Mrs Kim's Grill reviews
88Did they change the owner? Came back first time after the COVID, feel many things changed, most of Asian Korean staffs are gone, and new ones don’t understand the food much, they used to serve lettuce with the bbq but not any more. And they didn’t change the bbq plate anymore or come to check on your meals.
No customer service and food is not fresh especially beef and pork.
They dont provide any service, just tell u use ipad to order food then disappear.
I can see they hire lots of people working in side buy delivering food time too long.
Diarrhea next day when eating there.
30 bucks all you can eat. We left extremely satisfied. Highly recommend. And the waitress was very nice. Even gave us a Korean ice cream which "blew our minds".
Recently dined in after restrictions lifted. A bit disappointed that it wasn’t stated on the website when booking that staff no longer cook the meat for us, we only found out when the staff members didn’t come back after turning on our gas burner. Our waiter also forgot to bring out some side dishes included as part of the set, we had to ask for them.
Also, please wipe down the tablets on the tables used for ordering after each customer, ours was super sticky and dirty and had food stains on it.
Prior to covid I used to enjoy coming to this place as I felt the price point was well worth the quality of meat and the flavours. Now I'm not too sure I would return. The meat had no seasoning what so ever and was very chewy.
Ordered fried chicken and kimchi pork stew and was very average with small portions, costed me about 31 dollars. Barely could feed two people with it
Absolute hidden gem! Best Korean BBQ I’ve had! The wait can sometimes be a little long as they are very popular but it’ll be worth it!
This is one of the most popular Korean BBQ restaurant in Carnegie.
Today I ordered chilli chicken box as takeaway and I must say it was it was delicious. So much for just $16! Along with chicken there was a box of salad that also had some fried chicken and fries corn fritters and a box of rice. So good! Definitely coming back. You will not be disappointed, do try!
Been wanting to visit Mrs Kim's Grill for a very long time but had not made it till today, with the lockdown in place they had only take aways. I prefer chicken and there was just one dish available, Chilli Chicken (takeaway). Boy did we all love it! The portions were good and the flavours were exceptional. They served it With Chilli Chicken with rice, Salad, Kimchi, Corn fritters, Korean fried chicken and a drink all this for 16$. This place has always been busy with patrons queuing even outside most times. Support Local Restaurants
I've been coming here for years since they first opened in Carnegie however coming back today I can see the drastic change in quality and service.
Save your time and money and go else where for kbbq!
Pros: location
Cons: service was terrible. We were seated upstairs where there was one waitress working. She spent more time on her phone than assisting her customers. Even when you used the tablet to call for a waiter she did not respond. Meat was also average and the scissors provided could not cut through the tough meat.
Sad to see this business lose its charm.
Decent meal, a little bit pricey but the all you can eat options are great if you can come during those times
Food is ok. Had to ask four people on four occasions over 40 minutes to get half of the accompaniments to our meal and most of our sides which came out after we'd finished our meal. They barely cleared empty dishes that just sat on the table in the way. For better service, find nearly anywhere else.
Found this gem based on friend’s recommendation. Ordered the all you can eat menu and was pretty pleased with the taste. I really love the customer service here as the waiter who served us was very cheerful and friendly.
WON'T BE COMING BACK.
Thought this place specialised in Korean BBQ, so came to try for lunch with family. Food just average, paid $43 for 200g of Wagyu beef but it's the palest piece of meat I have ever seen, Costco has better Wagyu beef. The service was lacking, our family was one of the 2 tables in the restaurant at the time, we were seated at the table that was set for 3 and there were 5 adults, 10 minutes after our food arrived, we had to remind the waitress we needed more bowls and chopsticks. I get that it's a fairly laid back eatery where you do your own ordering but come on that's just simple maths and common sense.
Service is nice, good food, quick service (unless there's a lot of customers, then I'm that case you may have to check up once to ask them about food). Meat is not amazingly good, but it's still decent. Otherwise, it's good, the girl was really nice.
(There were kids screaming non stop at the top of their lungs and running around which ruined the experience a bit)
Their service is good. Our food came really fast and the waiter actually told us what seasoning is for which dishes. They taught us the correct way to bbq particular meat.
Lovely staff.great Korean food.authentic and fresh sauces.
No pictures as every time too busy eating!
Good food, quality meat. Side dishes now in pots and only comes in two, not very generous for a Korean restaurant. The ambience is trendy. The restaurant overall need a proper cleaning as tar stains everywhere and the tables are quite sticky
Really nice service all waiter and waitresses kind and try to help me. All the foods fantastic. Will highly recommend for dinner. Moo set was a reasonable price.
My first taste of Mrs Kim’s Grill was in Richmond a couple of years back. It was amazingly satisfying. This second visit is as good. Tasty soft pork and chicken meat.
