Okami (Ballarat) - Japanese All You Can Eat reviews
59Poor compliance with Covid safety. Sitting at table near window and staff sat 4 people immediately behind me, we’ll less than 1 metre away to wait for take away.
Having had good takeaway from here in the past this time was disappointing. Sashimi and sushi was poorly prepared and bland with possibly the tuna being frozen. The vegetarian rolls consisted only of avocado nothing else. Maybe the COVID lockdown has had a detrimental effect
Came on a Tuesday, very busy which was surprising. Kept missing our orders, coke came after asking for it 3 times, dessert didn't even come. No complaints about the food, it was decent, probably not enough service staff
Really poor quality food, the chicken was inedible and something I feared may make me ill. Everything manufactured, nothing prepared with passion or care.
Very good and fast service, very nice amount of servings. The food in the plate is very appealing and appetising.
Waited 30 to 40 mins for food, had to reorder everytime just to get this. You get what you pay for.
Was ok - Nothing flash, but thats what you get for an all you can eat location. Had to re-order a few things that were missed.
Food was tasty enough.
We arrived at 7.45 for the 2nd seating of all you can eat for the day.
We were seated within 30 seconds of arriving and a waitress was at our table within 5 minutes to take our first order. We ordered some dishes to share between the 4 of us and when we are finished with those we ordered more.
The expectation here is you finish what you order so you're not wasteful, so we were careful to only order a couple dishes between us at a time so we knew we could finish what was brought to our table.
The food was amazing as always! It's all cooked to order and you can tell it is, it all comes out piping hot. My favourites are the prawn dumplings, edamame, chicken karage, vegetable spring rolls and the teriyaki steak. If you are going with a group of people who eat everything now is the time for you to try new things!
We all left very full and very happy with the food we had just been served. We will definitely eat here again.
Well-cooked food, great staff, very cold seating location. Sitting elsewhere would have snagged the extra star. Love the tapas-style portion sizing. We will be returning in the near future for sure.
It’s really nice ambiance and good service. Lots of variety for the price you paid. I highly recommend this place one of the best Japanese restaurant in Ballarat.
Food is always fresh, great value for money and great service. We always enjoy our night out there with family and friends.
This place is the perfect night out with your work group or with your partner. For $40 a head all you can eat you just can't go wrong. Food was fresh, service was excellent at the price for all you can eat cooked to order no buffet, was just amazing it was so good I will be back next week. And at least once a month from now on.
Prepare to roll out of there. The food is great and they offer great vegetarian options too. Highly recommend this place.
This restaurant is wonderful! Their food is so fresh and delicious. They have have gone above and beyond to accommodate my celiac food needs, and made substitutes for me without any hassle (using the uber app, no less). I cannot explain how appreciative I am for them, and to find great Japanese food in Ballarat.
$35 per person all you can eat! Not including drinks it's an amazing place for dinner! The only thing they need to make this perfect is the ability to split the bill
Really good! We took our relatively picky kids for All you can eat and they smashed nearly everything. They love edamame so we definitely took advantage there, karaage chicken was a huge hit, rice was ideal! Sushi platters on point and the miso beef was perfect.
Staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming.
Drinks list was big enough but could show off some harder to get Japanese beer and wine but the Sake was still good.
We had dinner on last Sunday. We didn't make booking, we just walked in around 6: 30pm and staff found us a table, we start enjoy our food. All good.
From 7pm, a waitress came to our table to take the last order. We have to had our dessert before or with some food. (fried rice, tariyaki chicken.)
Feel like we was pushed out of the restaurant because they need table for more customers. If the staff told us have to leave by 7: 30pm at beginning, We will feel more comfortable.
I had the most amazing experience. The food was fantastic.just delicious and the service was also amazing.thanks for the good night.
Not too bad. We had the all you can eat and it was pretty good. The tempura was great, the steak less so. Try the ice cream.
Great experience.such good quality food, hot, fresh, atmosphere was great. Table of 6.all you can eat option. No one walked away hungry
