I have been with MGA for a couple of years, attending guitar lessons with Michael, Jake and Joseph. Since I started, my technique, speed and music theory knowledge have significantly improved. Now, I can play advaced level riffs and guitar solos, I didn't think I could play before. Great place to learn playing guitar, from beginner to advanced level.

Melbourne guitar academy is an excellent place to learn guitar, they speed track the students and get them really enjoying their class time. It’s all about having fun with friendly teachers and teaching the kids what they want to learn. We highly recommend MGA

Great system where you can learn as much as you want with the comprehensive information available. Can't go wrong with these guys.

Michael has helped me move into a more comfortable style of playing after I had been self teaching myself guitar with youtube during lockdown, learning the fundamentals that I missed from self teaching, I can definitely solo better with a nicer understanding of the fretboard. There are also fun group classes to get involved with.

Great professional learning environment with a group of passionate teachers who create a fun environment. Frank in particular is a great teacher who explain things clearly and allows an environment to ask any questions needed to gain a better understanding of guitar theory and practical applications

My experience of team over at MGA has been first class.
As an absolute beginner at the guitar I’ve found all the teachers I’ve come into contact with very supportive, patient and extremely knowledgeable.
Surprisingly I’ve also had a lot of fun.

Guitar teachers are positive, have a great rapport with my son, are encouraging and the lessons are long enough to really focus on a goal and make genuine progress towards meeting it. Very welcoming and inclusive of children with special needs.

I've been with Melbourne Guitar Academy since July last year. Started on Zoom during lockdown and now doing face-to-face lessons. I love the structured approach to learning and my teachers, Frank and Jake, have been fantastic. I'm really enjoying they progress I've made and love my guitar every time I pick it up.

I have been very impressed with Melbourne Guitar Academy. I have made much better progress than I expected in the two months I have been taking lessons so far. Learning with a group has been fantastic. I would recommend anyone thinking about guitar lessons gives them a try.

I have really enjoyed taking guitar lessons with Michael at Melbourne Guitar Academy.he is always creative and developing new ways for students to learn. I particularly admire all the work he has put into his online learning platform which compliments his teaching significantly.

Michael has the patience of a saint. A couple of time’s when things weren’t happening for me he was calm and kept to his teaching beliefs and got me through. He is a brilliant guitar teacher and I couldn’t be happier with Melbourne Guitar Academy. It has also been a godsend during stages 3 and 4 lockdown that we have been able to conduct the classes via zoom. That too has worked just as good as having Michael sitting next to me. Again thank you Melbourne Guitar Academy

I've been with MGA for about 7 month and I'm really happy with them. The team is professional and friendly. They run several classes with a different group. On the first day, Michael assessed my level of guitar knowledge and technique and he recommended which class would suit me. Unfortuantely, I couldn't join that class due to my work but I was in a different class. At one point, I felt I was not in the right class and I wanted more challanges. After talking to the team about my concern, they arranged me with a different class, which has been more engaging and motivating. I really appreicate them. During this COVID, they open classes using a video conferance app. It really helps me to keep working even harder during the lock down. Thank you team.

I love learning to play the guitar from Michael via Zoom. I had tried learning before but gave up. With Michael's handy exercises to practice at home in my spare time, and easy 60-minute sessions that focus on a particular component of guitar playing, I've begun to feel more confident about my skills. I also enjoy group learning sessions as you can compare your progress against others and know that you are not alone in your learning journey. Highly recommend!

If you want real progress, a tonne of resources and personalised, professional tuition, look no further. They're called the Guitar Academy for a reason, with a range of teachers specialising in blues, jazz, rock and metal guitar.
If you've been meaning to either start playing, or start playing again, this is the place, with attention paid to your goals and how you can achieve them - not just theory and some easy songs to learn.
Great equipment, great facilities and even better teachers!

Joined Michael’s lessons during the COVID-19 free lessons and am now dedicated to learn the guitar. He is very supportive and encouraging which is great for a shy 52 year old with no rhythm and stiff fingers.

I joined MGA because of its step by step program it offered, sadly after a few weeks we stopped the program and then was taught what ever the students wanted. Sessions were conducted in groups, had no problem with that but my group kept changing each week with new faces at different levels, so a lot of time was wasted on repetitive things. I was expecting a lot more for what i was paying for, normally for that price you can get one on one tuitons

Recently started with Melbourne Guitar Academy as a beginner who doesn’t know anything about music and have made great progress in just a few weeks! Highly recommended!

My teenage son has been learning guitar with Michael and Jake for the past 18 months and during this short period of time, he has made dramatic improvements in his ability to play an acoustic guitar. At the same time, he has developed a strong passion for writing his own music which has been nurtured by both Michael and Jake. It is wonderful to see him frequently practicing his guitar and writing his own lyrics and music without any prompting from his parents. I highly recommend MGA for any young budding guitarist.

Melbourne guitar academy is a amazing place to learn guitar. The teachers have awesome personalities and a great knowledge of music that they love to pass on. Along with friendly staff that make you feel welcome from the moment you turn up. It has become a major part in my life now and I love turning up there once or twice a week.
