Mon Ami Paris Grill

Very cute little restaurant. Started with a drink out in the sun, before moving in to a lovely dinner & drinks. You can order wine by the glass, or there's a wall with bottles you can pick out. Lovely little spot, cute decor, amazing food. Well worth the visit, we will definitely be returning.

Tried the beef tartare, foie gras, two types of confit duck, bread with truffle butter & finished with chocolate sabayon. Have heard great things but was still amazed with how delicious every bite was. Service was attentive, and we didn't feel rushed which is such a refreshing change. Looking forward to coming back here!

Small intimate restaurants that do great food with fantastic service in lovely surroundings are hard to come by in Melbourne these days. But Mon Ami ticks all these boxes. Came for a special occasion and this place was perfect. Thank you. We will be back.

Charming little restaurant with attentive service. Unfortunately the main duck dishes were bland and lacked flavour. A little dry. Just not exciting.

The entree tartare was great though.

A delightful, intimate bistro with great French food and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We had duck followed by the cheese. Both excellent but the duck was really outstanding both with the pepper sauce and with pears. Two great options. The wine menu is also very impressive; great choices without breaking the bank. Highly recommend as this is a welcoming restaurant with excellent food/wine without formality.

Really cute little restaurant with beautiful food. The beef tartare and Lyon duck confit were beautiful. Staff fantastic. Brilliant location looking into Carlton Gardens. Will be making it a regular.

A charming dining experience with delicious food and lovely atmosphere. Not a huge menu but everything we ordered was lovely and we comfortably settled in for several hours.

We dined at Mon Ami after meeting to owners at a lunch in another venue. When we discovered they had their own restaurant we were keen to try it out. Four of us went for dinner and we loved it. The venue itself while small with 16 seats (I think) is tastefully presented and perfect for a special occasion or just because you want to do something nice. The food and beverage is centre stage and didn't disappoint with a good range of quality choices. We especially enjoyed trying some different French wines. Definitely worth a visit.

This is a really sweet intimate restaurant that seats about 15 people with a husband and wife team who were both inviting and friendly. The twice cooked souffle was delicious as was the tartare. The duck leg with cherries was and absolute standout and can not be recommended enough, amazing! Our other main the duck breast however, the fat wasn't rendered which was disappointing. The Brulee was a winner too and the small selection of cheese with the confit grapes fantastic. I love that a restaurant like this still exists. We will be going back.

We have been coming to this absolutely gorgeous restaurant since it first opened in 2003. Every meal here has been top class, along with the friendly service and cosy ambiance. It is a tiny slice of wonderfulness. It is Paris in Fitzroy; just so beautiful and the food is so delicious.

Fantastic dining experience. Food was sensational. Service was exceptional. The wine selection was fabulous. A very intimate dining experience. My partner and I could not fault it!

Awful. Expensive. We had escargot, they were canned! Served on oily chewy toast. The crepes tasted pre-cooked by a couple of days. Disappointing. Menu has since changed. Would never go back. The passive aggressive responses from the owner should be evidence enough of a need to avoid.
