What an incredibly memorable venue for a wedding. Metropolis Events is always a pleasure to work with, as their staff are so accomodating and extremely responsive! Our artists love to perform in such a beautiful space, and we look forward to working together in the future!

Metropolis is hands-down the best wedding reception / event space in Melbourne. It’s not just the location, or the spectacular and one-of a kind view and backdrop of the Melbourne city skyline, or the exceptional quality and presentation of food and beverages, or the sensational service and professionalism of the entire team, but a combination of all these things which made our wedding with Metropolis a dream day we will never forget.

From the moment we stepped foot in the venue, we knew this was the place to celebrate our special day. The decision was made that much easier after meeting our wedding coordinators. The team at Metropolis are genuine and go over and above to ensure the day runs perfectly, and is as special as it possibly can be. They truly want the best for their clients. A big shout out to firstly Sian, who was our initial wedding coordinator (before COVID), and then Alanna, who was our coordinator after COVID hit in 2020. They were both genuine and caring throughout the entire process, which ended up being a godsend after having to postpone our wedding from 2020, and then almost having to postpone again in 2021. We can never truly articulate how grateful we are to both Sian and Alanna for all their hard work – they helped make our day perfect and we all shared some tears along the way!

Every guest who attended said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to – and everyone wanted to do it all again. This is testament to the quality and service from the night. Thank you to Alanna, and the whole team at Metropolis (Devon, Precious, Artie and all those behind the scenes) for making our wedding a memory we will cherish forever. We look forward to coming back when our friends/relatives will undoubtedly, book their weddings with Metropolis.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough for a wedding reception. We booked with them early 2020 (pre-covid) for a 2021 wedding. While we were witnessing a lot of friends struggling with venues through Covid, these guys were just so incredible. They completely adapted to the climate and were so extremely flexible with our constant changing of plans, right up to the day before the wedding. Camilla went above and beyond for me leading up the day and was only ever a phone call away. The night of our wedding, the staff were just incredible. They went above for all our guests, we have had so much wonderful feedback from our guests all with individual stories of the staff looking after them. They were just so lovely and we'll never forget our how special they made our day! Thank you so much you team of legends xx

We had Precious serving our table at the wedding tonight. She was beyond amazing. I mean every meed of mine (and believe.me I have particular needs) were met with haste and a great big smile. I tried to offer her a job but she regretfully denied however is admire the absolute loyalty of this young girl. Where I am from, the highest medal of commendation is a " bunnings voucher" I could not recommend this commendatation enough. Seriously this person is top quality and made an already special night that bit extraordinary. Would definitely book a venue here as long as they continue to employ such dedicated and amazing staff!

I simply cannot explain how amazing this venue is & how great staff were to work with. We chose this venue upon first glance without considering any others as we immediately fell in love with the stunning windows, and SO glad we did. Food was incredible, we had so many amazing compliments from our guests, great service and just overall so accommodating. Alanna was highly organized, SO helpful and accommodated everything we wanted without any hesitations. I’d do it all over again if we could!

We walked into Metropolis and instantly knew this was the place for our wedding. The staff were amazing in the lead up to and on the night. Nothing was too hard for them and had the venue exactly how we wanted it on the night.

Guests are still talking about the venue, and we can't wait to attend a function at Metropolis.

We had our wedding reception at Metropolis on the 1st of April. The staff from the initial planning meeting all the way through to the actual night were a dream to deal with! The food was absolutely perfect and the venue facilities are exceptional. I would highly recommend Metropolis for any of your event needs

Metropolis events is honestly the most incredible venue we could have ever dreamt of. With everything that happened with Covid, throughout the whole journey, we were always looked after by all of the staff members. We always felt so welcomed and looked after throughout each situation. When we finally got a date and organised the wedding in 6 weeks, the service we received was beyond measure. All the staff were helpful, responsive, positive and even on the night were calming both our nerves! Every single person we dealt with, including Emily, Camilla, Helen, Sarah, Des, Precious, Arty, just to name a few, made Daniel and I feel incredibly special and because of each staff members’ attention to detail and 100% genuine care, we are forever grateful for their contribution to what will always be the most unforgettable night of our lives. Saying thank you will never be enough!

We got married at Metropolis in February 2021 and we couldn’t be more grateful for the staff at Metropolis. I was amazed at how stress free the entire day could be - as they literally took care of everything. The reception room itself needed minimal decorations as it is absolutely stunning without even touching it. The food was amazing - we had a lot of great feedback regarding the food from our big Italian families (which is a huge compliment in itself!). Camilla (our events planner) was absolutely fantastic to work with - we were forced into COVID lockdown just days before our wedding which left us little to no time to coordinate or prepare anything during the lead up period. Camilla helped us finalise the contracts and finer details in one day and made sure everything was perfect for us upon arrival. I cannot recommend Metropolis enough. They brought our dream wedding to life!

We're so happy we picked metropolis for our wedding venue! Firstly they have very good airconditioning so if you do your ceremony and reception there you don't have to worry about everybody getting too hot during summer! Secondly the venue itself is absolutely stunning, especially with the extraordinarily high ceilings and tall windows with the backdrop of the melbourne CBD in the background. Most importantly the staff there have be AMAZING TO WORK WITH! Camilla was sosoososo nice, understanding and accommodating during this time. Planning a wedding during covid is definitely not easy but she was so flexible with changes up until the last minute! My bridal party and guests also really loved all the staff members that helped us that night, we couldn't have asked for anything more!

Thank you, Alanna, for organising the reception for us! I am still feeling blessed and thankful to be able to hold such event during the COVID-19 period. All of the guests praised about how nice the venue with the backdrop of Yarra River is as well as the food. I am grateful the guests are as impressed as us throughout the canapés and reception. I will recommend my friends if they plan to hold meetings or receptions in the future.

Now I don't normally write too many reviews but in this case I had to make an exception. Wow, what a venue The Metropolis is! My wife and I cannot thank Sarah, Camilla and their team enough. They helped us organise our wedding within a month and knowone could fault the night. Food was excellent and the service was world class. I have never felt so looked after in my life. It was such a memorable experience!

I would also like to say thanks to Devon, a special young lady who will go far in life with such an excellent work ethic and attitude. Devon's service was incredible, truly deserves some recognition.

For anyone looking at using this venue for their wedding or event. Do not hesitate. They are exceptional, you will not be disappointed.

Unfortunately, our dream wedding at Metropolis Events was cancelled only 4 days prior due to Covid-19 (just my luck!). Nevertheless, Helen, Emily and Sian were incredible at assisting in the postponement. These women were compassionate and understanding during a very stressful and difficult situation.
If you’re looking for a stunning venue with an amazing view (and staff that are genuinely caring too!), then I highly recommend Metropolis. We CANNOT WAIT to celebrate our special day here soon!

Honestly, I can’t wait for someone I know to get married there or something, just so I can come to the venue again and eat the most amazing dishes!

I had the BEST time at my own wedding in October 2019, and I know it wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing staff at Metropolis.

Prices aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for and that's quality. So if you're looking at booking a sophisticated venue and willing to pay for it, Metropolis is a great choice!

Shout out to Sian, Emily and Precious, 3 wonderful and professional ladies who helped make mine and my husband's night as magical as it was!

Despite the great service and food, for a wedding party you need a better cooling system, the venue is extremely hot making everyone uncomfortable even for us who weren't participating at the dance floor

Jo and I had our wedding at Metropolis on Dec 29 2019. We always knew the venue was going to be incredible from the day we laid eyes on the space. What we didn’t know was how incredible the team would be, in particularly Emily, our event planner. No request was too small or too insignificant and she guided our hands through the entire process. Emily - thank you for supporting us through one of the most stress periods of our lives. (I wish this was an exaggeration)

In terms of the event itself, the service staff were incredible friendly and also really fun! The food ample and delicious. Thanks.

They don't hire enough staff so if you want to host an event here beware of massive queues at the bar. The limited staff they do are are not Friendly. Not recommended for events.

Had a great afternoon Conference, like to room seminar room, the high ceilings are value cause I do not like feeling cramped, feeling of spaciousness

If you are looking for a wedding venue, go somewhere else! Not worth the stress the team cause you before your big day. They go back on their words and try squeeze as much money possible out of you last minute! I had heard this from high profile brides but did not listen and still booked with them and sure enough i got the dreaded emails/calls trying to squeeze more money out of us 2 weeks before our wedding! Very bad customer service too when you call to discuss matters, Got laughed at and belittled by "management". Very rude and not helpful! Also, Could not follow a simple floor plan, I had wedding guests WITHOUT seats, not just one person, SEVERAL which they had to last minute squeeze 12 people on a 10 seated table while we had already started the night. Very crammed and embarrassing really. Not organised at all and want top dollar for this bad service and attention to detail? Many other things but this will go on forever. Save yourself the stress, plenty other places in Melbourne that offer better service and care for clients! You want someone who will work with you not against you for your most important day.
