Advertised price of gin at $99 (including on label in store) ; woman at till rung it up at $110. Explained it was $99; she then walks back to $99 label on shelf, rips off the label, simply says ‘it’s wrong’ and asks if I still want it. Go online and the distillers website confirms price at all stockists is $99. Poor form.

A great range of top quality meats, smallgoods and accoutrements and deli produce - including a small but quality wine collection. The prices are high but about right for the quality. Meatsmith can get exceptionally busy - particularly around Christmas and other special occasions.

The staff are all highly qualified and are generally very forthcoming with good advice.

This specialty butcher is so cool! We were attracted by the decoration and came in to take a look. We ended up buying a nice bottle of wine thank to very dedicated service by the shop assistant.

If you want to pay a premium price because you would rather not go to your local butcher. Good luck. Came once, steaks were expensive and not much better than Coles.

Great produce and excellent quality but needs to be more reliable with stock. Went on Thursday for pork sausages - none available and told they might have some by the weekend. Returned Sunday for lamb cutlets. None available and no lamb chops either. Need to get this sorted otherwise will be creating an unreliable reputation.

Absolutely wowed by the quality of meats at this butcher. Great service and advice on preparation and cooking. Not cheap but well worth the price because the quality is so high.

I love this butcher, it makes me feel in Italy where butchers mince the meat on request. Amazing selection of the meat (quail, wild rabbit, goat.) and charcuterie. Great quality.

Amazing butcher. A wide variety of specialty meats (including quail, rabbit, goat, pheasant) and the meatsmiths know their cuts. You are in safe hands here, although you will of course find that quality and expertise cost more. They offer an interesting but limited range of other gourmet goods too at top of the price range.

What a beautiful store, wanted to buy everything. Amazing produce displayed in a very enticing manner.

Great service. They were able to get a whole turkey in at quite short notice and even provided it with stuffing.
