Monards 101

Came in on Easter Sunday and received exceptional service from Mimi who was warm, meticulous and extremely helpful throughout my experience purchasing a Tag watch. Am keen to visit again soon!

Melisas assisted me in finding my perfect watch: Zenith Defy Midnight model. When she presented me with the Zenith watch, I knew it was the one. Because my wrist is petite, she made sure Zenith would be able to customise the straps to my wrist. She was also able to answer all my questions and help my hubby find what he was after as well. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, professional and very fast at responding my text messages even though it was late in the evening. The Team at Monards Collins are probably one of the best people you can deal with when it comes to watches! Always feel welcomed when i walk in to the shop without having that weird feeling of people staring at me. All smiles and would definately go back to get more watches.

Very poor product knowledge, I asked for a porker edition of Hublot but staff knows nothing about it!

Zero Star Rating

I took my Omega watch to Monards for a new battery. When they said it had to go to the jeweller off site I should have walked out. I left my watch and when it was finally returned 3 days later, it had beads of moisture on the inside of the face. The staff at Monards including the manager denied any responsibility and claimed my watch had moisture in it when I left it. I took the watch to Swatch Group in Malvern who cleaned the watch and fitted the correct battery – they threw out the cheap battery put in by the Monards jeweller. It cost me less at Swatch to have the new battery and clean than a battery stuff up at Monards!

Do not shop here and certainly do not leave watches for servicing. There jewellers are amateurs and crooks. The staff are only interested in selling product and I don’t think they have a clue about what they are selling or servicing.

It is just a flashy shop in Collins Street that sells overpriced watches to the cashed up overseas visitors.

I bought my first Omega from Monards. The service I received from them was outstanding. From when they first greeted me at the door, to when I purchased the watch, they looked after me very well. I would definitely recommend people to come here.

Had my TAG repaired at very reasonable cost compared to TAG shop. When it stopped working just out of warranty period, but owner fixed it out of good faith. That's not good service, that's great service. I have recommended this place to my friends.
