A coffee shop next to the busy traffic doesn’t look like much at all from the outside, but there’s something going on inside.
The food is very goodIn terms of presentation, taste, and quantity, it is very worthy of the price, and the ratio of food and drinks is also very healthy. Recommended!
Overall, most of the services are acceptable, but there is still room for improvement.
The atmosphere is okay. This coffee shop has a relatively large flow of people, and there is an endless stream of customers. The layout of the store is relatively simple and refreshing.
The last thing I need to remind you is: this restaurant does not seem to accept reservations (we once called to make a reservation) ; you have to wait for all the diners to arrive before you can be ushered in to sit down (how you feel today)

We went for the brunch and requested the meat in one of the dishes to be kindly swapped with a same cost vegetarian item.
However, we were surprised to find out that they don’t do swaps. Removal of meat was free but then they wanted to double dip and charge us separately for the replacement.
Most other cafes in the area are vegetarian friendly and happily swap out meat for mushrooms or hash for no extra charge. Poor form from Mister and Miss cafe.

Disappointing Experience

I recently visited MnM for breakfast, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. I feel compelled to share my honest feedback to assist other potential customers in making an informed decision.

Firstly, the seating arrangement was extremely cramped, giving the impression that customers were being treated like a tin of sardines. Throughout our meal, we were repeatedly asked to stand up from our chairs to make space for the staff to serve food. This constant disruption made it impossible to fully enjoy our breakfast.

The manager explained that they were trying to accommodate both walk-in customers and bookings simultaneously. While I understand the need to maximize revenue, it seemed that the comfort and satisfaction of the customers were secondary concerns. Tables designed for two people were crammed with four individuals, resulting in a cramped and uncomfortable dining experience.

Although I had not made a booking, I believe that every customer deserves a pleasant dining experience, regardless of their reservation status. While the food itself was satisfactory, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area that offer equal, if not better, quality while ensuring a more enjoyable atmosphere.

My visit to MnM left me feeling disappointed. The overcrowded seating arrangement and lack of consideration for customer comfort overshadowed the decent food. I encourage the management to reevaluate their seating policies and prioritize the overall dining experience to improve customer satisfaction.

Pretty good environment. Huge portions. All of us couldn’t finish our meal. Miss detox is super refreshing, overall we had a great experience.

Just a little difficult to get a car space.

Had the breakfast burger and the taste was just ok. It was actually really messy to eat.
Ok now avocado is delicious but not in this chicken burger. Simply too much and overpower the whole burger itself.

We love finding gems in the suburbs! Lovely modern cafe serving generous portions and great selection of meals. Coffee was awesome! And the meals we picked were delicious and filling.
Lastly staff were attentive, probably some of the nicest cafe staff we have encountered in years! Thank you! We will def be back!

Verdict - would return: nice coffee, well seasoned food, standard brunch service, need to return for the pastries!

Mister and Miss is a modern cafe situated in leafy Mont Albert. Their staff are welcoming and the interior of the cafe is stylish and beautifully presented. The food was absolutely decadent and the coffee tasted as good as it looked. I absolutely adored the pancakes here, I savoured every bite.

Will definitely have to return to try what other delights they offer.

My wife had a chicken salad and I had the wagyu burger with extra egg. The chicken salad was ok, basically, a Cesar with avocado added. The chips that came with my burger were not bad, crunchy as you hope. The burger though had a slightly sour spoilt taste to it, and it was way too dry to enjoy. They have the most bizarre way of dealing with you after you've eaten, to pay, they make you wait in line with all the people waiting for a table, so it can take ten minutes just to get out of there. If you haven't enjoyed your meal and then you get told to wait in line to pay it just pisses you off even more.a weird way to treat customers.

Friendly staff and great atmosphere, loves the aesthetic of the dining area. The food was nice, I tried the pumpkin salad, the flavours were good, but I'd prefer some more char on the chat grilled pumpkin, and roasting the pine nuts would be a nice touch. The big breakfast certainty big, and quite tasty but a bit oily. Looking forward to returning and trying some of their other offerings.

I buy a decaf coffee that costs $4.30, I give the manager $5, then he gave me 20 cents back. When I realize the change is wrong and let him know this. He looks very impatience and not willing to give the change. I hope they can be more polite when dealing with customers.

I've eaten here a million times and have never been disappointed. The staff are lovely and the service is great. Best to book for lunch so you don't miss out on a table.

I want this place to be good but haven’t really found my dish just yet. Had a seafood linguini pasta which was on special and the seafood tasted frozen. This after being told the calamari salad was great by my colleagues. Will try again but won’t expect too much.

Surprised the amount of people there, yet the wait times weren’t long for a table, coffee and food. Service was also good even though it was full. Coffee was good & the juices looked amazing.

We had the pancakes and steak burger. Steak burger was okay, but the pancakes were pretty good. The burgers also looked quite good.

Really reasonably priced food and decent servings! Have had the crushed avocado previously shoch was delicious. I added mushrooms which are really well done. Ordered the mister bean on the weekend and you can tell it is made fresh

Very average overall. Food was not terrible but not great either. The large hash-brown was over fried and was too crunchy and almost had the bitter taste on the outside due to over frying. Coffees were average for a place that's supposed to be good option for brunch. The open steak sandwich was served on probably a ciabatta which was extremely hard to slice through. Was hard getting attention from any of the staff.

My daughter and I were quickly served and we ordered the pancakes which the menu stated had vanilla mascarpone, kiwi fruit and mixed berries to share. When the pancakes arrived they had passionfruit on them. We spoke to staff about this as we do not like passionfruit. The staff and owner/manager were not interested in our conversation and denied that it was not mentioned on the menu. The approach of the staff about this potentially dangerous issue, if we had been anaphylactic was appalling. I will not eat here again and would not be confident recommending people with allergies eat there either.

Definitely not what I expected. Went in on Sunday for brekky & the place was packed. Would of been close to 150 people.

Service was friendly & the food was great. Huge servings. Standard pricing.

The atmosphere was great with young & older people. Very busy & the staff seemed to be in control of what was going on.

My only question is where is everyone parking? We found a spot in a side street after a few laps. But for the amount of people inside I have no idea where all the cars were.

Food was great & I'll be back. Keep up the good work.

A busy suburban cafe. I appreciate the focus and attention to presentation. But owners should taste the food more often. You have all the makings of a great cafe, just need to improve on taste. You know what i mean, just expect more from the kitchen. Be faithful to serving great food. Take time to watch your customers reaction when they take their first bite. That is the secret.
