommended for people who wants a quiet place to eat. Overall I'm very satisfied.

Overall experience was great, the food is the best, my asian heart is so happy. I understood as to why the food sometimes took time to be served because the restaurant is super full. We will surely come back.

Attention to detail is a talent that cannot be learnt.it's passion. Jason is a true example of finesse and provides a dining experience second to none. On Wednesday evening we had an exceptional evening with my family. Cuisine that could not be faulted. Clean and sharp presentation. Temperatures on point. Jason did bring service to another level. I ran my own multi award winning restaurant and if I was to have the honour of Jason on my floor, I would definitely be putting him as my head Garzon. There's quality and there's quantity. I will put a special mention to all the chef's at the Australian Culinary Federation and support Okami Mornington, there's no value on Jason's service, but I believe he is by far one of the greatest that has served me in my 35 years in this culinary world at 5 star level.

Food & service great when dining in, takeaway useless.they don't answer the phone and pick and choose when they actually take orders.
