Manhattan In Mornington

Excellent service, even with a bit of rather baffling confusion over whether or not we could have the cork from the wine we ordered (in the end, yes, so perhaps a little staff training around why the cork is important is all that's needed). Absolutely happy to come back again, even if I have to have a cork conversation again!

Booked seats a few days ahead. However, called me 5 hours before booking that my booking is cancelled. Ruined my date. Thank God it’s not a dinner with clients. Called me a few days later that they are open now, I can go have dinner. For what? For last minute cancellation?

4 people at our table, 4 different times for the meals. One served when other three were finishing and one was stone cold in the middle. Staff were nice but obviously lots of problems in the kitchen. Covid rules were hit and miss, some signed in some didn't

Edit. —-The owner / manager has responded to my review with untrue statements. Very sadly she will destroy her business if she spends more time fighting honest, negative reviews than she spends fixing the many problems. GET the Message! Fix the kitchen. Fix the service.

Oh my goodness. I hate to think what happens in the kitchen. The Barramundi that was sent out to me was not cooked. It was hard and cold. By the time it came back out my wife had finished her meal. Same fish, same plate that the raw fish was on before. Maybe they need a new cook and some lessons in customer service and anger management. Been there before but will never go back. They wrecked our night out.

Bit of a mixed experience here. Staff was friendly and attentive in the beginning, however after ordering it took over an hour for the mains to come out. We had to follow up a couple times for when our food was going to arrive. Would not recommend the Pork Belly as the skin was not cripsy and the meat was dry.

The pasta dish Pappardelle Osso Bucco was very good though. Unfortunately our pizza was forgotten and did not come out at all and we had to remind the staff about it. It was not brought out until we had finished out mains, which was over 1.5 hours later. The staff were apologetic and said there were issues with the night but there are a lot of improvements to be made if I was to recommend this place to others.

8,3,2020. Meals are ok. But I experienced the worst service from a waitress that I have ever experienced. She was rude and did not know how to serve meals to patrons. There were two waitresses on this day the youngest was very nice and helpful and knew what she was doing. However the older girl needs to be retrained or reprimanded for her extremely poor service arrogant attitude and needs to be reminded that she is working it hospitality and not on a factory floor. I try to support local business as much as I can. But in this instance I have to say my experience will not be forgotten in a hurry. I hope that the owners of this premises read my review and implement some form of Change or training regime for their staff.

Barramundi was not cooked, waitress very attentive but neglected to follow up on drinks. Food was tasty. Then they threatened to call the police when we said we wouldn’t pay the full price for a ruined night out!

Our experience was disappointing, from being left standing at the door for ages, to not even being shown to our table. No one came near us for ages, then people who arrived after us received their food before us. It took 55 minutes from sitting down to get our entrees, my husband’s garlic bread was cold. Then when our mains arrived, my risotto was uncooked, which they offered to cook for longer! No thanks, service was average, (I haven’t mentioned the waitress that kept wiping her nose with her hand) the food was underwhelming. Really disappointed as we got babysitters for the night, what a waste!

Didn't start well with no record of our booking, but they found us a table. When we ordered wine we were told we couldn't take unfinished bottles home, even though we purchased them - strange? However all was saved when our food arrived - absolutely delicious and good sized portions too. Very congenial restaurant layout and excellent service by staff. Check when buying by the bottle about taking unfinished drinks home. Food excellent!

Where to start, the service was amazing, and the food was even better.they really went above and beyond, I asked them to get a rose for my girlfriend for her birthday and it was waiting for us at our table when we walked in. Highly recommend.

Pretty average experience really. Service was rushed and impersonal. Don't ask for something off the specials board. Ooops, we forgot to rub that off last night, it is not available. Pizza was under cooked and soggy. Fish and chips were a small serving, no way value for the money. Disappointed overall, must have chosen a bad night to visit.

Unfortunately can't really recommend. Food came out cold and with no real flavor, service was very rushed and impersonal. Beautiful place with great lighting and features. Will certainly be trying again, but expectations are low.

Hopefully next time they won't forget our meal, and if they do, I can only hope they at least reheat it ‍️

One of my favourite date night locations. The food is always delicious, and well-prices given the serving sizes and quality. I would highly recommend the scallops and Arancini balls as entrèe options!

This is probably my favorite restaurant in Mornington. Have been here several times and everyone I've been with with have enjoyed exceptional food and service. The menu has a lot of variety so I never get sick of it and keep going back

Food good. Garlic bread very dry. Customer service OK but they need to stop rushing customers to order. We were out within an hour.

Fabulous food, authentic Italian restaurant. All made there including handmade pasta. Supurb food, great setting, friendly staff. Great prices.

Had such a fantastic dining experience here. The staff are helpful and attentive and the warm and stylish decor, takes you to another place. The food was AMAZING.recommend the Tutti Gusti Platter.

Plenty of parking out front, a lovely place serving up excellent range of food and drinks. Loved out duck and garlic prawn dishes. Oh so good.

After a good golf game， we had a wonderful dinner at the Manhattan in Mornington. All the dishes we ordered were great - duck breast, pork belly, linguine and the tiramisu desert was to die for! The ambience is good and the service is very friendly. The owner even recommended us a great bottle of red wine at a lower cost than what we had ordered for a house wine. This is definitely an excellent service. We really enjoyed the dinner very much and definitely will come back again when we visit Mornington on our next trip.

The best pork belly I have ever been served. When next in Mornington I will definitely return. A great overall experience dinning here.
