Minotaur reviews
60 It was amazing shop!
Not that many Jujutsu kaisen's goods but there are soo many manga, graphic novels and other products! Love to browse them all
I guess people hate Mahito. Bunch of Mahito were there for looking for a new home lol
Been here multiple times and always found something to buy. Minotour is one of my best place to go if I'm bored, because in Minotour you can find so many comics and manga so it's very entertaining for me to just go there and look at things.
More of a place to browse than to actually buy anything. The weird insistence of putting these terribly hard to get off price stickers on items people collect is baffling.
I called up in the middle of lockdown to track down some comic series that I could not find on the Web, spoke to Steve in the comic dept and he sorted me out. Cannot recommend highly enough, really quick and good quality customer service.
Best store in Melbourne.if you're thinking of going anywhere else when you visit the city, don't. Don't even bother coming to Melbourne if you aren't coming to this store. In fact, if you live in Melbourne and don't consider coming here every day and buying an item, move out. Move to spotswood or something. Best staff ever, they're all incredibly attractive and extremely helpful. 5 stars.
I like Minotaur but I don't like their level of professionalism and nowlege! Every time I go in there to pay for bluray movie replacements I'm told to come back on certain days when certain staff members are in! It's like the staff that are there don't nowe wat they're doing! Other times I've gone in to check the availability of bluray replacements, they look them up and then aren't sure if they're available and again I'm told to come back on a certain day to talk to certain staff members! I always seem to be given the run around every time I go there! The staff at this place seem very incompetent and lack lustre at their job and they need a bunch of true professionals to come in and show them how to do their job professionally and smoothly so that I don't have to go in multiple times to get something very simple done!
Went in to see the new store. You'll like it if you're into Pop figurines as that has to be 50% or more of their stock. Pretty boring selection otherwise.
The workers are pretty rude sometimes. This not only happens to me once but many timed. Recent one was at the new place, I was about to take the lift and they said it's for disabled people. Well, I got asthma and the mask is restricting my breathing. I'm not lazy as I usually take stairs too but I'm gonna be out of breath after. They didn't even put a sign on it or anything. I've had enough that's why I write a review.
Love the old am new store outlooks nice choice for the move close to old location so old arses like me self wont lost
Much better location. But same group of narcissistic staff members who are so loud and obnoxious and love to hear their own voice much more than helping out customers or cleaning up the floor or restock the shelves. Very disorganized place. But the staff just yap away all without mask
Amazing little comic book within the heart of Melbourne! There were so many options and different types of comics, pop vinyls, collectables and heaps of pop culture things! It was a good experience and a good time to browse and look at all the different things!
T H E land of ultimate nostalgia and escapism for all ages, independent of the era that you were born within. Around every turn, above and below you will be overwhelmed by the unbelievably expancive real world loot chest that is Minotaur. I have had the pleasure of exploring this hidden gem for years, still unable to leave without making a purchase. Without question a must visit Melbourne CBD experience.
Great store just always lacking in stock for manga sometimes and it's always odd volumes that are missing like you go to get volume 13 of my hero and they have 11 12 14 and 15 but no 13 it's just odd stores pretty cramped pretty often but I assume that won't be a problem when they move locations I'm excited to see how much better this place gets over the years and I've been going here for years at this point
Such a good place for pop culture and nerdy things. So glad they have such a beautiful new location facing the street!
It has a wide selection of pop-culture and Japanese goods, however the prices often are quite high compared to other places. The staff and, other customers can be quite condescending in particular areas of the store;mainly the comic section. However it's a good starting point for finding merch and goodies.
The new location is cool, the only disappointing thing is that the whole shop isn’t full there are empty shelves and it feels kind of bare. Hopefully this is only because they just moved into the location. Still love Minotaur and they’re pop culture merchandise.
Not meing a local of the area, I was blown away with the store presentation and location. Everything from the Pops to the comics was fantastic to look through with such a wide selection. And the service was incredible and super friendly! If I ever come back to Melbourne, I will be visiting Minotaur again for sure.
Need a special gift for a child? This is the place to visit. What you find here isn't freely available anywhere else in Melbourne.
Anything that has happened regarding a comic book is going to be found here. Just walking through the store is an amazing adventure.
Every time I visit Melbourne I have to come here, you really can't go wrong with Minotaur they have it all: DVDS, boardgames, comics, merch, figures etc. Staff has always been pleasant and helpful too.
Awesome variety of anime and manga goods! I can’t not go in every time I’m in the city. I just wish their books didn’t have hard-to-get-rid-of security stickers. All my manga that I’ve bought from there is ruined by those stickers which I’m a little sad about.
