Very disappointing
Ordered chicken focaccia with avocado pesto and sun-dried tomatoes.
Did not eat. Avocado was hard and tasted awful.
Told waitress- response" very sorry"
Other meal asked for one slice of toast to go with it- was charged $5 extra

Great food, great venue. But clearly lacking staff when we visited and therefore service was mediocre.

I would normally recommend Montana's, but today NO!
We placed a simple order for a heated foccia, and a juice. After a long while waiting I asked is our lunch was ready, then again a while later. Only to wait again, and then be told so sorry the girl forgot to place your order. I totally understand human error, but the make it a priority to fix the error. Ended up leaving very hungry.

Been here twice this year - nice looking place, big selection of cakes. BUT, a "pot" of tea isn't a tea bag in a pot of hot water. I recommend some decent black tea leaves. Also, scrambled eggs the first visit were swimming in grease or butter, or something else equally as unappetising. Lastly, toast the bread instead of waving it over the toaster.

Had to wait for 25minutes for some one to take my order. They only took my order when I approached them, even then the girl wasn’t ready. We were sitting outside and waited so long as the girl first said she will come and clean the table and bring the menus, but she forgot! We ultimately decided to go inside to order from the menu. Then after some time a guy came and asked for vaccination proof, even after I checked in with valid certificate! He wasn’t asking anyone else, jst asked us! The food was also not good, kids brekki was good but the chicken faccocia was really pathetic and there was a smell coming in. Better think twice before deciding to sit outside and eat here

Coffee and pastry was good, but price is on higher side, atleast seems to me. Paid $5 for small coffee as an example

Coffee here is great and the staff are amazing! But I ordered the wrong item, there were a lot displayed in the open £ it was a fan type of biscuit item, I'm afraid was a bit stale, dry and hard, so for that only 3 stars.

The cakes here are awesome. Service is a bit slow but probably because it's busy. Will be coming back for lunch at some stage as the stuff in the deli window looked really good.

Montanos is our favourite cafe. Great food, great coffee, great service. Delivery service available while in lockdown. Happy to support this great local business.

Awesome service, especially during lockdown. Great food anytime. The Turkish egg and bacon are my favourite for brekky on the way to work.

My husband and I ordered the Spartan platter for a Saturday night in, which arrived warm and smelling devine! Every item on the platter was incredible; the chips were the best we've had for a long time and we especially loved the rolled pork. Highly recommend!

Delivery was earlier than expected and super friendly too!

We then scoffed down a few donuts and some baklava; this place has become our new local fav! Thanks team, we look forward to working through your entire menu!

Great variety of cakes one of the best coffee addiction places I've been to and a hugh range of food but need to have something for senior's on the menu as they don't eat big meals

Went for a walk with a friend yesterday and decided to grab something to eat and drink.

Montano’s was the only thing open along the strip of shops. It was very busy but we were happy to wait. We both ordered a ham and cheese croissant, my friend had a hot chocolate and I had a latte.

Both the croissants were over cooked and a tad burnt, the milk in my latte was overheated and same with the hot chocolate.

I understand the staff were under pressure because there were at least 15 people waiting for food and coffees but the prices aren’t reasonable enough to match the quality of the things we purchased. We waited almost 20 minutes for our stuff, which again, we would of had no issue with if it was worth it. Pretty disappointing seeing going out is rare during lockdown and it felt like a bit of a waste.

Montano's is a Bayswater institution, known for its biscuits, coffee, and relaxed atmosphere. The menu is extensive, and every dish is hearty - you can't go wrong, just prepare to be full.

Note that the cafe is absolutely pumping during peak times, but the friendly staff will look after you.

Terrible service. One waitress letting the place down. Basically stood at the corner of the table and placed all the plates in my corner and walked off! Sure I'll hand them out. Then again served me when I went to buy a few cakes for my daughter, using the same dirty gloves she was using to handle the till proceeded to place the small cakes on the counter and then placed them into a box or should I say roughly placed them in the box. Uttered is that all you want.
As an infection control auditor and food safety supervisor, took all my self control to not school her on manners and proper glove use.
Never again!

I give one star because there is no zero star, our food never arrived and notify them and receive no apologies. Bad coffee.

Bought 2 coffees, one was a latte which was essentially hot milk, second was a long black which tasted like coffee machine run off. First impressions last.

Great coffee, food, and desserts. This place never fails to amaze me with the quality of the desserts they offer. My friends are always shocked something so good is hidden away in Bayswater. The coffee is always great and add a jam donut to that and wow. My friends have on more than once occasion said the donut was the best they have EVERY HAD. Bit statement but when its said more than once.

They do sit in service with some tables outside also, as well as a great online ordering system. During lockdowns it was the perfect thing to send family for special days, or pick up.

I would recommend this cafe over any other in Bayswater!
