Nhu Lan Bakery reviews
65 The food is nice but kind of expensive now.
When the first time I start visit this shop the price was dollars.
Now it's 7.5 which I don't come here offen like used to.
$8 bahn mi that’s fresh tasting and consistently yummy each time you go.cant go wrong, i get it every morning i go to uni without fail! And sometimes go back in the afternoon
Popular for a reason. Sometimes I go elsewhere because I can't be bothered lining up but I always regret it.
Absolutely fresh and delicious filled rolls. My favorite is the bbq pork rolls with extra coriander. Love, love it!
Great banh mi from this local bakery. A range of fillings from chicken, tofu, ham, BBQ pork, crackling roast pork, and shredded pork. The heart of a good banh mi is all about the bread - and this places makes the best in town. There's the option to buy and take fresh bread home (tiger rolls, baguettes etc) if you're after something soft and fluffy in the inside and nice crisp on the outside. Depending on the time of the day you may have to wait in line - which can be up to 30 mins during peak periods. They even have dessert sorted with mungbean cake, durian and other sweets that you can indulge in.
Its a go to place for Banh Mi in Footscray. Ordering system is chaotic but its a part of it. Play the game and you'll get your Banh Mi. Once you do get one, it is always tasty. The bread is always crusty. I also liked fillings in the banh mi as well. You can also buy other foods in the store such as Vietnamese desserts, snacks, and many others you will see once in there.
Supposedly has the best banh mi in Melbourne… As a visitor I wouldn’t know… BUT I can say that their banh mi are pretty damn good, with a great selection of fillings. I got one roast pork, and one bbq pork to share.
The best Vietnamese bread rolls! I've been to this place ever since i was young & up until now as an adult. I still love coming there, ordering my usual & the food is just tasty! I highly recommend everyone to eat here!
BBQ pork Bahn mi was delicious! The meat is lean & not too fatty compared to other places, which made it even more enjoyable to eat.
Very good sandwiches and bahns. Very popular, around lunchtime there is line of people waiting to get in.
The worst service ever!
Went there today to buy banh mi during lunch time at 12pm. I had to line up in a long queue for 15 minutes. Fair enough it was lunch time.
When I got inside, i was standing right in front of the sandwich bar, waiting to order banh mi. Staffs ignored my presence and refused to take my order. Instead they served 3 other people who was standing behind me. So after extra 15 minutes inside I could not make my order. So 30 minutes plus of my lunch time was wasted by these people.
While waiting there, I also noticed that they treated another old lady the same untill she yelt at them.
What a terrible service from unattentive staffs from Nhu Lan Bakery.
I went to To's band mi and received and quicker and nice service even though I had to line up again!
The long-standing Banh Mi institution in Melbourne. Some of the best this side of the Mekong Delta
Consider this as a best cheap eats place in Footscray and this place get seriously busy with queue outside after 10 in the morning.
BRO THE FOOD IS ACTUALLY BOMB, YOU VIETS ACTUALS PUT CRACK IN IT, IT'S SO DAMN ADDICTING, AND THE SESAME BALLS OH MY GOD IT'S SO GOOD
Nhu lan is arguably the best banh mi in Melbourne, definitely #1 in footscray. I've been here 100+ times and recommended it too many others. Long live nhu lan bakery
Been good as far as I remember. However, they've been a hit or miss in recent years. Doesn't help when the owner abuse the workers
Super busy store, we arrived around 10: 30 in the morning and there already lines up at the store. Ordered a bbq pork banh, the sauce is quite savoury and pork is tender.
Try to arrive early as there are always lot of customers lining up
Had the Tofu and barbeque pork rolls this afternoon.very disappointed. They were dry and hardly any salad and felt like we were eating a dry bread roll with minimal meat and tofu thrown in. Made without any love. Price gone up by. 50 cent.times are tough, fair enough but this does mean you subtract items from the product.realised no pate and very limited salad. Not coming back again based on today, will try the bakery around the corner next time.
Bun mi is good but unfortunately spotted a bun mi lady sneezing into the work bench without putting her mask on. (she has a mask under her chain).
