Okami (Hoppers Crossing) - Japanese All You Can Eat

Having here couple of times, service was great, the food is heavenly! Will bring more friends to come

Absolutely disgraceful! Went with my family and told them my mum was an overseas traveller and is not issued a digital certificate but the one on a card. I presented the card and was then told to present her passport. Like I travel with one when going out for dinners. Shameful, business like these is an absolute disgrace.

They state that they cook fresh food you but when some of my meals came out to me they were cold. It's like they have been pre cooked or something in advance.
Dishes were half portion size compared to the images on the menu so you need to order many number of plates to try to be satisfied. I only ordered 4 dishes, dumplings were nice, the rest was cold, especially the seafood dish it was cold and very disappointing. I left still hungry.

I like the fresh format of being able to order as you go rather than there being a big line up for soggy food that you get at most buffets. They did a really good takeaway deal during covid which we enjoyed - really smart business. I'm my experience this place is always pretty busy, so always book!

Take away order for the Pork Katsu Bento, chicken Karage and Chicken Katsu Don- love it. Very generous portion sizes, the karage was spot on and tasty.

Only part I would nit pick on was too much curry on the katsu and spring rolls, just reduce it a tad.

Five stars are not enough for the brilliant experience I have had in this restaurant. With its delicious food and high-end services, I had the most delightful birthday party in here. It's an insightful discovery to Japanese cuisine.

Okami is fricken amazing, highly highly recommend this place. All food is incredible and the wait staff are super friendly, especially Leon.

My partner took me out for dinner to my favourite type of place, an All You Can Eat restaurant, and wow, it was amazing.
Japanese; but not the scary kind.
Everything tasted beautiful. They will bring your food very fast, and you have approximately an hour and a half to order your last meal and dessert, and an extra 30 minutes to finish, and it was easily enough time even with someone running late.
Pretty much $45 per person, due to drinks.

It is definitely somewhere you want to try.

We didn't come for the buffet. Just ordered 2 items from menu. Waited 20mins for the food to come. That's very long wait. Food was ok.

Always friendly staff and accommodating. Twice I came without a booking and they would find a way to still take me in. Fast service and would definitely recommend for a nice dinner with family or friends for any occasion.

Excellent food and value for money. A must visit! Loved the squid, steak, prawn tempura, sushi platter and spicy squid.

Never order from this place. Food has been preparing for more than an hour and still hasnt arrived and is estimated to arrive in another hour. They don't pick up the phone to contact so I cant even check on what's happening with my order. I also can't cancel the order without paying a $15 cancellation fee, Save yourself time, money and stress and order somewhere else

We love this restaurant for our kids. All you can eat Japanese is one of our family favourites. We have visited this place many times, and we always leave happy and satisfied. They have a set buffet menu, with cold sushi platters, and a simple hot food. My kids always order seaweed salad, sushi platters, chicken skewers, and fried chicken. Service is friendly and food is served fairly quickly. Restaurant is always busy, and it has 2 serving time intakes at 5.30 and 7pm. Its a casual, relaxed environment, and the toilets and wash rooms are always clean. I d recommend to local families in the area, that love Japanese food. Not bad for $35pp.

Food was high quality and came out quickly after ordering. Clean, bright venue. Well sanitised and tables spaced appropriately. Soft music in the background. Plenty of staff. Amazing quality, wouldn't ever know it's an all you can eat! Definitely will be back!

Went here as a party of three and ordered a fair bit of food and wasn't kept waiting for a long time. Food delivered hot and fresh, tasted great.

Love Okami. Quick service. Food is fresh and plentiful. A little noisy because of the concrete floors and quite possibly because Victorians were just happy to be out and not in lockdown. Great food. Great value. Feel ya boots.

The food at Okami Hoppers Crossing tonight was great. Freshly prepared and delicious. However, my expectations for overall experience were higher based on a previous visit to Okami Footscray. My comments are a direct comparison between the 2 experiences. We had 5 people dining tonight, and the entrees that we ordered were at best a serving size for 2 people. Wait staff were slow to attend and take orders for more dishes. Some pre-prepared dishes came out quickly after being ordered, but for the most part service was slow. Lastly, for a 2 hour session with slow service, the waitress came to our table 1.5 hours in, and advised she was taking last orders. Fine if we'd had a chance to place more orders earlier, but given we weren't, not a great way to round off the night. 5 stars for the food. 3 stars for order taking and service speed. 4 stars overall.

EXCEPTIONAL FOOD, SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE. 1ST TIME AND WILL BE BACK FOR SURE. FAVE CUISINE IS JAPANESE BECAUSE OF RESTAURANTS LIKE THIS.

It was so enjoyable for the nice food and friendly service in Okami restaurant hoppers crossing. This was second time my parents and I made a dinner there, they feel appreciated for reasonable price and fresh seafood, especially the cooked prawn and the crispy chicken, very juicy and tasty～
They highly recommended this restaurant to their friends by sending them a few of videos of the food while we having dinner, seem like their friends were interested to have a try on Okami restaurant next time. I believe they would feel as enjoyable as we did in Okami restaurant hoppers crossing too, because of the high quality customer service and nice food.
