Great food and service. Only thing I found strange is they don’t ask how you would like your steak cooked.

10/10 for good and service. Came last night and got the banquet. Everything was cooked perfectly, was a good amount of food and we left full. Service was 10/10 we sat on the bar and bar tenders were all friendly. Will be coming back again.

Great experience at Meat Maiden, our server was absolutely lovely and very helpful/knowledgeable about the food. The food itself was great and came out reasonably quickly. The only negative was when I went up to pay, the lady on the till wasn’t too professional to her staff and was pretty blunt to me. Otherwise awesome place!

I came here last night with my partner for my 25th birthday and it was one of the best restaurants i’ve been to. The waiters were beyond exceptional, the food was incredible and the cocktails topped it all off. We ordered the 7 course tasting menu and would highly recommend for those who can’t decide between all their amazing dishes or aren’t big eaters (although it’s still a lot of food, we couldn’t finish it). We will absolutely be returning and couldn’t recommend Meat Maiden more to those looking for an intimate dining experience

My goodness, this place is off the chain! Would recommend that tomohawk and lots of old fashioneds!

I want to say a big thanks to Poppi and the team who made our experience amazing. Every element of the set menu was amazing. We sat on the higher tables as a group of 16. Apologies to the staff as many of us had not caught up in a while and moved out of our seats. The octopus was amazing and the brisket melted in your mouth. The bread and steak tartar delicious. The brussel sprouts with jalapeno salsa verde was also top notch. The atmosphere was great. And only one person had visited before. Everyone was asking how i found the place.
A great way to celebrate my wifes 40th.

Meatmaiden is one of my favourite steak houses! This was my third visit and every dish was a highlight. Entrees were delicious! The beef tartare is one of our faves in Melbourne.

We decided to take a gamble and deviate from ordering a steak from the grill. This was one of the best decisions we could have made.

The special of the night, caramelised short ribs, were rich and complemented by the pickled cabbage. The wagyu brisket was fatty and so well cooked (which is rare to find in Melbourne). The steaks are great, but if you have a chance to try the mains, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. The sides are equally delicious. The miso cauliflower in particular is to die for.

Service is impeccable. The gentleman who served us was great. We were also running late; and not only were they able to accomodate us - they upgraded us to the booth when we originally booked the bar.

Great date night spot. I would also recommend coming as a group so you can try as many dishes as you can.

This place is one of the best in Melbourne, unassuming and unnoticeable but the food is phenomenal, great selection of drinks, awesome vibe. I have been going here for almost 5 years, consistent.

We've been there a couple of times and had the Feed me menu. Very good selection.
Due to the lockdown, we opted for the Delivery Steak and Lobster menu. High quality of the products.

The last supper again? Dinner before the lockdown #5. Lively underground prohibition style restaurant with the best brisket EVER, get the brisket!

We opt'd for Maidens-mood which included 3 starters, 2 mains and 3 sides. We added the extra to get the lobster Mac and cheese as well as the shaved truffle.

Cocktails were amazing, esp the pisco disco. Every dish was outstanding except for the steak which was tough and dry, bit disappointed. The brisket, did I say get the brisket? It just melts in your mouth, done to perfection. We probably wouldn't order the lobster Mac and cheese next time as personally found it a tad sweet. The side chips, if you like it chunky this place is your calling.

Overall, loved this place, we will be back.

Outstanding meal. Every dish was a 10/10, cooked beautifully with great portion sizes. The service and atmosphere was fantastic. Highly recommend for a celebration or for when you just want to treat yourself. The octopus, lobster mac and cheese and eye fillet were stand outs. As were the two deserts - creme caramel and giant freshly cooked cookie.

Awesome family night out! Great venue with such a great atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient, staff had excellent knowledge of menu. The food and drinks were just totally amazing! Well done Meatmaiden staff!

Best place for steak. The menu changes regularly but the steak is always good. I wouldn't recommend getting too big a steak as I find the larger steaks are often cooked unevenly. Not a fan of the smoked meats either as the ones I've tried were dry. I suggest asking for the steak to be sliced for sharing so that you can try more dishes as they always sound good. The lobster mac n cheese is pricey but the portion is large for a side dish, and the flavours are there. AND it comes with extra sauce. They also make a pretty good Amaretto Sour, if you're into that.

Love this place and always recommend to friends and work colleagues visiting Melbourne, food is amazing and I always end up eating far too much. Wines pair beautifully with food, great atmosphere in an equally funky spot!

Had an amazinggg anniversary dinner here recently. Evelyn and Bruna took great care of us and make some great suggestions including the scallops, lobster mac and cheese, and the cookie. We'll be back for more!

Good but a long way from being great! Dark, dingy and a little loud! Food okay but steak very overpriced. Don't think I would go again tbh.

Excellent!
The lobster Mac and cheese is really special, I love how generous they are in both size of the meal as well as the quantity of lobster on it.
My partner said it was the best Mac and cheese he ever had in his life, so definitely a big statement here.
Steak was also excellent, perfectly cooked.
The octopus was a bit too spicy for me, but this is a pretence thing.
The burnt bits also a very good call.

This place was absolutely divine! Exceeded an already incredibly high expectation & I can’t wait to come back

We loved it so much, we ended up ordering 2 additional dishes to cap the night off (and they ended up being my favorite dishes!)

STARTERS
- Prawn sandwich
- Scallop & Pork Belly skewer
- Octopus (recommended by the waitress and oh my lord, so good)
- Beef tartare (hands down the best dish. I walked in never thinking I would like, let alone love, a tartare dish. A must try!)

MAINS
- Eye fillet - our favorite cut! Beautifully cooked
- Onyx

SIDES
- Cauliflower (probably the only one I’d give a miss, but a nice side)
- Mac & cheese (pretty good, but I’d definitely go back to try the lobster Mac & cheese next time instead!)

DESSERT
- cookie & peanut butter. Wowwwwww we were so full but so glad we tried this!
