Very disappointing. This place used to be wonderful but is now a soulless cash grab that charges $15 for a plate of corn chips with guacamole, brings the food before you have been served your drink, and has the atmosphere and class of an automat. The beetroot salad was excellent, but not excellent enough to redeem the tragedy of this experience.

Un-desputedly the best mexican food in all of melbourne. It is great place to have some shots with friends and the food is unparalleled to anything else I have eaten. They service here is amazing.the waitresses are kind and alert so the maximum waiting time for ordering is 30 seconds and the food is prepared with best quality and takes under 10 minutes of waiting to be delivered to your table.

Nice place tucked away on the high end of Collins st. Staff was attentive and very friendly. They have a small selections of beers but a great selections of cocktails.

Delicious food and cocktails, lots and lots of options for gluten free people too! Nelson at the bar was great, very friendly with impeccable service. I'll be back on my next trip to Melbourne fo sho.

Enjoyed a good meal of regional Mexican foods and drinks. Service was excellent, Sabrina was our waitress and explained all the flavours and combinations, making choices easier and rewarding. Will be back.

Buttata and mole, fish tacos and sweet corn ice cream were all delicious! I try to come here every time I’m in Melbourne and it never disappoints. Big thanks to Max for the stellar service.

We ate at the bar with Dan as our server. Had a wonderful night with great service and heaps of food. Thank you Dan and the team!

I hate to say that as always it's just so loud when the place is busy. Topped of by quite bland tasting.the flavour was missing. Pity since I know it can be good.

Decent Mexican Food. Limited Vegetarian options was a bit of let down. Corns were good. Nice Ambience. Good Service. Would appreciate if asked before adding donation to the Bill.

Despite having been here for more than 6 years the quality and ambience of the place still holds a really bright, naturally lit space great for a catch up or work lunch break! Definitely worth the eye squinting experience of actually finding the stairs up to the place but great food all up with fresh ingredients.

Best meal in Melbourne! Worth the wait. Start with the ceviche, and maybe some street corn. Its wonderful!

The tostada is really unique and the mole is out of this world. Kingfish collar could be the best prepared in the world (yes the world).

Then dessert.do NOT miss the sweet corn ice cream cone. Yes.do it! We've been three times and when we come back we will go again

Make sure you ask for Olivia but all the start is great!

Fun place to check out. Great for a date night as it is dim lit.

Tortilla chips were alright. Queso fresco definitely made them good but not an amazing dish (also not enough chips).

Chicharrón was also ok. The green sauce was definitely the better of the two.

Corn was really really good and the best of the appetizers.

The carnitas tacos and the pork quesadilla were the highlight of the meal along with the horchata. Get all of these and the corn and you won't be disappointed!

Sabrina was our host and was lovely and helpful. We had a great time here with friends and enjoyed the interesting and diverse dishes on offer. I'll be back!

Great Mexican restaurant with a very impressive selection of Mezcal. We had a selection of tacos, quesadillas, and a Oaxacan favourite Mole rojo De cerdo. Which was Amazing, could have had a few more tacos but still a 5 star experience. They even have Pacifico beer.

Great high standard Mexican food. Be aware of the booking process. You will have to book early and table is only given once all the people have arrived from your booking

Great food, great atmosphere.
The cocktail are fantastic. It's always on my list of places to bring visitors to.
However, because it's a great restaurant, it's hard to get a spot and there is always a wait. Not an ideal place for large group of people. It's on the pricey side too but you will definitely impress your guest.

Great place to explore Mexican cuisine in Melbourne, an incredible Sope and Lengua Tacos!
The staff is energetic, friendly and assertive on their recommendations.
If you also like a good drink try the Mandarin Margarita and a shot (or two) of their huge range of Mezcal!

It used to be my favorite mexican place in Melbourne. Now they changed the menu portions are twice smaller but the price is the same. I'll probably go to Fonda next time.

Fantastic food and awesome atmosphere. We have been there a couple of times, without a booking, and enjoyed every minute there.

Very underwhelmed, not sure what all the hype is about?
Ordinary food, ordinary service and atmosphere just ok.
Wanted to dine here for a while and was very disappointed when I finally did.
The staff seemed very unhappy, and disengaged.
Unfortunately I would not reccomend it to anyone, sorry?
