Nando's Carrum Downs

Very poor and rude service. Ordered takeout. Waited over 45 mins. Apparently my meal was ready but we were not advised or called out, although we were at the counter. The staff just ignored us. When queried about the delay, one staff member just picked up the bag of food and handed to us. When I asked why we were not advised earlier, (now food was cold), a staff member (Keira) simply said that she had called out for us and that was not her problem. Firstly, a blatant lie, and secondly why work there when you don't take responsibility for your poor service.

Avoid Nandos Carrum at any cost, you have been warned, this place is absolutely a waste of money, order whole chicken with large side and also ordered half chicken, food was not fresh, they served REHEATED burnt chicken which was sitting with them, gave feedback in the store and they knew what they served us hence their chins were down.
Avoid this nasty place, doesn't worth the time and money.

I was totally regretting going to this place, awful! Tables were sticky and not cleaned ever.
There were moths and flys flying.
Wasn’t expecting nandoos to be like this ever.

What the hell is the deal about not accepting cash? What world do we live in where you walk into a restaurant and are unable to pay your meal just because you don't have card? The app is hard to navigate, (if it even works at all). But the food is good, and the staff were nice, so 2 starts. Could use a lot of improvement though.

From the service received to the food served it was very poor. I can ignore the service but what was served was under cooked chicken and cold. The chips were overly cooked. I am never going there again. I tried them twice in 1 month and both times the food served was pathetic. Below the Nandos standards.

Got take away, but the chips weren't hot, which was disappointing, especially as I had waited in the shop for them. The ribs were good but could have had more sauce and been warmer.

No menu display had to wait while they grabbed one and then to be told they don't except cash"" really pathetic I thought

The other night, my friend and I went to nandos for a nice dinner.little did we know we were in for an experience of our lives. Not only did nandos staff not clean the tables at the resteraunt but when food had arrived after a long waited 25 minutes, they failed to serve cutlery with our half chicken and paella. This forced us to stand up and go look for cutlery, only to find there was a shortage of forks; yes, a shortage of forks in a resteraunt! Furthermore, the rice was so bland my taste buds were drying out and the after effects of all the food is another whole story. We went home thinking it would be a nice night, little did we know, a night full of stomach pains were waiting for us. That morning after, waking up, the both of us coninuously sneezing, what an experience this was. Frankston nandos forever ON TOP.

No complaints about food. Great burgers, paella rice, and roast chicken served. They were delicious.

The atmosphere and seating were just OK.

Service - I gave it a single star because the table was not clean, no cutlery at all. Only forks were available - most were stained with scum.

When asked for spoon, hubby was given a few that were stained with leftover food. Who would use them in their right mind. Ended up washing cutlery ourselves in the hand-wash area. This definitely put us off from visiting this joint again. Hope management looks more into cleanliness and improving service.

Recommend takeaways as food was good.

Placed an order and snuck a chip on the drive home. Stone cold, chicken very dry and very poor drab service. Definitely dissapointing and way over priced.

Never going back, took my order then when I went to pay with cash was told they don’t accept cash. Good way to lose business.

I love the taste of the chicken but let down by the ridiculously tiny portion sizes that have gotten progressively smaller over the years. It isn’t cheap either. Such a rip off!

@nandosaus the worst ever chicken take away from Carrum Downs Nandos. I ate Nandos after a long time today & I cannot believe how worse it has gone. The girl cooking grilled the chicken & did not put any basting but put the chicken in the take away box & brushed the chicken with basting on top. The last I remember when I used to eat Nandos the basting was done when chicken was getting grilled. My box of extra hot chicken is overflowing with watery sauce no flavour & how is she suppose to baste the sauce on the bottom while in the box. The grande paella has uncooked capsicum, onion & tomato. Absolutely no flavour & wors food ever.

Food is okay, but wait time is TERRIBLE and customer service is poor. Order pick-up time ETA was 1646. I arrived and stated my name and was told my order would be called out when it was ready. Did not check names of the orders that were sitting on the bench. Fast forward over 20mins and one of the staff checked the orders that were on the bench and sure enough, there was mine. TERRIBLE. Restaurant was even busy at the time.

The worst Nandos experience we’ve ever had! Had our meals as dine in. The food came out almost an hour later, cold and dry chicken. The staff cleaning the tables were slamming all the plates almost like she wanted the plates to break. Rubbish behind the counter were full and paper bag on the floor they were just kicking it everywhere instead of picking it up. Maybe stay away until they get themselves sorted!

Worst nansos ever I had to say something to get my cold burger of the serving table cos they made take away priority and the manger thinks she's allowed to tell costumers that dine in if your not happy come cook

Bad experience. They took 20 minutes to make a burger and chips. They didn’t even start cooking until half way through waiting and they asked what I was waiting for. The burger I got was on a “soft bun” but it was stale, cold, hard and dry, the chicken was dry too. Would not go there again!

A very nice place to chill with your friends, recommended by my boyfriend Shanish Nand. Number 1 on my list, I will visit this place more often.
- The chips are great, especially with the peri salt
-Nice and cool people in the community and they are so easy going and kind aswell?
-Bad thing is that the chicken smells so good that it makes me want to eat it more and my mouth is watering

Recommended, come check out the place sometimes you know.

Hopeless restaurant even tho I love nandos
Ordered a paella meal and only the paella turned up no chips no drink, ordered again this time and it took over 2 hours to arrive and was cold. Get it together guys

No worse nandos than Carrum downs do not order online with them I waited 1 hour 20 mins for an order only to have it cancelled 2 minutes before the store actually closed I’ve called 16 times no answer no customer care no excuse just took my money made me wait 1 20 minutes and then cancel the order with no other options available!
Absolutely appalling I will never order from that store again don’t waist your time
