Melbourne Showgrounds reviews
51Great experience everyone should go to the show all the age groups are welcomed there and it shows how diverse is the country in which we live in and how great is the culture. Proud to be Victorian.
My first time visiting the Melbourne Showgrounds, we attended the Royal Melbourne Show. I found everything very well signposted and easy to get around
Was so expensive, some rides $20 for 2 mins and 20 mins wait. Nithing below $10.for kids using their pocket money it was a rip off. Apart from them farm area was most enjoyable.
Parking price was horrendous, not only do you have to pay to get in but to be ripped off with the cost of parking as well. Will be the last time we go.
It's a Melbourne institution so one has to go there at some stage - be it for the races, or the Royal Melbourne Show
An excellent day out. A little disappointing not to see fire works being ome of the main reasons we attended. A little expensive for entry. $70 for three adults on pension concession. Other than that we had a fantastically time. The baby animals and farm animals, excellent. Super football bags. Army and swat bags all sold oir early in the week. They were grouse and good price. Bertti beatle bags excellent value at $2 dollars. Loads of people. Lots of lights and movement. The prices where pretty fair for the overall experience.
A bit is under reconstruction but mostly it works well I would have liked to get closer the animals and a few more food samples would have been welcomed
Melbourne Royal Show
Pros:
Fun atmosphere full of things to do for the who family
I love the petting zoo (the only free
Activity)
Cons:
Every year the show gets more and more unaffordable for a lot of families. Everything has a cost, from entry to parking. That doesn’t cover the rides, food, etc. It’s getting really ridiculous.
Although there is a lot more food varieties, the prices are just unreasonable
So over rated pay good money to walk through a gate and get nothing, then walk round and pay overpriced rides and food and then undervalued show bags,
I haven't been to the Royal Melbourne Show for 25 years, so I was pleasantly surprised by the refurbished pavilions, the CWA still under the old grandstand, and the new livestock pavilion was a joy to visit. Thankfully, I didn't need to buy showbags or food. 1 serve Chips + drink =$11 so not a cheap day, especially for a family with children.
It is good to spend a day with family and young children as well, but the activity here is expensive. The ticket excludes the rides, and the rides price varies. Besides ride for adults, there is children area near the winning taste area.
Not to worry about foods, there are plenty stalls and food trucks spreds all over the royal melbourne show. However, it is suggested not to drive but take the train instead. Overall, it is good to have an experience once a while for coming here.
