Manhattan In Mornington

Had my birthday dinner awhile back, oysters were massive, impressed by the service. Downside is dirty smokers sit by the front door and fill the venue with their putrid smells.

Food was great. The service was good particularly as there was 12 of us. Certainly happy to revisit.

Food was bland bland bland, way overpriced for what you get. Rose is the manager but makes no effort to fix or rectify an issue. Found duck bone in our food. Will not be going back, I suggest others dont aswell.
Disappointing.

Pretty average. Beer glass sizes were good but a pint is a pint. My sister found rocket spinach on her seat which was disappointing.

Lots of yelling from the kitchen. I feel sorry for the staff. Meatballs, arancini balls seem frozen, the owner wouldn't stop complaining about her own life instead of leaving us alone. Not an enjoyable environment to eat in. Would not recommend.

Good food. Good service. Would give 5 stars, however, toward the end of our meals, the place started to smell strongly of fish. Enough that people were complaining, but other than that, it was great.

Absolutely fabulous place! I had a lovely time. The staff are extremely kind and gentil especially the younger ones. Very polite and looked after us very well. The food was delicious- highly recommend the Mare Monte pasta. We sat upstairs in the mezzanine area and it was nice and secluded, the waitress was punctual and always smiling. I can tell the staff work well as a team and are all very happy. Cannot Thankyou enough for making our stay so pleasant. Next time we are in town we will be back!

I think the menu and pricing could do with an overhaul, as what was on offer and what we received were not aligned. The waitresses were doing their best given the limited menu. Also you cannot have a conversation here due to the volume of the music. I suggest a normal beer such as VB and a Parma with chicken or veal rather than eggplant be added to the menu and it would turn some frowns upside down.

Possibly the worst place i have eaten i dont mind paying for food when i go out but i ordered garlic prawn risotto 5 prawns and three tablespoons of rice for 48 dollars it was a rip off and the staff where extremely rude i will not darken there door step ever again they truly need to take a hard look at there customer service and there ethics

Had to send two dishes back as they were so bad. Would never go back.

It's always a pleasure to visit Manhattan In Mornington. The service is friendly, the mood is relaxed (inside and outside), and the food is great. Order the mussels!

Fantastic food, terrible service. Missed people taking orders, having to ask multiple times for menus or water, hourly drink orders and forgetting to bring out meals for 50 minutes until asked is pretty unforgivable when it's not even a busy night

Quite pricey and they added 1.5 per cent for using the credit card. Servings sizes inconsistent- three small scallops don't make a starter. Mains too big.

Great food and atmosphere. Staff very attentive and kind despite being very busy. Food did not disappoint. Will be back. The pizza capriocciosa and calmari fritti were fab starter.
We had Barramundi with farro from their daily specials. It was amazing. Eye fillet was very tender and cook to perfection by their Italian chef. The tiramisu was fantastic. Highly recommend as well as the donuts. Thank you.

Some of, if not the best food in Mornington! The steak is second to none. Staff are always friendly and bend over backwards to help out.

Food (lasagne and seafood pizza) was lovely. Service ok but simple things missed like checking back for our drink order after giving us menus. Also brought up a pasta meal instead of pizza so had to wait another 5-10 mins or so for new meals.

Love the themes, Italian food great, service.not bad, but perhaps don’t bring your loved one here to propose marriage, just as you bring the ring out, have everything set up, get down on your knee, you will probably be asked if you would like to look at the desert menu by one of the waiting staff. “Waiting” on a table can sometimes mean exactly that, and that can add a star or 2 to the experience. Still recommend it.

Absolutely love this place, we come back for the Capa Santa, Mare e Monti and Tiramisu, ridiculously delicious every time! The best wait staff too, especially Julia, she's so lovely!
