Melbourne Showgrounds reviews
51Well, was apparently a 45 min wait to see if I had a common cold, whoops I mean covid. Same same. Anyway, after the 3rd hour I'd only considered suicide about 27 times so that's handy. The doctor kinda sassed me and the nurse mispronunced my name. Thank God for netflix. Thank God for covid lockdown. They really make any gym progress or habits I have disappear so I can really feel worthless and like a robot. Enjoyed the racing club next door to the showgrounds that mistreats animals so a few rich white men can have some sort of disconnected enjoyment
A good event venue but currently is being used as a vacation hub, Though when it's done being used as a vacation hub, it's a great big area and famous for holding the Master Chef kitchen and the Royal Melbourne Show. I gave it three stars because I'm reviewing it's current state.
Recently been to this place for COVID-19 vaccination. Very busy and long queue however it moves quick as they have large number of vaccination rooms. Pre-booking is highly recommended.
Gate 11 for covid-19 vaccination, turn into Showground Village Mall from Epsom Road and keep left then you will probably see some of the traffic's controller there to guide you through the car park.
Given that I queued up for a COVID-19 test along with thousands of others, it was a smooth & efficient process even if took 4 hours.
Here at the vaccination hub. Had an appointment, drove up, free parking, no waiting for my turn. Staff everywhere to help. Everything sanitised.
Went for my partner's covert shot just waited outside for her saw one man collapse that had the vaccine got taken away in a wheelchair apart from that nothing exciting
Free parking. Security directs you to a parking spot and also tell you approx wait times. 40 cubicles. Separate line for walk ins and bookings. Walk in wait around an hour but varies. Website is not uptodate. They can give people like a token number and ask them to come after a particular time. But overall experience was good. Helpful staff.
Torture, absolute torture. Events held were terrible, and to top it off I tried to leave but was mentally and physically challenged by officials and was told I was not allowed to leave the venue within 15 minutes of event ending. I have rights, this is illegal.
It looks a lot smaller now that your older. Facilities are all there, train station in the middle of the grounds as well.
Excellent day out but catering left a lot to be desired. Only water available for $70 ticket never again.
Very fun and entertaining. Something for everyone. Have rides, shows, stands, animals, and showbags with very good deals something for any age. They also had lots of interesting food.
Just went to a car show here and had the best time.the facilities are great and plenty of different options 4 public transport
Loads of space for any event/expo you'd wish to have, recently attended Hunt Expo 2019. And thoroughly enjoyed, walking though. Loads of people and still not getting in one another's way.
Awsome place for such as big events and train will provide in special events.big parking place for cars.coles is near to showgrounds.
Massive venue (Which it has to be) but not very well signed, finding toilets at events is an effort.
We spent the day at the show. It's been ages since we've been. Lots of fun. Lots of walking. Lots of food, although the food was pretty expensive. A good day.
Really too expensive for a family oriented outing. It was a nice day out for the kids spending most of their time at the amusement rides. Rest of it was pretty bland for a Royal Show. Food options were good. Not an event I would visit every year though. People waiting for hours in lines to get showbags was just silly and fascinating at the same time.
Not bad, still only a shadow of its former glory but looks like they're final making an effort to make the show great again. We will never have the grand arena back again though, pity.
