Now & Then Cafe kew

Coffee was very bitter and the spiced chai was horrible. Waitress had horrible communication and missed half our order. Very disappointing and would never go back again.

I came here with my cousin on Monday and was very impressed with the decor (seemed Hamptons style to me), the friendly service and the foot was great. What really impressed me though, was when my vegan cousin said she would like a dish but without the non-vegan foods, the waiter was happy to replace with a lot of vegan food such as falafel and spinach. So many cafes and restaurants refuse to replace food that you ask to take out, so it was fantastic how accommodating they were for vegans. They even had a vegan cookbook for sale.

This a nice cafe in the Kew area & has heaps of indoor setting. They have a good selection of options in the window if you don’t want to order from the menu. They also have a burger menu.

I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon which was tasty & filling. I’ve also tried their sandwiches which are packed full of filling. Coffee is nice just not very hot.

It was my pleasure experience in the cafe. The food was amazing, service was quick and staff were so friendly. I would definitely love to visit it again.

We had great burgers here that were good value and tasty! The coffees were good too. Plenty of space so it was good for a business catch up. Absolutely freezing day and was quite chilly inside too. Could have used a heater on to warm up.

Loved it so much that we came back every morning to try something new! Heaps of veg and vegan options, and the coffee and pastries are amazing. Friendly team eager to chat and share but work quickly. They seem to be popular with the office workers nearby who popped in regularly (the staff knew many and greeted some by name). I wish this place were my neighborhood coffee place!

One of the best simple but tasty breakfasts I’ve had in Melbourne to date!
Small menu which I love. Less to choose from but also means they do them well!
Great portion size too so definitely go if you want somewhere to set you up for the day.
Also the home made hash brown is the stuff of DREAMS

The mocha is really sweet - Wouldn’t recommend. The lattes are good and brunch food is good and worth trying.

Great service and the food was not bad at all. The hot choc was a little too sweet for me but they redid it for me and were very kind about it.

Good choice of kitchen menu for a Cafe. Burger is popular. Mostly return customers. Food decor and standard are great.

Reveiws looked good and the place itself was nice but the food was just kind of bad, I don't think anyone was satisfied with what they got. Long service times and a decent chunk of the orders where wrong.

Popped in for brunch to find a new burger menu. Some may say pineapple doesn't go on pizza but it was a smash on my Hawaiian burger! My wife had the smashed avo (one of us had to be healthy!). Be warned, the hash brown is quite sizable and very tasty. We felt well looked after by the serving staff and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

New owners. Very slow service and not organised. The coffee took 25 minutes (after complaining) and the main was at the same time. Cannot reccomend.

I DO NOT recommend this cafe. The customer service is terrible. When I ask questions about my order they will not respond correctly and the food/order takes too long to prepare. Unfortunately this is the second time this happened and I am NOT satisfied with their service

Good menu to choose from, high chair provided upon request. Background music made it difficult to have a conversation with people. (6 in booking)
I had the N&T breakfast, was ok but drowned in hollandaise sauce.
Coffee order was very slow to arrive. Street parking but gets very busy after 10: 30 to find a close park.

Every meal I've had has been delicious. Great service, the only problem I have is getting a seat because it's so popular!

The best vanilla slice I have eaten in my life. Only found at Now and Then cafe. The staff are very helpful and pleasant on 17/8. I have become a regular at that cafe. My friend Christine loves the vanilla slice too. Decor at the cafe is so gorgeous. Light and breezy colours and beautiful paintings on the wall. Went again on 26/8 with 2 friends. The lovely staff who normally serve me were not working yesterday. Although the vanilla slice maintained its excellent quality the service on 26/8 was abysmal bordering on horrible. Firstly the woman who served me wanted immediate payment before they serve the cakes. That's ok by me but I want a receipt for proof of my payment. She took forever getting the receipt and even had to add my friend's payment on the receipt. That's shoddy as he paid by card and was not interested in obtaining a receipt. To make matters worse, she handed the 2 plates of cakes to my friend wanting him to carry them to the table from the counter. What sort of service is this? Never in my life have waitresses at cafes demand myself or other customers carry their plates of cakes to their table. Their job is to serve customers and carry the plates to the table. This is highly unacceptable. Despite the cakes being excellent and we being local, my friends and I won't be back due to the abysmal customer service we received on 26/8. Noticed lately that rude waitress hasn't worked at the cafe lately and there are no vanilla slices lately so upgraded rating
