Melbourne Metropole Central

First time for us at Metropol Central.
Staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful.
Free parking was an unexpected surprise. We even got a late checkout for our car while we explored Melbourne.
This is our new go to motel when we come to Melbourne.

Nice big rooms.
A bit tired place.
Can do with a clean.
We had to ask for: shampoo, coffee, milk as nothing was replenished except for towels.

We enjoyed our visit, it is ageing in need of a few updates etc.
Curtains not being fixed letting the light in at night.
Disappointed that the restaurant was closed, as we had hospital visits and it was difficult to find a suitable food outlet.
But will be back again so convenient to the hospital.

It was a brilliant place to stay. Lots of room & extremely accomodating with an extra trundle bed thrown in

Our apartment had a reverse cycle unit outside our bedroom window and rattle all night long and made it impossible to sleep. Best reception could offer was an apology in the morning and that they would contact maintenance.

The cleanliness of the bathroom let's it down, could not have a shower in that condition

The room is a good size but the bedsheets were dirty and towels looked like they already have been used we were also hoping to go come back after a long day out to new towel, toiletries, clean sheets and a empty bin but unfortunately this did not happen at all so we were left with dirty wet towels and the same dirty sheet with no body wash left either

The overall experience, friendly staff, and location was A1 will definitely be back even in the footy season:)

I visited my parents staying there recently and they seemed very happy with the place. The location is easy to get to, and it's a lot bigger on the inside than it looks from outside.

Customer service was great friendly staff however I agree with other reviews from a few months ago an not much done to address we had a two bedroom deluxe (not much deluxe about it) mould in shower mattress was so bad I had to sleep on lounge as sore back after 2nd night.cutlery, glasses and crockery is mix and match can’t even make up a set lucky to get 2 teaspoons and dishwasher nob missing. Generally unit is tired. However location is great and parking onsite is perfect.

A very calm oasis, close to town. Great facilities with parking and pool and lovely staff. Upgrade was a lovely surprise and a real bonus! Thanks. Will be back.

I wish I could say more about this place but have only used the parking facilities. Which are awesome when I need to work near here. Service is friendly, it's easy to get to and I know my car is safe all day.

I recommend this accommodation fully! They were extremely helpful and polite when I needed help from delayed flights and gave me a better room because my daughter was visiting so she had a bed without any charge. I can't believe it's 3 star hotel the room was big, clean, neat and really nice. Its in a perfect location and I will definitely be staying there next time I return

Great location and the staff were amazing, so helpful and accommodating. The rooms are a little dated but perfectly fine and comfortable, very spacious and well fitted out. Would definitely stay there again.

The parking on location is very convenient and it’s was a great location for what I required. Staff at the front desk were very friendly. As other reviews say, there is a lot of mould in the grout of the shower. Bed was okay. Rooms large and spacious but very empty for their size. Courtyard is really pretty

The location was great, the number 11 tram from Victoria Harbour to West Preston (via Collins Street and Southern Cross) went past the hotel. It's also close to the Fitzroy Worker's Club where my friend launched her single. Not far from Foodworks for groceries.

Disappointed that restaurant is currently closed as this was part of our reason for staying here and wasn't advised on the booking site.
Showers were not well cleaned- very grimy with just bleach splashed all over rather than scrubbed.
Pointless balcony off kitchen and bedroom windows- no actually access and facing a brick Wall!
Bed in main bedroom quite hard and only a single flat/soft pillow each with no extras to swap for.
