Oakridge Wines

You’re not going to have a bad time dining here but my experience inclusive of value for product didn’t warrant 5 stars on the day. Although immaculately presented I found the food quite underwhelming for the price relative to the competition. The venue is also big and seems quite commercial which is a bit cold in vibe however the service was great and there’s a very nice view.

Nice wines, lovely food (definitely will not disappoint), great views and friendly staff. We had a great wine tasting and lunch experience here and have marked it down as a place to regularly revisit. They also have Tesla destination chargers which is awesome to see.

We have been coming here for many years, and stopped passed today for some wine tasting.fantastic as always wine tasting room. The staff here are amazing and obviously very knowledgeable. We left with a case of Sav Blanc and Baton rouge.wonderful wines that I highly recommend.and a replacement red wine glass for the one (Out of our four set) that I broke whilst cleaning them a few months ago. Do yourself a favor, if you are down in the Yarra Valley, drop past for either wine tasting or lunch.highly recommended.

We had lunch at Oakridge for our 40th anniversary. It is visually beautiful but the food was terrible. There is too much confusion on the plate. The chef refused to cook our steak to our liking, and after the table was cleared they revealed the sauce for the meat was hidden behind the plant on our table. Thanks for that. The waitress was lovely but otherwise it was a big disappointment.

Beautiful wines, beautiful venue and a beautiful setting! What more do you want from a winery? The wine tasting bar is so perfectly situated in front of a full wall window, so can sit and enjoy the wines while watching the weather change over the hills. Will definitely be back for lunch one day!

The red cantilever beam element is an eye-catching statement for this winery. This is a beautifully designed by DCM. Apart from the architecture, good food, good wine and good services is my impression for my visit to Oakridge. It's good to have lunch with wine pairing except for the person who needs to drive.

I love the contemporary dishes paring with their wine. At the end of the meal, Botrytis Gris was served and it was a real surprise for all of us. And in the end, we bought a bottle of Botrytis Gris and have some more at home.

Great variety of red and white wines, with commendable depth and aroma. Sparkling wine is awesome!

The service was top-notch and respectable. The girl assisting us was lovely.

The wines are excellent and the tasting experience is superb due to the beautiful views and friendly, knowledgeable staff.

JN was a delightful host to our wine tasting! She’s quick and efficient but at the same time attentive (it was a busy Sunday afternoon). Had the Oakridge experience and had a taste of the other wine that I was curious with. Ended up buying the Late Harvest Pinot Gris + Botrytis Gris.

Will be coming back to dine in soon!

We came for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had to leave half way through the meal. We had the set menu and can only assume that the chef was off sick because the food was awful. All the starters were cold and stale and seemed to have been pre-prepared hours in advance and then the mains were a grey piece of trout and a pork chop that was 90% fat. Extremely disappointed. The wine was lovely.

In summary, worst cellar door tasting experience but excellent lunch. We had to wait a while just to be acknowledged at the cellar door, when we were seated the hostess complained about new maps, we could tell she didn’t want to be there at all, she used minimum words, gave us flat champagne and then made a sarcastic comment after we let her know, when a manger came down we could sense the tension and it was unpleasant. We had to ask for water and when we asked questions and she didn’t know couldn’t be bothered finding out. We didn’t even get a price list! This behaviour was not just directed at us as we saw her treat other customers the same. This is the only winery on our trip where neither couple purchased any wine at all.

Lunch on the other hand was a refreshing change, service was excellent, the food was fresh, packed with flavour and as the dishes came out were described perfectly and all our questions answered.

We visited on the weekend and Carrie doing the tastings was lovely. It's quite a big winery so was fairly busy but she was very accommodating. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that we didn't love the wine we tasted.

We signed up for the Chardonnay Masterclass. It was a great experience, elegant venue, unrushed allowing you to really consider the wines, uncrowded the day we were there. Highly recommended.

Carrie was absolutely wonderful! So knowledgeable and made our tasting an unforgettable experience. The setting is stunning and staff were fantastic.

Great food, great service, fantastic wines, nice scenery. Cannot rate highly enough!
Maybe bring a book or something to pass the time while you sober up enough to drive home.

The lady with the black hair was really rude and arrogant.
Would not recommend to visitors.

Service was amazing. Learnt a lot of things about wine and their differences. Great experience. Wine was also great and had different varieties.

Excellent customer service for cellar door tasting by Carrie. She deserves a pay rise. Very knowledgeable. A delight. Fantastic wines in a great location. Get out and go see a beautiful part of Australia and enjoy a wonderful winery experience
