Such a nice time last night! Had the sparkling flight and beer flight, staff were so friendly and knowledgeable.

One recommendation is maybe to have printed cards to refer back to when you’re eating and drinking. Otherwise, was super fun

What a joke. Had to wait 5 minutes just to get a menu, and then the glacial staff avoided our table and eye contact and ignored me putting up my hand just trying to get served while they refilled other people's water glasses that were already full. I don't know what the issue was, but 20 minutes later we just left. The staff even look like they don't want to be there or do any work. Maybe they're not always like this, but I don't recommend taking the risk. Oh. It was dead. There were more staff than tables that had people sitting at them.

I had a problem with shipping for a Xmas gift I’d ordered and the team went above and beyond to re send the gift for the next day. 10/10 service!

I’m so disappointed. I had ordered two hampers for a Xmas present. Got them delivered 10 days ago. Delivered on time and in good condition. I didn’t realise that the hampers only had 7 days before they were out of date. Organised lunch for the referrers today and went to give them the hampers only to find out that both hampers were OUT OF DATE! Even if I had given the hampers on the day they were delivered they only had 7 days to eat all of the cheeses in a box worth over $100 each! So very disappointed.

Shocking experience do not go here! My friend had purchased a voucher at milk the cow for her and I to share for my birthday. We were greeted by a staff member and told info about the wines and cheeses. As soon as we mentioned that we had a voucher, we were scowled at and dismissed by this particular waiter ALL evening. What a night hey! Nice stuck up atmosphere you have at this wine bar!

Got the 5 cheese board, all of the cheese were delicious, waiters were very friendly! And they have a wide range of wines we got the sparkling wine was good, will be back soon for sure!

Fab experience and so many different unique types of cheese. Loved the wine flight and cheese pairing.

I was just in your store to purchase some cheese take away when I was told by the boy behind the counter to go outside and talk to someone else as I was not wearing a face mask and have a lawful medical exemption.
I was then asked to produce a certificate which I am not required to do by law and told I was not allowed inside. I then had to wait outside while my friend made our purchase.
I've never felt so belittled in my life and publicly embarrassed infront of a busy restaurant all the while the whole restaurant is sitting there maskless.
What a disgusting experience.

Had some drinks with mates there couple of nights ago, very rude service, rushed us to leave our table after we spend a fair amount of money, insolent waitress was rude to me and threat to call the cops without reason if wouldn’t leave,

The wine flights are great value and a very fun experience. I was also eyeing other people's cheese platters and they looked great: will have to be back to give one a try.

Was a great experience! Great little spot on Lygon st, we had some cocktails (absolutely amazing! Loved that they came with a cheese pairing as well) and tried a gin and cider flight. Were told we would receive bread but it never came. Service was great, one staff member got really aggravated while making some drinks and threw glasses in the sink which smashed, was quite uncomfortable when that happened.

Great cheeses and food but such a shame about the service. No drinks for over 30 minutes. We asked that not everything arrive together. And guess what everything arrived at the same time and still no drinks. Our dirty plates were not cleared away at all. Plenty of staff but they need serious training. Such a disappointment.

Dined in last weekend (Sunday) and had a strange night with poor service. We were served by a different person each time. We had to ask for bread/lavosh 3 times before we finally received it to eat our main board of cheeses. It was about 3 pieces of bread and 3 pieces of lavosh for 6 people. We were rationing it! We had crumbs left on our cheese board when a waiter passive-aggressively put 2 more serves of bread/lavosh on our table. We had finished our wine and wasn't offered to order more. When the waitress was telling us about the different cheeses we ordered we could hardly hear her, the music was so incredibly loud. Which was a shame because it was the only hint of good service we received. The lights above us were brightened then dimmed then brightened then dimmed - so bizarre to do this with a table of 6 sitting below. The waiter offered still or sparkling water to the new table next to us - while pouring still water into the patrons' glasses. (We weren't offered at all). The customer awkwardly answered "Uhh still is fine thanks". I couldn't help but laugh at that point. The only things that saved the night was Pidapipo and Readings.

A great selection of international cheese and wines. Milk the Cow offers some of the best cheese in Melbourne with a wide variety to choose from. It also offers hot cheese dishes, including fondues, fried cheeses and raclette.

We had the most lovely time at Milk The Cow. They only had outdoor tables left and it wasn’t warm but they had plenty of heaters around so that was fine. It was quiet cozy and made drinking warmed mulled wine extra nice! The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable which was amazing! And I got to try some different cheeses that I hadn’t heard of before so that was a real treat.

The staff were really friendly which was a plus. I would give their customer service 5 starts. I ordered the fondue and it came out with herbs on top not mentioned on the menu. I have an allergy to rosemary so I had to send it back. The staff were 100% fine with this and apologetic. The reason for giving 3 stars is the bread served with the fondue was stale. If they had lightly pan toasted the bread in some olive oil and sprinkled with salt flakes it would have taken this dish next level. Unfortunately when spending $20+ on fondue I expect either fresh bread or toasted.

We came last Sunday afternoon, cheeses were fantastic! However our waitress was very entitled and had little bad attitude.
She literally sat down at our table when she was taking our orders and explaining the cheeses, didn't even asked if we were ok with it, super unprofessional and strange.
Took almost 15 MINUTES of pure unnecessary snobbish about the cheese flights while our hot plates were getting cold. Didn't even offer us bread or crackers, when I asked her she just said a very dry "Wait! ' while walking away with hands on her pockets and never coming back with the bread.
Jesus, never seen anything like it.

Not coming back.

I enjoy this place every time I come. The waiter we had was fantastic and made sure I always had chardonnay in my glass. I can’t get enough of their cheese selections.
