I'm visiting the Practice for 5 years now running 6. My always go to GP's (Dr. Geoff Feben, Dr. Anita Elias, Dr. Rekha Kumar) and other GP's am not so familiar of are professional in dealing with me and my illnesses and explains to me very well on how I should go about it, what I need to do, their recommendations including the medication I have to take. They listened to my personal issues as well and assisted me with referrals. They spend time with me to make me understand my health condition encouraging me to ask questions or if there's anything I need to clarify. They treated me well with dignity and respect so I'm comfortable going there. There's also a nurse onsite so its more convenient and time saving. Staff are nice so I can book easily over phone. So big THANK YOU to Modern Medical Dandy Team!

Dr. Anita Elias is my GP.
She is an extremely rare Doctor to find these days. Caring, compassionate, thorough and very competent. Takes pains to explain to patient their medical condition as well as explore things they can do to rectify the situation. So unlike typical GPs who are just money minded and want to get as many clients as they can without taking the effort to explain things. She is a great credit to modern medical Dandenong, and brings great reputation to your set up. I hope all the other doctors there follow her marvelous example of what true medical care and service should be.

Bad customer service. I tried to make an appointment as new patient but wasn't allowed due to having flu symptoms and was advised to go to my original GP which is in Europe. Appointment manager didn't try to help me just insisted on going to my own GP although I don't have any in Australia yet.

Prev known as Dandenong Medical Centre, my family has been coming here for the better part of 14 years, but it looks like we'll have to find somewhere else to go now.

The medical care they provided was always fairly reasonable, depending on which doctor you saw, but has gone downhill recently, to the point where I can no longer positively recommend them at all.

Despite a previous appointment where I was told to either see a surgeon or smash my wrist ganglion away with a Bible at home (no, I'm not kidding), I decided to make two back-to-back appointments (3 weeks in advance, mind you) to see one of the more experienced doctors at the clinic. I required an appointment for myself, as did my 14 year old daughter.

After being asked to wait for an hour by reception as the doctor was running late due to a computer issue he'd had that morning (which is a fair enough reason in my books), he finally came out to see us, only to tell us that he wouldn't be able to see us today, because firstly the clinic was about to close, and he only dealt with emergencies on Saturdays. That was news to me. Despite not even asking me what my medical concern was, he seems to have classed me as a 'not important non emergency' - just by the colour of my shoes, I guess? I thought hospitals were for emergencies?

I explained to him that not only had we made a booking 3 weeks in advance, but we'd come here specifically on the Saturday because I worked during the week, and my daughter goes to school, to which he answered, "we all have our commitments". I admire his commitment to making sure he went home on time that day.

His spiel about how he was not going to see us today, despite us waiting for an hour and making a booking 3 weeks prior, went on for the better part of 20 minutes (yes, really), during which time I interrupted him twice to let him know that he could have in fact consulted not just me, but my daughter by now as well. The doctor graciously let us know during his 20 minute spiel that there was another medical clinic down to road that we could go to instead (uhh.thanks?). Alas, I was unable to reason with the very busy doctor overwhelmed with his IT issues that day, despite my honed negotiating skills. After his ramble was over, he left us sitting there on the couch, and went off to consult a different patient instead, that had arrived a good half hour after us.

Needless to say perhaps, neither of us were seen by a doctor that day. The receptionist did ask us on our way out if we wanted to make another appointment to see a doctor on Monday instead, but I declined the thoughtful gesture. In fact, I believe my exact words were, "Absolutely not".

Despite all of the above, if you do decide to visit this clinic for whatever reason you might have, play it safe and don't wear beige sneakers - there's a possibility they may trigger some of the doctors into not seeing you.

Made an appointment. Turned up. Found it was closed until further notice. No courtesy call to let you know what’s going on.

Absolutely useless and unwilling to help. 30 minute wait for a 30 second appointment. The moment I said "sore throat" Doctor had zero interest in helping and couldn't get me out the door fast enough. (Despite having a negative covid test with proof from yesterday). Without any tests or checking just said "probably viral", come back in a week.

Completely unhelpful and incredibly poor attitude.

I will never come to this clinic ever again. Brought my daughter here because she was ill for more than a week. Doctor did not even bother to check her. She just told her to go to a hospital. She didn't even bother getting up from her seat. How is this doctor still a doctor? !?

Poorly managed practice with no respect for patients. Avoid dissapointment and seek professional treatment elsewhere.

My go to place. Reading some of the reviews I am little shocked over some of them. Been coming to this place for years. The wait time can be long if in the afternoon but which place isn’t? So I tend to go in the morning. Dr Anita is my preferred doc and she had been nothing but great to me. She is very gentle and unassuming. Very easy to talk to. I have always wanted doctors to be less cold and clinical. And that’s why I tend to only see her. Been to the other docs here no issues with them. It’s a good lot here.

Waited 45 minutes to see Dr Anita Elias, when we asked the reception staff if it would be much longer we were sent straight in. She said "this needs to be quick, I've been here 45 minutes later than I'm meant to be" when we also had been there that long. I didn't discuss all my concerns as I felt she wouldn't listen or care. Very upset with her rude demeanour.

Booked an appointment at 9: 00am with Dr Anita Elias (first appointment of the day) and received a call at 9: 44am. When asked if there was a procedure put in place to call patients when the doctor was running late, Dr Elias told me to ". Bring it up with the manager" and hung up. Unprofessional and rude.

Had consultation with Dr Anita Elias. We had a physical consultation for my wife first she didn't check my wife and asked my wife to bring our 3 month old for second consultation on same day (in half an hour) on a cold rain morning. We came back home and visited the doctor again she didn't bother to look at the baby and gave us two prescriptions and sent us home. If it was only giving prescriptions why she asked us to bring our baby on a cold rainy morning. Only reason I can think of is she wanted 2nd consultation money! We trust doctors and some doctors here are just seeing patients only for money these doctors are worst example and I will not visit this place ever again.

Lovely receptionist who was very warm and friendly!

It took about 50 minutes past the appointment time to see the doctor, which is kind of expected and not such a big deal.

The lack of care on the doctors part was seriously concerning though. They took a look at the issue, blankly said it was x with little to no further information and begun prescribing antibiotics.

They asked if I had any allergies, but it was actually up to me to ask about how it would affect other medication I was taking. It will actually have a huge impact, which I wouldn't have known without asking.

This is not the level of care you should look for in a long term GP. Would be fine for a quick script if you know what you need and that's it. There's a reason that you can always get a last minute appointment with some doctors.

Very unprofessional staff here in this clinic. I was told to go and wait outside, waited outside for more than 2 hours, finally had to go to another clinic nearby. What’s the point of booking an appointment if we have to wait for 2 hours?
Never going to this clinic again and would never recommend anyone.

Experience doctors and receptionist very friendly and helpful.
However waiting to see doctor is unbelievable. Booked appointment at 5pm and waited until 5: 30 and asked receptionist am I the next?
She said no, doctor has one more patience and then you.
This is ridiculous. Why we booked an appointment when patience has to wait over 30 minutes.

Please see patience in a timely manner. Very disappointed today.
