Maroondah Reservoir Park reviews
48A beautiful spot to relax and just wander through the magnificent surroundings. Electric bbqs and under cover picnic tables are available. Well worth a visit.
An excellent picnic spot with lush green gardens, barbeque arrangements, and ample parking available. The dam is around 15 mins walk from the parking spot and the walk is slightly steep but not difficult. The walk is tree covered and very beautiful. The dam at the top has amazing scenic spots where you can take really lovely photographs. You can walk across the dam to the other side. There is a short walk from the other side of the dam over the hill beyond, but with kids in tow we avoid going further ahead. Overall it was a wonderful visit.
Good little park to have a picnic, heaps of bbqs available. Beautiful trees and park. And amazing sunset views on top of the dam. Lovely little walk around. The rose steps are pretty for photos too. Easy to get to and not a hard climb.
Great place to take the family or go for a picnic or hike with friends. Plenty of things to see. Lots of wildlife around, bbq and toilet facilities.
I love this park, it rejuvenates my soul, hidden treasures at every turn, autumn of course is the magical time. Visit it and you won't be disappointed.
This is a beautiful park. Nice to visit anytime of the year but very beautiful in spring and autumn. Nice to have a photo at the park Look Out from the Maroondah Hwy.
Beautiful location, nice place for BBQ bur unfortunately most of the hot plates were out of order or not working properly.
Maroondah reservoir park is awesome. There’s quite a few tracks to walk along, you can walk up the top across the dam wall as well as see the water gushing down the waterfall if your lucky.
There’s a few parks for the kids to play around on and there’s flower gardens with roses you can walk around.
The reservoir is a peaceful picnic spot with a light to moderate hike to the top of the wall and other viewing locations. Their are several rotunda for large gatherings and enough benches for the picnics. The drive to the reservoir is also very scenic for the passenger and exciting for the driver. Washrooms are not the cleanest for a public park.
Nice place to go with friends and family. Could walk and prepare bbq nearby. Lot of places for kids to play. Sometimes maybe not enough water in reservoir.
Best place to have day visit from Melbourne. Carry your food, have a picnic with family and friends!
One of the most beautiful places in Melbourne, specially the trees in autumn are very amazing.
Seeing the lake half full with no waterfall was sad it I'm sure with a week of rain it will be awesome again.
Great day trip from Melbourne. Come here with friends and family, enjoy picnic lunch and some walk. BBQ area, nice picnic area, toilets facilities available. Well maintained park.
Awesome place for picnic? With family and friendly.parking and barbecue facilities are great and the dam look out was worth the climb
Good place for a family visit. Plenty of open space. Expect for a little hard work to get to the top wall of the dam. The picturesque view will please you.
Lovely park. Great facilities including lots of picnic tables. Plenty of shade from the sun. Nice walk up to the top of the reservoir.
Horrible, so sad to see our local place turn so bad, no play area for the kids it was all fenced up m, the nice gardens are horrible so but how I remembered as a kids
Melbs, this fantastic historic (and currently vital) park is very tired and unhappy. Where has our genuine pride in making things look amazing gone? Picnic tables available, but this could be so much more!
Excellent place for relaxing and picnic. BBQ pits and parking available, very big area and you can easily find a place for relaxing even in crowded days.
