Meetbowl reviews
63Food is incredible but the opening hours absolutely suck, closing before prime dinner time just doesn't make sense: (
An old favourite in South Melbourne.
This Indonesian restaurant has been around for a long time.
This place is under new management but with same old good food.
It serves Indonesian style noodles and light meals as can be seen in the attached photo of the menu.
In my recent visit, I had the bakmi siantar (Siantar Noodle).
Good portion. Great taste.
I would definitely visit this place again in the future to try other options in the menu.
A good “Bakmie” place to go when ur missing some bakmie siantar hahahahaha been missing home lately and this restaurant just help me feeling better.their Fried meatball or bakso goreng is a must ordered, had it with the sauce and its amazing.place are bit crowded but theres sitting area outside aswell so no worries
Good place to have your Indonesian noodles (bakmi) craving fixed! Been here few times, but I'd really recommend ordering the bakmi ayam jamur (chicken and mushroom noodles) with some fried snacks on the side.
Small Indonesian eatery close to South Melbourne Market. They offer good variety (meatball, noodle and snacks). You can check their menu.
Taste authentic and it is self service for the condiment. Noodle is chewy type, and the soup is flavourful (surprise surprise).
Super yummy food and they are really fast at making it, i love coming here on my lunch break:)
Simple, nothing fancy, everyday local home style Indonesian dishes. A bit pricey for basic Indonesia street-stall food.
The food was yummy but your prices displayed in-store were old and the actual price charged at the register was different.
We have been here many times and have under new management few times. We believe this a new owner now. This have been the most flavoursome Meetbowl that ever been. Beautiful bakwan goreng and the aromatic oil in the noddle is beautiful, the noddle cooked perfectly and I wish they give us a little more meat. Keep it up guys.
Food's always amazing; but shouldn't take 45 minutes for six kitchen staff to make one chicken noodle soup. It’s just this time, normal waiting time is ok.
I came there to buy takeaway. While my friend finished payment, the cashier, a petite girl helped the chef preparing the food and totally ignoring me. I stood there for 5 mins but she didn't acknowledge me at all. So I cancelled buying and waiting for my friend outside finish his food. I came far from Glenroy since I wanted to eat Bakmie siantar so much. Please train your front staff better thanks
The food is good as usual but the waiting time is unbelievable. My advice order your meals as early as U can too avoid disappointment especially if you on the clock
Did a job next door to this place and couldn’t resist the beautiful aroma
very busy place but worth the wait very authentic indeed reasonable pricing highly recommended.
Best bakso malang, bakso, bakmi, and siomay in Melbourne! Very close to indonesian style. Keep it up~
The best bakso in Australia. Bakso Malang is so authentic maybe even better from my distant memories I had in Indonesia. The portion is generous so it’s great value for money. Cant get enough of the bakso malang, my husband and I ate here repeatedly 3 weekends in a row
Unnecessarily made us wait on a Saturday afternoon, very Stingy servings and the quality is not the best for the price you pay.
Had the bakmie keriting siantar, it was pretty large and yum! I think there could be a bit more topping compared to the size of the noodles but that's only because it was a big bowl. Also the pork came out a bit cold which means its not cooked fresh which i understand for a fast food restaurant but is a lil sad. Soup was also good. Overall good value for money, and tastes pretty great! Also quite salty though so if that isn't your thing, maybe give it a miss.
It’s called a ‘fast’ restaurant but we waited for 30 mins before the food was served. I had to remind the staff to get food, which is appalling. The food was so average and felt cheap. Would not come back.
My personal favorite here is Mie Ayam Jamur. The fried meatballs also tasty and quite big. A bit disappointed that they only open from 11.30am until 3pm only these days. That place always full of people, so better order via uber or call for pick up later. If u're driving, could be difficult to find a parking spot during peak hours. Almost get fine when I park my car at the front of the shop. Read the sign carefuly. Once u place the order, The wait time could be more than 20 minutes. The soup for noodles and meat balls was full of flavour when I came last year, this year when I came back it was plain - no flavour at all, what a let down.
