Really disappointed tonight, as a regular customer of Okami Caulfield we felt really let down by service and quality. Myself and my partner were seated in the corner of an empty restaurant upon arrival and told as we did not have a booking, this was the only option available. We had to constantly search for servers attention waiting roughly 20 mins between each dish, we went for the all you can eat menu, some dishes were cold, some dishes never came out at all, constantly reminding staff of what was ordered, with drinks the bill came to 190 dollars, for this price and the experience provided feel really let down!

Great food. Very quick service. Extremely loud inside when the place is busy. A family let their child watch some cartoons on their phone on full volume and the next table were howling with laughter. General noise levels are loud. A fun place but dont expect to have a clear and easy conversation with your friends.

Had ordered a bento box that was extremely underwhelming, and freshness questionable.stark opposite to all the reviews here.

First time Okami diners!

Tbh when we first walked in we were hit with the smell of urine and then seated just a short distance from where the smell was emitting at the front (also where food was being prepped.)

For a buffet, it was nice! The cooked prawn & sashimi were pretty good, the chicken karage was basically fried chicken skin/fat, the beef was probably the best! Teriyaki & Yakiniku beef! The beef & sliced veges in garlic were drenched in oil but no different from other places. The potato croquettes were wonderful too! Overall, it could have been a 4 stars, especially given seafood is usually a hit or miss - so far no bubble guts! The siumai was pretty trash but it was nice that most of the plates came with side salads.

Our service was pretty half n half, when we were served it was done so with perfect mannerisms however the time it took for our food to arrive was pretty slack, either singularly or sometimes not at all so resorted to ordering 3 items at a time so as to at least have something coming at any given time - we noted the impeccable service given to other patrons and chalked it up to being 2 ppl vs a group of 3 and a large family gathering, not acceptable but explainable.

So we essentially ordered food, waited a longer time in comparison to other diners (15-20mins max with sometimes food not coming at all) and was served 1 plate at a time when they did come. We were pretty rushed towards the last half hour too.

We paid just under $100 for 2 + 4x drinks = Overall, for a super baked foodiegal, I’d probably go here once a year or two.

Great place with amazing taste. Very nice and fast customer service. Reasonable price for a Japanese cuisine.
Absolutely recommend this place for anyone trying Japanese cuisine for first time or even more.

Arigato.

Food is great, no problem there, but service is.
We had to wait a long time for the food. Some items took over an hour and multiple reminders to the waiters before it appeared. Given you only have 2 hours, it is not "all you can eat", but rather "you can eat all we decide to bring you".
Manager is not available, all you get is "we are sorry". Well, this does not help much, does it?

Horrible, the fishes were not fresh at all. Sushi rice tasted bad and everything was salty and oily.
Bad Japanese food ever.

30 minutes and only 2 dishes now 40 minutes and 3 dishes. It seems like the food is going out very uneven. It will be the last time I eat or refer Perhaps I will try another Okami Still unhappy now a one star we previously have eaten here perhaps 20 times

It's good value, but some things didn't taste very fresh, with some others not being thoroughly defrosted, also. Service by the end of the second sitting becomes really slow of you're not near the bar as no waiting staff will come around the wall to check on the tables for long periods of time.

Overall great value for money, and will definitely go again.

$37 for all you can eat. Yes it is great value but the food is just okay. But still 4 stars for the experience and value. Greta place to bring the kids

Great food and well priced! A few mistakes were made with our order and we had to wait ages for service which was odd as we were a group on a very quiet Sunday lunch.

Food was alright. The meat on the nigiri was sliced extremely thin, presumably to save costs but compromises on rice to meat ratio. The only sashimi option available is salmon and but you cannot order it alone. However, Service was good. For an all-you-can-eat at its price, you do get a good variety, and this place is certainly good enough if ur looking to pig out.

It isn't worth the $36.80 for all you can eat.

The only items that were decent was the sashimi, sushi and the ice cream.

The curry was so watery it barley had taste, the beef was like rubber and the defrosted dumpling were somehow worse than supermarket purchased ones.

For almost $40 you can get your fill of good quality sushi and Japanese food at many other restraunts in Melbourne.

The worst staff member ever. This place doesn’t even deserve a single star, nor any rating…. It definitely belongs in the negative. I was astounded by the lack of respect from the staff member who was taking my payment. She had to be the most uneducated, disrespectful, rudest person I’ve come across for quite a long time. I can’t believe that you can even employ a person like her. I’m pretty sure you didn’t do your due diligence…. Absolutely disgraceful.

Oh heavens. Where do I begin? Thank you for such a deluxe experience. I have never encountered such deliciousness in my last four years of bumbling around this globe. My associates and I ordered a range of protein and carbohydrates and we were not dissappointed with any dish. I highly recommend this venue for any person aged 15-42 or 50-75.

If you're a big eater and love yummy Japanese food then you need to check out this place. Very spacious and the staff are always courteous.

Tasty food and great service! It was a bit hard to estimate the amount of food that we need, (as I do not like food waisting) - portions on the menu looks much bigger that the are in the reality. Eventually I decided to order a small quantity per each order and everything was fine.
