Maroondah Reservoir Park reviews
48 It’s a must visit place if you are going to yarra valley. It’s a perfect family picnic place. Though there are some steps to go up but views are breath taking. You won’t be disappointed.
There is a lovely waterfall but it runs only when water overflows from the reserve.
Beautiful place for a family day out scenic entry is free and you can easily spend the whole day doing Activities like hiking biking BBQ or just relax.
Beautiful viewings but could benefit from more walking connections around the lake. For non-driving hikers there is not enough paths avoiding traffic. Many times I found myself directly on the road in risky driving conditions let alone walking.
It's a nice spot to just relax, enjoy some family time, kids can play, have some packed lunch, check out the abundance of parrots and go for bush walk taking in the sights of the reservoir while learning a little about the history of the place. Only negative is some money needs to go into upgrading toilets and some facilities for people to enjoy for years to come.
So pretty and unexpected. The gardens are beautiful and there are wild parrots who have become friendly with visitors bringing seed for them although feeding the birds is not recommended as it is not their natural diet. The trees are old and the seasonal change makes it stunning each time you visit.
Needs a few more bbqs and covered areas with our cold and wet winter months.also.pleeeeease dont shut the gates so early.the number of cars that have to turn around and go elsewhere.disappointing
Beautiful spot to come for a walk or a barbecue. Lovely picnic spots overlooked by the towering dam wall, but still sunny.
Very beautiful place! Don't come here at 5 because the gate might not open for you. A short trip here will take around 20 mins because it takes a while to walk up.
