Mecca Maxima reviews
51 Once went in to get a foundation matched to my skin tone. 3 staff members sitting and standing around the makeup mirrors loudly gossiping. I stood next to them for a moment instead of interrupting them straight away. Ignored. Walked around for a bit only to be ignored by another staff member who rushed past me as I was approaching her, even though the store wasn't busy at all and she was carrying nothing.
Other times I have gone in the staff were not very welcoming.
Great staff. Mecca Maxima offers latest trends in fasion and beauty. The place is friendly and easily accessible. The lighting and overall look is comfortable. Located just in the fasion hub of werribee pacific shopping mall. It has got heaps of parking. Overall, it's worth it to visit. Many thanks
The sales woman was extremely helpful and basically picked the perfect birthday present for my friend. Couldn't have done a better job myself!
Looking for help with products, I noticed two girls chatting away, I looked at them like I needed help. One rolled her eyes. Simply said don’t worry don’t need help and she looked at me like she walked over here like it was a mission. There was one lady.blonde hair I think she was new with a nose stud. Really went into depth with products also if she didn’t know she would get it clarified with other staff!
Made my first purchase this week from mecca in the hoppers crossing plaza.
I was in casual clothes with no makeup on and when I got to the counter the sales girl asked me straight up 'is the person you're buying this for a member? '. So I guess because I wasnt made up enough it surely couldn't have been for me? And she seemed quite visibly taken aback when I said it was for me.
Will buy online because it was quite disheartening.
I'm not a huge make up person, however today I had an awesome experience with Alison! She was amazing, i felt comfortable and welcome and trusted her opinion. Please Please please pass on what an awesome job she's doing! I'll be back for sure just to see her!
Excellent Customer Service. Each and every time I visit this store the ladies are always happy to assist. Great brands and great products. I can not fault anything.
If you want great customer service visit this store.
Mecca has good quality makeup but they didn't have much makeup in stock. I asked for some foundation samples but they didn't give me anyway it is a good place
The store itself is well laid out with a lot of brands to choose from and makeup remover available to clean up swatches - which has earned them one star! The service however is horrid! Both times I have been I have gone "makeup free" and, ergo, the assistants don't want to serve me. (YouTube channel wildvioletyt if you want to see me barefaced).
The assistants reluctantly greet me, they don't even smile, and walk off as soon as they say Hello because someone this hideous couldn't possibly be interested in purchasing makeup (the irony). I understand I may look "poor" but if these assistants knew anything about sales they would realise that every person who walks into store is an 'opportunity'. PROTIP - if a person comes into your store with their (smiling/happy) husband then that is a BONUS. Seriously, who trains these people!
I always say I am browsing - because I want to look and swatch all the makeup as it's a novalty for me (I buy online usually). However, again, if these people knew anything about sales or customer service they would at least have the intelligence to ask simple questions. EG. "Are you after anything specific? ". Have a think about what the customer may be after, and why they are in your store.
The assistant at the counter was actually quite lovely (but I was buying something sooooooo of course the smiles are going to come on). My receipt only says "Caia" but I'm not sure if that's code for something. Regardless, the assistant at the counter was pleasant, well done to her for being able to build a rapport with her customers.
Laugh if you want, or maybe just train your staff to a high standard.
Absolutely disgusted in the customer service. I was "helped" by a lady who I believe was Fatima who was condescending and so rude. As a makeup artist I knew what I was looking for so when they didn't have what I was after I was ready to leave. Her response "well I'm 28 and have more experience in the industry"
So incredibly rude.
