The store greeter this morning was impolite and had a sour disposition. While asking a question she walked away from me, this happened twice and I could not retrieve the information I required. Staff need more training in customer service.

Been going here for years and the last week of dealing with this branch has been extremely offputting<<<polite understatement. I will never return unless I cannot buy something elsewhere.

I go in last Saturday (22/8/20) with the intention to buy an all-in-one desktop. Tom served me. About 7 were on display, at least 3 had tags stating stock unavailability. Understandable, due to Covid. That's fine, I explain to Tom what I was using it for and he states one of the available HP one was capable of it. I go with it, as well as buy a fancy wireless mouse/keyboard, 1 year microsoft subscription and antivirus protection. Tom says he left the PC for me up front.

Get to the front counter, a young girl serves me. Scans the PC, it comes up $500 more expensive than displayed. I notify her, she notifies Tom. Tom is confused. Tom realises he had grabbed a more expensive model (one that was meant to be unavailable) but is it out of my price range. I get told to check JB-HI-FI if they have stock or order online if they don't. Which is what happens so I end up ordering the PC online. Money deducted from my bank account. Within a few hours I get an email stating something along the lines of "you did not meet our security requirements, we have had to decline your order".

Return Monday, younger guy who had no name badge served me. I show him the email and explain the situation, he checks his tablet and finds out Waurn Ponds store has 3 in stock. I leave the store, call Waurn Ponds and find out they have.wait for it.none. Return back into the store, notify the younger guy of this and ask whether he can order it in for me. He gives me the barcode tag off the shelf to bring up front. Which I do, Darrell serves me. An older gentleman. He types a few things in and asks me to pay. I show him the email and explain my situation even my online bank statement too. He insists I must pay now and not at pickup which is my preference. I didn't want to argue and pay. If this was a special order I can understand, but this PC was sold on display.
I have now paid for 2 PC's having received.nothing.

Comes Wednesday, money from the online purchase has been refunded. My computer has arrived in the store and I go in and pick it up, Hooray! I even buy a new Samsung tablet while i'm there too!
Go home, set it up. It is running okay.but the more I use it the more I realise that. Jesus, I wouldn't have paid $100 if I knew the PC would run like this. Lagging when more than 2 Chrome tabs are open and even freezing to the point I had to hardware reset. 8GB RAM with a 2020 modern processor? My 2011 4GB RAM Laptop im upgrading from is faster.
I was done.

Friday comes, I call them up to explain my refund. Not exchange, refund. As you can understand why. I needed to know what to do with the microsoft subscription, antivirus protection and whether I needed the box (it was damp as prior night rained heavily and it was left outside). Anyways, phone rang 15 minutes before someone picked up. Guy picked up, who puts me back on hold to get someone from the tech department. 5 minutes later, he picks up as if I was a new customer.i then ask him about the refund and he can only answer the box issue. I find out myself it can be transferred to my new computer even if I factory reset my current shitbox.

Go in and I am served by Mathew and his Manager, Julie. They were very pleasant and made the refund quickly. Despite me not having a receipt available. They are the reason i'm leaving 1/5 stars. 2/5 to cut the store some slack due to Covid.

Point is, been into this store 5 times in the last 6 days. Still, no computer having dealt with some horrific customer service too.
I go to JB-HI-FI and within an hour leave and have a new computer, functioning beautifully.

Stay away from this store!

Poor customer service, staff at printing unfriendly and cold. Binding is normally done on the spot every other officeworks I've been to but was told to wait two hours here.

Hi guys, here is my experience with Officeworks in Geelong.well, yesterday about 11am, I went there to get myself a Laptop.obviously I needed some assistance so I approached the red haired lady at the cash register asking for someone to assist me.she then contacted someone from "technology" customer service.so, I approached her three times asking when is the assistance coming.anyway, after 10 or 15 minutes, it felt forever, i felt awkward just standing there so I thanked her and left.went inside excited, went out soooo disappointed.at this place customer service doesn't exist.insted of spending millions of dollars on marketing and advertising, they should invest that money in improving customer service.if somebody cares.

ANSWER YOUR PHONE! It rang about 30 times before I finally gave up. Good luck with your sales during COVID-19

Placed 2 photo orders via the app didn't receive the collection email. When I called to enquire they asked me to hold and disconnected immediately and didn't receive any of my calls after. The store has good range of products but the staff is good for nothing.

When walking in to Officeworks Geelong don't expect any customer service.

Always great service when I come here. Such a large range of things and the self serve printing services are really easy to use. The staff are always so lovely and happy to help whenever I need them, I love going here for any project.

Online ordering here is a breeze and I can usually get same day pickup on anything I order. I really love to come here and browse the collection of arts supplies and never falter in find ing something cool and helpful for my work. LOVE Office Works Geelong.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Huge range. Open early till late. Only issue is that I can buy an expensive (for me) Parker refillable fountain pen. But not buy the refill cartridges to make it actually reusable. Still not a big enough issue to knock a star off tho. Keep it up!

It's a wonderful one stop shop for stationary, desks, electronic and just about everything school and office related. I personally did not have issues with the printers nor has anyone else I know so it is sad to hear that it occurred to some people.

It even has popular art supplies in stock such as copic marker and prismacolors.

Even over the phone with newbie employees was pleasant

Their $99 Hutch Desk is one of my best purchases.

Have been in a few times on the weekend and it seems that they have a bit of a staff issue on those days. Walked in no staff beside the door and no one just wondering the store to assist customers. In such a big store i think its very impotent to be able to point people in the right direction.

Worst machines and digital printing I have ever had the misfortune to use. I spent 45minutes trying to print multiple copies of 2 photos from my phone. Constantly disconnects, their app doesn’t work and their wifi doesn’t work. On top of that the staff had no way of knowing how to sort it or offered any alternative. Would rather pay double and use a locally owned place to print photos in future.

Standing at the self service printing area. The top up machine has crashed and none of the staff could be bothered to reboot it.

What's with the sky high prices? I guess not so much an issue for this particular store but the business in general. Ended up buying all my uni stuff elsewhere!

Friendly Staff, good place to buy office supplies. You can order online and they will deliver or buy it in person.

Large warehouse style building, great for almost anything you'll need in an office space, plenty of parking around the back aswell
