Great place and fabulous fried chicken. Roti and Mee Goreng is still outstanding and as always ordered way too much because it is so good. Not a chef's hat place but honest, excellent Malaysian food.

Food is always of good quality & flavour, & the staff very helpful for a person in a wheelchair such as I am.
When very busy it can be a bit awkward to access but generally ok.

I had a terrible experience at Mamak restaurant. They charged me an outrageous $4 per bottle for corkage without any prior notice or explanation. This is unacceptable, and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I won't be returning.

Good spot for some Malaysian eats. My favourite is the fried chicken. Different flavour that the ones I’m used to so it was a nice change of pace…crispy but still juicy. Down side would be that I wanted to buy some extra roti but you can’t just buy individual extra pieces with your meal.

Very authentic Malaysian dishes in this restaurant. Chicken satay just like the way it cooked in Malaysia, mini version. The satay sauce is the best. Freshly made roti is the best and famous in this restaurant. Crunchy and fluffy. The rojak is Malaysian Indian version vegetable rojak, with chunky crackers on top. This restaurant is quite big, can fit big group. Go early if you want to avoid crowd, this restaurant can get very busy. Very close to public transport. Parking isn't easy to find, but paid car parks are nearby.

Had Nasi goreng here and I got food poisoning. I had 3 days suffering at home from food poisoning. I will never go back here again. Terrible. None of the food is cooked on time it was most likely already prepared and heated when ordered. Terrible!

The speed, service and food was all outstanding. Whilst some foods were spicy, the waiter did warn us. That’s a first for spicy places! Then when we ordered, the food was out within 5 minutes of ordering, OUTSTANDING! Then the food was tasty and everyone on my table cleaned there plates empty. Thank you to the amazing team at Mamak!

Frequent at this joint! Brings me right back to my home country. Pricey but worth the money. Personal favourite/recommended dishes: Chicken satay, roti chanai, roti bomb with ice cream for dessert (Sweet - Good for sharing), mee goreng, nasi lemak, nasi goreng, teh tarik and ice lemon tea

the Teh taste awesome, the roti telur bawang is pretty oniony and eggy.just like in malaysia.cendol was okay, the portion can be serve for a little bit more

Popular joint and good crowd, food is closest to authentic Malaysian, though there is room for perfection. With that said I do recommend this place for your cravings of Malaysian dishes.

The tastiest most authentic Malaysian food you will get in Melbourne. The staff are super nice. The food is always fresh and steaming hot. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is vibrant and energetic. Family and friends laughing and enjoying a heart warming feast. It’s one for the ages. Truly a must-try.

If you guys looking for Malaysian food, I recommend Mamak, food was so delicious and amazing taste. Food is halal and I so appreciate that. And the portion was fair enough. We like it.
