Mon Ami Paris Grill reviews
46 My workplace had our Christmas Dinner. As a group of 13, we had Mon Ami to ourselves. Ulla was fantastic to work with planning our dinner. Atmosphere was just perfect, we started with sparkling wine and canapes in the courtyard before moving inside for dinner. The food was sublime, the duck was just perfect.
Definitely one to come back for
I find it hard to describe how much I love this place. Spectacular food, great wines, excellent service and an unrivalled ambience. Going on the most important dinner date of your life? Take them here.
Mon Ami is a cute spot serving delicious, unpretentious meals. Service is warm and welcoming, we hope to come back soon.
The duck is gorgeous but the apple tart was heavenly. Fluffy and light, crunchy and the best lockdown dessert so far. Thanks Ulla and John!
Food was amazingly delicious. Great service and wines! Great price. Can't wait to go back again.
When I went there for dinner I got made to feel completely embarrassed and attacked. I was talking to my friends and the waiter came over to take our order and I didn’t realise. I was in a conversation with my friends and said the f word once and the waiter tapped me on the shoulder and said “no swearing in here. ” It was both humiliating and an absolute joke. My friends were also so incredibly shocked. I am so disappointed in this absolute joke of service and singling out of me in the restaurant. We are all adults. We all swear. No need to tap me on the shoulder and tell me off as if you’re my mother. To add onto this, everyone at my table frequently swore and I could hear others at the other tables swear too. Yet I seemed to be the only person who was singled out. Everyone accidentally lets a swear word slip from time to time. When you’re going out for dinner for a relaxing fun night, you should feel free to relax and to be yourself. Not singled out, humiliated and on edge. Food was nice, but the wine glasses were just cheap ones and the table was covered in a sheet of paper. For the price, I think there are many better French restaurants in Melbourne.
Was taking a leisurely walk and stumbled upon this nice French bistro tucked into the corner of a quiet neighbourhood. Didn't get to try their food, but the martini was spectacular. The lady was also really nice and attentive, and the food I saw the other patrons have looked mouthwateringly seductive. I will definitely be back to try out the food
10 stars. If you love great French food with a genuine small French restaurant feel you could not do any better in Australia.
A humble small restaurant, we have finally found a quiet place where we can have our dinner and talk to one another without have to speak loudly. A charming atmosphere, great service, excellent food and great 100 wines to choose from the wall too
Absolutely authentic classic French atmosphere and cuisine. So intimate with outstanding food and service. The wine wall was a real treat. Highly recommended and will definitely be back. Wish I could have tried dessert but was completely content after the superb cheese offered.
It was a real French experience, which included beautiful fish as a starter, lovely piece of duck as a main (the gravy of the Lyon is unbelievable) and some nice cheeses to finish with. The waitress was so patient and kind, and helped us really well with finding us the perfect wine (the French Pinor Noir is a must order in my opinion)
Delicious and delightful — this is the place for a perfectly authentic French experience in the heart of Melbourne. The atmosphere is beyond charming; the food wonderful and delicate. Likely to be the best duck I’ve ever eaten. Yum!
Incredible food, beautiful atmosphere. Intimate restaurant with great hospitality and the food (especially duck) is to die for.
Highly recommend for your next special occasion.
Fantastic and brilliant food, fantastic host. We had a brilliant time and most enjoyable company. I would definitely come back again.
It's a nice small restaurant that brings amazing dishes. Loved the atmosphere and the service. Food was delicious and we had a lovely dinner experience.
Wonderful little French restaurant. Very intimate and warm. Every dish was impeccable. Best duck dish I ever had.
This is a very intimate special occasion restaurant. Food here, (their speciality is duck, done many ways), is always exquisite and the service extremely polite and patient. The waitress is always willing to help you choose that perfect complement to your meal from their wine wall.
I've never had a bad experience here and I've been coming here for at least 8 years. The bad reviewers on this restaurant are either trolling or very, very unlucky! Me thinks the former!
Very nice restaurant. Would have been a 5 but for a several minute gap after the main course was served waiting for the veg to arrive. Mistakes happen.
Amazing vibe sitting in the afternoon sun here drinking an espresso and glass of tasty Beaujolais. The owner is super friendly, will definitely be back to try the food
I had my birthday dinner with my boyfriend tonight here and it was a very pleasant experience. We've been to some other French restaurant, but Mon Ami is certainly the best one when it comes to the environment, service and food overall. The food selection was limited but so delicious. We loved all the food we ordered. Thank you Mon Ami! This was so far the best birthday dinner for me thanks to you!
