My only feedback is that MEC don't answer after hour calls nor return calls. Very unprofessional. Why have an after hour contact number?

Great, large event space with balcony and high ceilings in Melbourne’s Southbank. Fantastic food and drinks on offer from staff, happy to help and make your event a success!

We have had the most amazing experience planning our wedding through Metropolis Events from the very beginning. They made us feel comfortable, gave us lots of information and provide not only a stunning venue but also incredible service. On the night of our wedding, everything was setup amazingly and our bridal attendant, Lin, was sensational and was always checking in with us and ensuring we had everything we needed. The team at Metropolis events are simply amazing, the venue is gorgeous and the food is incredible. Alanna was so kind and patient to work with during the entire planning process, the staff on the evening of the event were attentive to all of our guests and everyone had the best night. We got married on the 3rd of April 2022, and can honestly say they're The best wedding venue in Melbourne! From start to finish we had everything we could have ever dreamt of at Metropolis. Their professionalism, attention to detail and finishes were everything we wanted for our day. Everything was perfection. During the lead up the care we received was second to none. They were so great with every step even through lockdowns they were always so positive and reassuring. On the night our guests were blown away. Our DJ loved their sound system, our guests loved the food. We loved the view. The staff made sure everything ran smoothly. We don't have a single bad thing to say. Even our bridal attendant was so sweet and fun. She made sure we were ok all night. If you're thinking about booking them STOP THINKING, JUST DO IT! They're aren't just beautiful windows.their an experience. THE BEST!

This event has been a pleasure to organise. Working with Georgia was delightful and she made everything seem easy. Nothing was too much trouble, even when we changed things up. The AV crew made things super easy thank you Daniel! On the day the floor staff were amazing, so helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. Big thank you to Jane for being so agile on the day and a special thank you to Paul for all his help, particularly when setting up for our panel - it looked super fancy! The venue is spectacular, and all our attendees really enjoyed it. We hope to be back! Thank you

We had our wedding at Metrolpolis and it was the best day of our lives. The staff and team were fantastic in organising and eliminating the stress of wedding planning. Special thanks to Kirstin in particular. The food was delicious. The drinks and service were impeccable. The venue itself is beautiful with the best windows and view of Melbourne across the Yarra. Would highly recommend!

My partner and I got married at Metropolis and it was truly an amazing experience. The team at Metropolis were so helpful throughout the whole experience, from the planning stages all the way through to the end of the special night.

We had our wedding reception at Metropolis Events and we cannot recommend the venue highly enough!

After two postponed dates, Alanna and the team were so accomodating and understanding with our reshuffling of plans and always willing to go over and above to make sure we felt comfortable.

On the day itself, we couldn’t fault it. Our attendant Carla was a total legend, we were so well looked after. Our guests raved about the night - it was so well run, the food was great and service from all the staff was amazing. Plus you can’t beat that iconic Melbourne view from those loft windows!

I wish we could do it all again, and would do it all again at Metropolis! Thank you so much.

The Metropolis staff were simply amazing and went above and beyond to make our wedding exactly what we wanted it to be and more.

Our wedding planners tailored our event exactly to what we wanted it to be and offered support, guidance and assurance from day 1. Even through rescheduling due to COVID, metropolis stayed loyal to their word and contractual obligations. They did not derive in any way from any agreed terms and were a pleasure to deal with.

All guest rated food quality highly and the wait staff were exceptional.

We could not be happier that we chose Metropolis as our wedding venue! Not only is it a stunning venue, but the entire process was seamless from our initial walk-through to the day of our wedding. Metropolis was incredibly accommodating and understanding as we navigated the challenges of COVID with having to postpone our date. The food was incredible - we received many compliments from guests and our Event Planners were simply the best. Very professional, organised, helpful and replied to emails in a timely manner. Where do we begin! Metropolis was just the most perfect wedding venue and everything about it was just incredible! We had our wedding reception here in Dec 2021 (after postponing from 2020).

In the lead up to the day, our events organiser Alanna was fantastic. She was able to guide us with timelines and tasks to keep us on track for organising the big day. The tasting was AMAZING and we got a sample of the 5 star service at Metropolis (organised especially for a group of us whose tasting kept getting cancelled for covid). It was absolutely easy to coordinate our bump in the week of the wedding, and the team were prepared with checklists for all of our items.

I don't even have words for how amazing the venue was on our wedding. The venue is just STUNNING with the city back drop. The food was amazing (I still don't know how the chef pulled off having the food being as amazing as the tasting when cooking for 240 people). The service was outstanding for all of our guests and all the staff were so friendly and attentive. Everything ran absolutely perfectly.

Our bridal attendant Devon was just OUTSTANDING. She looked after us so well all night and absolutely exceeded anything we had expected. On arrival she had snacks ready for the bridal party, and helped me trim/pin some loose ends of my dress. She was right there to put my flowers aside so our photos cutting the cake would be perfect. When it was time of the bouquet toss I didn't even have to look around - my toss bouquet literally just appeared on my table. She ensured we always had a cocktail in hand and when we made our exit we arrived to the bridal suite we found she had packaged our desert and cake that we hadn't eaten, as well as brought over my bracelet that I left at my seat and packaged into my bag for me. If this wasn't enough she helped us get to the Langham after the reception! We are so grateful for everything Devon you are amazing!

Thank you so much Metropolis - we finally got to have our wedding and it was just the most perfect day ever!

5 star service and quality. The MC really made the wedding zing. Decor and spacing was just right.

I held my wedding at Metropolis on 6 Jan 2022. We could not fault the service on the night. The food was fantastic and plentiful and the service was great. My event planner Kirstin was fantastic in the lead up to the event, dealing with all of the back and forth changes particularly due to the covid-19 pandemic. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding.

We had the most wondeful experience with the team at Q events by Metropolis.
Philip and Kirstin were both there to answer as many questions as we had (and there were many!) and we felt like absolute rockstars on the night and even throughout our preparation.
Our guests were treated with respect and well taken care of on the night too.
Our wedding night ran super smoothly and we can't thank the team enough for making our fairytale finally come true.
