Officeworks South Yarra reviews
73Great for ID photos. I used to do my photos at Australia Post, but they didn't have the format for the Romanian citizenship, so I ended up here. I got the best service, very patient, caring and professional, the whole process was so much better than the Auspost one. Will be using Officeworks for all my future ID photos.
I've been several times, the staff don't look friendly, I had asked one about a product and price, no help at all, she didn't even bother trying, just said, I don't know.that's it and didn't help further, walked off.sorry but it's disgusting, I go there as it's the closest one and sadly I go there knowing I'm amongst grumps, it's not nice feeling, wish they just had more smiles
The staff of this store is not helping when u need something just looking around and do nothing. Disappointing
ALWAYS bring a USB with you! Waited for 55 mins in the shop, but couldn't get anything printed, due to an unknown technical issue with the incoming email server at their end.
Great local Officeworks, with all the basics we need, really appreciate this branch. However, the 1 star is because they are removing the coin operated printing card recharge machine, and replacing the whole system with cards.
Absolutely despise every business removing the options to pay with cash.
Specially when scams and fraud are growing more than ever with the world of tapping cards, so I prefer to go to ATM now and then, get cash out, and leave the card at home, much safer. Plus much better to manage our budget if we only carry the amount of cash that we should spend on the day, so we can avoid compulsive unnecessary over shopping.
Also, doesn’t help to manage bank statements if suddenly we have a bunch of tiny transactions in it.
Imagine, we print 2 pages at time, and then will be these $0,20 cents transactions just to make statements longer when managing our finances.
Big NO NO to all business removing cash options and forcing card payments into people.
Also, they keep going on and on about the environment, where are those printing card recharging machines going now?
If would be much better for the environment if we could keep using the recharge machines to recharge our printing cards using coins, and you would have saved the environment from having to manufacture all those card payment machines to replace them.
Time to buy a printer and stop printing at office works.
It was good while it last.
Shame that they had to ruin a great thing.
Regular customer at the South Yarra store, usually always have everything in stock. Girl who greets at the door is such a gem, always willing to help me find what I’m looking for
Why bother. The photo print machines the staff don’t know how to work. They are always out of stock of items. Generally why bother opening
Poor customer service, not very informative. Ordered flyers to be told they were coming from Sydney? 2 weeks later, and still waiting.
Do NOT use officeworks for passport photos. Total waste of time, they will not be compliant when you take them to the post office and you'll have to pay the post office to take new photos.
This Officeworks is probably the worst one I’ve ever been to. I was waiting in line for 10+ minutes and the employees knew they had six or more people to get through. This guy in the yellow bucket hat (Angus) just about to serve me and the five people behind me, and then suddenly stopped wanting to help the people in the queue. He decided to then walk to the front door and just talk to his other employee and just lean on the aisle post doodling.
I was so shocked that he decided to stop helping anyone which was part of his job and left the only guy to help everyone behind me. Retrain your people or get people who actually have the urgency to help or work properly.
Staff are unwilling to assist. They had the product I was looking for but didn’t have a display demo. I asked the girl if I can see it before I buy and she was reluctant to do that and said it just a brown box! I stressed that I want to actually buy it and want to see the product features on the box and she kept arguing and saying it’s the same as in the website. Girl just go and get it! She did eventually but instead of bringing it to me she placed on the bench next to the register and told me from distance it’s over there! Girl at the register wasn’t excited about answering my questions either and then have the audacity to ask me for a donation! 2 stars only bcoz they had what I travelled to them for!
The worst customer service ever. Just now went to do some print - the price for self service is 49C for a page, the one at a counter is 79C a page.
I tried to do a self service, email pages to address and tried to scan the code. It kept saying me there is an err so I had to go to the counter.
Girl at the counter said me I needed to have a card. I asked for the card, first she gave the card and than mentioned card is $1.75. And than I had to put money on the card to pay for my print
Which actually doesn’t make sense, because I was printing only 3 pages.
I said that in this case I wouldn’t want purchase a card if I knew I had to pay.
She turned in the rude mode with no explanation going to another counter. Apparently, I meant to follow. Sorry, I cannot read your mind. How would I know?
Printing is okay but I wouldn’t recommend going this one just bcs the way stuff treats you
Very slow service. 15 min min wait, even there are staff standing without work. Stuff priorities people out of the queue for some bizarre reason
Don’t bother printing photos there. It takes forever. Wifi never works. Need to email them to the desk then get a usb.
Every machine is slow or doesn’t work. Eftpos on photo computers don’t work.
Staff just stand around watching you struggle. Waste of time
Worst possible place I’ve been to in Melbourne. The girl who was supposed to take photos pretended like the camera didn’t work just cause she didn’t want to work after 8: 40. Didn’t know office works closes at 9pm but the staff shut off by 8: 40pm? Make it clear on your website so we don’t waste our time.
They should get 5 stars for the slowest service. Everytime I've tried to print something, I've had to wait for at-least 20 minutes.
Customer service is terrible. The team member appeared annoyed when I asked for help and it was an inconvenience to serve me. I will never go back my money is going else where.
Absolutely the worst customer service. The cashier did what I asked for with bad customer service attitude then she did not pay attention to me but was talking to her friends behind the counter then shows me the pay pad to tap my card then she walks away not asking if I wanted my receipt which I did and I had to literally stop her and tell her I want my receipt and she still didn't acknowledge my support and gave the receipt to me and just walked away.almost not needing my support to the business. So pls the cashier staff definitely need customer service training. I can tell you I will spend my money at plenty of the other Officeworks that welcomes my support. This was my first time at this branch and it looks like they are not needing customers for business here. All good I have other options.
Terrible service due to lack of staff.
I understand how frustrating this can be for staff however I don’t appreciate staff being sarcastic and using “my shift has ended” as an excuse to give solutions.
If I did not need it urgently I would have left. Definitely not coming back.
Had amazing service from a young lady named Sophie. She went above & beyond to assist me with the photo centre. Sophie was extremely helpful in getting photos I needed off my mum's ipad, onto a USB & printed. My mother had recently passed, and Sophie not only made a stressful situation much easier, she was also very kind. Keep up the Great Work Sophie.
