Okami (Bendigo) - Japanese All You Can Eat

Delicious food and good services. Like the owner couple who go beyond and above to meet our expectations. Keep up with the good work and highly recommend it.

If I can give this place a ZERO, I would! Horrible attitude, sub-par food quality, self declared Chinese sushi chef, not even sure if he is an actual trained sushi chef! I feel bad for our cousin who invited us to dine at this place, as it is our first time in Bendigo. Avoid this place like a plague, if you can. We were waiting for our order for more than 1 hour, so we asked the "sushi Chef" if we can cancel it and just straight to dessert and he started yelling and telling us, how busy he is, as he is the sushi chef and also taking out orders. He didn't even bother listening to us, we weren't even complaining, we were helping him to solve his "super busy" situation. HORRIBLE FOOD, HORRIBLE SERVICE!

Bear witness to this splendid trip worthy restaurant, set right in the heart of Bendigo. The show stopping service coupled with the mouth melting food and design. This loving home shows passion and care in their craft. The Manager, Jack, Has shown his care and love for this profession by giving us an experience, instead of a service. If you are traveling to Bendigo or seek a true taste of japanese culture, Okami is the place to be. With memorable dishes such as Takoyaki, Sushi platters and the Chicken Katsu, they leave your taste buds with unforgettable memories. Okami is the best Restaurant in the whole of Bendigo, and worth the humble price and road trip.

The food was expectedly outstanding, but what really stood out to my friends and I was the phenomenal service provided by Jack. Jack ensured that my group felt safe, comfortable, and most importantly, hungry! Walking through the doors to this absolutely gorgeous location was admittedly a little intimidating, but Jack made it all better.
Even if you don’t like Japanese food, come here for Jack.

Interesting place but pretty strict about there manners. I think a bit friendliness might go a long way. Good food though.

Have been here 6 times previously. Really disappointed with the food and service tonight. 23/07. Most of the dishes we ordered arrived very quickly but were luke warm at best. It was very hard to catch anyones eye to do another order. The Yakiniku Beef was really disappointing.

Do your self a favour if you’re in town and love Japanese this place is an absolute must!

Best Japanese food I ate in a long time! And Leslie was really attentive and helpful! We had a very good time with my boyfriend, definitely coming back!

Place was crowded, but we didn't have to wait for service.
First class place for a meal and drinks.

So impressed with the fact that they had an allergy list to tell us any allergens in the dishes, which was perfect for my mum’s onion and garlic intolerances

Last night was my first visit to okami and I must say I was not disappointed with the food, it was amazing.

The service was OK, there were heaps of staff running around all night, however it was hard to actually find the staff that took the food orders.

It was very busy, however the venue wasn't full. I found it a little too cramped at the tables and they were too close to the next group essentially making it too hard to leave your table as our chairs were touching the back of the chairs on the table behind. About a quarter of the venue was empty so they could have spread us all out a bit better. Also, being sat so close together with other large groups made it hard for us to have conversations amongst our table as it was far too noisy!

Love the fact it is all you can eat sushi. The quality of the food is excellent. The staff are wonderful!

The restaurant always seems full and bookings are recommended. The food is great, all you can eat, but don't waste any. Service is A1. The order system is great. Food start's arriving within minutes (small servings of each dish ordered)

Nice cosy environment with tasty food. Food can be a bit costly, but it is definitely amazing. Staff is nice and helpful. Good place for families and friends to gather.

Food was excellent, we didn’t realise it was all you could eat so we pulled up a couple of dishes short? But staff and food were great, definitely be back

A very surprising find in Bendigo. Good value compared to local options. I would say for a lar cate the portions were tiny but would have been fine for all you can eat

Absolutely disgusting services And your owners should be ashamed of you! We went with a group of people where the rest of the table ordered and when they got to us we were told that we had to share the food that the other people had ordered. The person who was taking our order was so rude and abrupt, I work in customer service industry and if she worked for me she would have been sacked on the spot- if this is how you guys treat your customers you should not be in business. Once again absolutely discussed how we were treated.

Yummy food, we both had Bento boxes, along with some entrees, could not complain about the prices either
