My mother visited this store to replace the batteries on her car keys which stopped working ages ago. She asked if its covered by warranty and they said no, but since she desperately needed a replacement, she went through with it anyways. They stated when they replaced the battery that if the light flashes then it should work fine. My mother went back out to the car and it discovered it did not work. Parking far away, it took about 5 mins to head back to the store. She informed the young male worker who served her that the battery did not work and that she would like a refund. He refused, saying they do not provide refunds. My mother stated if you can't give a refund then you have to make it work. They took it to the back and came back informing my mother she has to go to the Toyota dealership instead. My mother questioned why they could not have informed her that from the beginning if they knew it would not work. Still refusing to give a refund my mother said 'I'm going to call my daughter and she'll speak to you' at which point he states that my mother will need to wait for his boss to come back. My mother calls me and puts him on. Over the phone, the worker said "ma'am there's no issues" and proceeded to explain what happened to me and then concluded with "we don't tolerate this type of behaviour". He said that "we offered her a refund but she wouldn't accept it".

To clarify firstly, my mother does not speak fluent English, but she is not illiterate, nor is she stupid. She damn knows what a refund is and if one is entitled to it. So to say that you wanted to give her a refund but she did not accept, is a load of BS.

Second, yes she did raise her voice and get annoyed. But to be honest, I would be really angry myself if I thought someone was cheating me of money. The only difference is, I can talk in a conceited and pretentious manner to intentionally derogate you and she can't (or won't).

Thirdly, obviously my mother saw that the issue was getting nowhere and opted to call me over the phone. My mother is telling me that YOU are refusing to give a refund which is why she got angry. If you agreed/offered one, then what is the issue then? Why did she have to call me? The fact you did not led to this tension and the fact you lied out of your teeth makes you a cheat.

Honestly, what kind of work ethics do you adhere to? You can rebuttal my review about my mom yelling and I will not excuse her tone of voice, but if you are working in customer service, you should be able to de-esculate the situation as well as maintaining a respectful response. I have worked in customer service and had worse treatment. But you know what, I am not here to give you a lecture. At the end of the day, you know in your heart if you have tried to rip people off or not. All you have to worry about is whether or not I will be coming down to your store to make a face-to-face complaint, considering I live only 5 km's away. No one bullies my 60 year old mother and thinks they can get away without a negative review. Absolute joke of a service.

Took my new watch in there to take a couple of links out to suit my wrist. Hayden served me, was extremely helpful and friendly. Later that day I had an issue with a link pin slipping out. Hayden replaced and tested free of charge. The next day I felt another link out would be best. Again Hayden served me on the spot, link out, watch perfect, and again free of charge. Highly recommend.

Very horrible work asked to have a crown engraved on a heart locket and it looked like a Santa hat, very disappointed the man serving me then said “well I told you I’d give it a crack I didn’t say it’d be good” but when I showed him the picture at the start he said “I’ll give it a crack” and when I questioned what he meant by “give it a crack” he then said “yes I can do it well”

Wasted an hour of my time because the key cutting operator can't understand extremely basic instructions such as "can you please cut this key".
Needless to say I will go elsewhere from now on.

Friendly and quick service.
I had a key cut from an old, worn key and unfortunately the new key didn't work when I came home; however the guys at Mister Minit happily replaced it free of charge. Sure, it was a little annoying that the key didn't work the first time round, but the staff were super lovely in replacing it, even offering my money back if it didn't work the second time.
I have also had other keys cut here and they have also been in working order, and done with minimal wait time.

We had a really bad experience with Mr Minit at Northland shopping centre. We took our watch there for a battery change. We were told to take a ticket and come back once everything is done. But we chose to wait there until the battery is changed. They changed the battery and gave it to us. We checked the watch then and there and found that the Pusher button for the chronograph subdial was pressed in. When we brought it to their attention they opened the watch and tried to fix it. When it was realised that they could not fix we were told that it is broken and they need to send it for repair. We were shocked. We took the watch for a battery change and they damaged it. When we told them there was no issues with pusher button previously, another guy from the store started arguing with us telling that the pusher was already damaged because of wear and tear. (He told us that the pusher button was already damaged as we brought it in. And the funny fact is that he hasn't had a look at out watch and did not even repair it. He just came into this scene from nowhere) Seriously, it is a really expensive watch and I wear it only on special occasion. He was very argumentative and verbally aggressive. I was shocked there was no apology. I understand humans do make mistakes. Instead they were trying to tell us that it is all our fault. Now both the pusher buttons are not working. I would never go there again. Really poor customer service as if they never want there customers to return. I wonder what sort of qualities are the management looking for when they hire employees!
