Masala Valley Indian Restaurant reviews
75 Great dining experience, we stopped just for lunch, and so happy we did! !
Will be back loved the authentic Pakistani twist on Indian cuisine.
Thanks Asif and your wife.
Called in for late lunch. Service was friendly, Samosa's for entree were nice. Ordered dahl with rice and naan bread for main course. Rice was cooked well, but dahl seemed as though it was a can of lentils mixed with cream. Very little taste and no salt at all in it. We were very disappointed in the main course. Naan bread was more like sandwich wrap heated up. Decor seemed a bit 60's. Call Gordon Ramsey for a makeover!
Great food and great service from Asif, well done, will be sure to come again when next in Ballarat.
Very bad food.didn't like the taste of any dish.nothing tastes like indian.chicken pieces from chicken tikka were served in biryani too. I would never recommend if u r looking for good Indian food. I feel 1 star is more than they deserve for the food they served. However, liked the customer service.
The service is good and friendly. In general, it's actually pretty quick - faster than Sehmi, Kojan, Ra, Or Sushi Box. There is one lady there who knows exactly what I'll order every time too lol. But if there are a lot of people you can expect a bit of delay. So while it's generally faster than somewhere like Kojan, it handles the high traffic slightly slower by comparison. It IS a smaller restaurant though so that's pretty expectable.
Had fantastic meal here tonight. I was on my own and as usual ordered too much, but the owner suggested maybe i should rethink what i had ordered! So glad i did! Service was great and the food was delectable, had the Porottas stuffed with spiced potato and the Goat Rogan Josh. Delectable and delicious! Highly recommend this
Tasty Hyderabad biriyani
Nice place
But need to improve the serving time faster.
We had waiting for some time
And better provide the portion little more.
Unless that Tasty food and good serving

Amazing food, great atmosphere and excellent service. Wasn't expecting food this good. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Ballarat.
The best Biriyani (Hyderabadi) i ever had in Australia. Great service too! Will surely comeback again
Fantastic food and services, and reasonable prices.
I have never been disappointed ever at this restaurant, and I'm a regular.
Just had my first order delivered and, based on the reviews, I was looking forward to a nice meal. Butter chicken was cold and consisted of 7 tiny pieces of chicken in a watery sauce. Barely warm rice and soggy, greasy, roti. Very disappointed and feel ripped off. Won't order from here again.
The best Indian food I have had in Victoria. The chicken curry was delicious and Daal Makhni was great! So much fresh and tasty food. Loved it. Will visit again whenever I visit Ballarat.
Ordered takeaway online, arrived at the restaurant at time stated by text message. Turns out they hadn't even started making the meal. And we didn't realise that they only started making it 30 mins after we were waiting. 10 mins after I asked for an update and that I'd like to cancel my order as it was taking far too long, it was handed to me. 55 mins after I placed my order. Now I don't have an issue with a meal taking an hour - but I was told it would be 15 mins. The entire operation was disorganised, no one would give me an update. The only update we got was told us (5 mins after we arrived) there was a 20 min delay in them getting the order, which I know not to be the case - because the text message is only sent when they accept the order.
They apologised at the end and tried to give me a free 1.25L bottle of Coke to make up for it, which we refused. And to throw insult to injury, they completely forgot to give me my $8 entrée - which I didn't realise until I got home.
I'm a huge fan of Indian food, so have plenty of meals to compare to this - and the meal was ok, but not the typical Indian flavours I've grown to love. Meat quality was top notch though, but butter chicken had no tandoori flavouring (was yellow and not orange as it normally is), and beef vindaloo was full of salt and not spicy despite ordering it hot. If it wasn't for the complete and utter mess up with our online order I might of given the meal a 3 out of 5, but they loose stars for blaming technology and making us wait 35 mins at the restaurant after our meal was due to be ready. Such a shame as well given it's one of our closest Indian restaurants.
Ordered twice and both times the food was terrific. I think the one star reviews have never eaten Indian food before.
