Master Cobbler reviews
63Well priced, excellent quality repair and friendly service. Will definitely be getting all my shoes fixed here as I know they are in good hands
I am very satisfied with the level of care and quality craftmanship that Arthur has attended to my shoes with. Three times I have taken my new cowboy boots to have newly soled to protect the bottom and extend their lifespan. The quality of the rubber sole attachment is fantastic! It was seamless and in sync with the style of boot and he blended the sole in on the bottom rim to show no difference between the rim and the rubber sole. He also polished my boots impeccably to a high shine outcome. Well done Arthur. Won't take my shoes or boots anywhere else.
Walked into the store, there're a line of customers waiting to pick up their leather shoes. They look brand new when Arthur pulled them out of the bags to show them to the customers for examination.
On that day I wasn't so lucky, the bottom bit of my heels got worn off and broke. It was right around the time he supposed to close the shop too. He let me stay back and once he finished serving his line of customers, he took my shoes and started to work on them. It was a quick fix to replace the bottom bits, but geez that level of care is unforgettable. Thank you for saving my day.
Highly recommend this place.
Friendly service, got 2 watch batteries replaced here. Came back a few months later to get an extra hole punched in my belt at no charge. This is quality service and going the extra mile to retain customer loyalty.
Fantastic service, product and price! I used to Topey my shoes at another reputable establishment in the CBD and it took twice as long and cost almost twice the price. Strongly recommend!
Every time I go to this place the staff are absolutely lovely. They are very helpful and provide genuine advice.
Quality repairs every single time. The only place I take my beloved, treasured shoes because they come back with years more life, polished and all within about 24 hours after I drop them off. Thanks Master Cobbler for excellent, friendly, fabulous service! See you again soon the sole of my high heels give way.
After having a run of bad luck with taking boots for repair to other cobblers, I was so relieved to have a fantastic experience with Arthur. I dropped my boots off before work, and received a text later that morning advising they were ready for collection. Arthur responded to my queries about payment promptly and with courtesy. Upon picking them up, I saw that he had performed a highly skilled and professional job. The new heels were attached seamlessly, and walking now feels like I'm walking in new boots. Arthur also polished them beautifully, which is very much appreciated.
I'll definitely be taking all my shoe repair jobs to Arthur in the future, and can't recommend him highly enough.
My shoe broke literally outside this store while I was on my way to work. I was late for work but my shoe was fixed on the spot. Fantastic service, friendly & affordable for inner city location.
Quick, efficient and welcoming service! No job is too small and my shoes look great. Thank you so very much for fixing the rip on the spot, I really appreciate it.
The cost of getting keys cut here is extortionate. $8.50 for a basic one or $9.50 for a coloured one, over 2.5x the cost of Bunnings. Maybe I should've asked but wasn't expecting to be fleeced like this. Service was friendly though.
I cannot rave enough about Master Cobbler on Collins St. These guys are really friendly and reasonably priced. I took about 6 pairs of shoes after my puppy Harley used all my shoes as teethers and Arthur was just fantastic in giving me the right advise which shoes to get repaired and which ones would just be a waste of money getting repaired. They are also masters in watches. I will keep recommending these guys. If you need an honest, reliable and honest repairer, these are your guys!
Being here a couple of times now doing my heel on my RMs. They also do watch batteries.just friendly service everytime.highly recommend
Wow! What a difference to my shoes. Im convinced that this guy is the best cobbler in Melbourne.
Wouldn’t even consider anyone else
Fantastic service from Arthur and the team at Master Cobbler. Efficient abd friendly great service. I go there for all my shoe and bag repairs! Thank you!
Arthur's a pleasure to deal, advice is always realistic and sound. My experience with his repairs has been consistent and quality
Ruined a pair of Loakes and then said they wouldn't have done work like that despite being where they were last repaired and even though their logo being on the soles. Sole was glued and nailed poorly and is separating and nails entering sole of shoe so therefore impossible to walk in without pain.
I have had Vera Wang heels and Maison Margiela Tabi boots repaired and re-soled here. They do such a fantastic job, the only place I trust with my designer shoes. They took the care to follow the unique toe shape of my Tabi boots, re-soling the toe only and leaving the designer embossing visible on the arch. The results are seamless, I’m very happy.
I have put off writing this review for a few months, but my experience with Master Cobbler was not as swell as everyone else’s. Like many others, I used master cobbler because I saw a flurry of good reviews. I had recently purchased a new paid of shoes, and I wanted to get rubber soles added to them to increase their longevity.
When I got home and had a chance to inspect the work that had been performed, I was rather disheartened. So much so, that I put the shoes straight back into their box and didn’t touch them for 2 months; only wearing them for the first time last week.
The rubber soles were installed poorly, with damage done to the sole and leather of the shoes. The heel replacement, which these new shoes did not need, was also installed very poorly, damaging the stitching, leather and wooden sole of the shoe.
The real kicker was it cost me $100, which was more than I spent on the shoes. Overall, the experience was not pleasant
If I could rate zero star, I would! You pay freakin $17 to get your keys copied, and it doesn't even work! The key was cut incorrectly and wouldn't even go inside the lock. Called the shop and the only resolution they would give us is come back to the store to get it fixed. We live 1.5 hours from the city. I told him this would be a great inconvenience to come back to his store and if there was another option. The guy basically didn't care and hung up on me. What sort of customer service is this? I will never go back to this store and don't recommend it for your key cuts! It's not even worth going back to his store to fix the key as it's gonna cost us $10 to go to the city via train. I can simply use that money and copy the key again at another store! Thanks for stealing our $17!
