Montano's Patisserie Cafe

Foods decent but the service and waiters are terrible. Acting like it’s a huge hassle because they’re under staffed. Very arrogant and need to tune there manors.

I had a simple but delicious egg/bacon focaccia roll with a chocolate milkshake. The milkshake was thick and the chocolate was like choc topping which I love. The service was quick even though there was three of us. It was constantly busy with people getting coffee but everyone is friendly and it has a great atmosphere. The prices were average. They have great desserts.

We celebrated a work colleague's birthday here, all eight of us enjoyed our meals which arrived quickly despite being quite busy. We had to book for a Thursday lunch. I have been here before a while ago and I'm glad I came back.

They have the nicest rye bread I've ever had. The desserts look amazing, everything is made on-site.

The staff was rude and used hand to pick up dessert. Not good hygiene. The coffee is nice though.

Quality cakes a plenty. Made fresh on site. There’s only a few businesses I would travel long distance for to make my purchase.
This is indeed one of them.
I bought Italian pastries to take home, but you can eat in and take advantage of the extensive menu.

Took my inlaws for lunch. We ordered tea, hot water, coffee and food. Did not get 1 of the of the drinks, asked twice, told it was coming.but it did not come. Then just 1 meal come out. 20mins later the other meals come out.

What a shame an unpleasant blonde male server couldn't be nice. My friend and I came with our 5 yr olds. We came in via the car park to the new outside area. We politely asked if we could sit at a table. It was only 1/4 full. We were shocked that the unpleasant blonde male chastised us for not walking all the way to the front door to announce that we were here and wanted to sit outside in the back. Seriously!
We've been here several times before and the food is always good and the service has always been good. In fact, they make one of the best vanilla slices we've had.
The coffee is normally good but was rubbish this time. New barista? Watery and very weak. Neither of us finished our cups which never happens.
Not sure if we'll be back. There's a lot of other cafes that treat their customers with a lot more kindness than we received.

In response to cafe response.my experience was about 3 weeks ago. What's your point? Not everyone writes a review the moment the incident happens.
I'd be more concerned about how your customers are being treated and the terrible coffee than when they are writing their review. Pathetic. Definately won't be wasting any money here again

A friend I went to Montanos yesterday for coffee. The shop was very busy with customers. We ordered coffee and waited half an hour for it. I would not mind waiting if I was alerted to the fact that it was a long wait, as it would have been our decision whether to wait or not, but we were not told anything. Unfortunately next time we will probably go somewhere else.

Really impressive! The food is amazing, the bread divine and fresh and the multitude of desserts are to die for! A large selection, all created on the premises (I believe) with mostly a Greek influence.
Such a pleasure, will most definitely return soon!

I reserved a table for a Saturday morning. We’ve requested to sit in the inner area of the café but was given a table near the front. When we’ve requested to sit further in, they’ve given us an option to stay on that table or outside on a cold rainy morning. Which to be honest was insulting.
We had a few friends, so we sat down anyways. What upset us even more, was that there were hardly enough customers to fill half the café even by the time we left. There should be no reasons for us to not sit further in.
Generally speaking, the attitude was unfriendly, and we felt unwelcomed during the whole experience from seating to payment. It’s a shame, as the food and the pastry were great, but there are many alternate options and we do not need to be treated this way. Have no intention to go there again.

I enjoyed every aspect of randomly finding this place. Good staff. Good food. Good coffee. Good desserts. Good atmosphere. Would go everyday if I could!

Good coffee, great selection of pastries and cakes.service is friendly and efficient. Plenty of room indoor and out for a catchup or more formal dining.

The male barista had an ordinary attitude and needs to be more welcoming. I was greeted with a sense of snobbery and was told to stop and wait as I was to "be seated", the place was empty, i don't understand. In addition, why do you bunch us all up in the one area leaving the rest of the place empty. This is uncomfortable as there are private and confidential conversations to be had and Id rather not want anyone loosely listening in.

Just remember, treat your customers like stars and they will keep coming back. Act like snobs and you'll be fighting a battle.

Went in for some takeaway and my almond croissant was flat with little flavour, and the crumble tasted like it was old. Good selection on other items though.

A huge array of tasty cakes & pastries, with delicious meals for dining & a quick takeaway. Good customer service.

Decent choice for a brunch location in the area. Nicely plated food, and the seats in the courtyard have a nice atmosphere (make sure you walk all the way in to the back).

The service is quite slow though, and as some other reviews have mentioned, the male barista out the back doesn’t have the best attitude or make the best coffee.

Overall this place is one of the better ones in the area, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up too much.

Nice layout and friendly staff. Food was great. The zucchini fritters appeared to be salty, sadly we could not finish it. Overall, the experience was great.

Great coffee, great cakes, great savoury food. Staff are all friendly and service is top notch.

Love Montano's. So much variety. Hard to choose which cake to have for a lunch with friends. Great lunch menu for eating in as well. Have been several times with friends/family.
