Make Designed Objects

I have visited and purchased from this store on and off for over the last ten years. They have the most wonderful and beautiful array of luxury and designer items for that something special as a gift or even for yourself. And the added bonus is the funny and dedicated owner and the team he leads - who wrote weekly emails that made both laugh and cry through the last twelve tough months of the Covid world. A truely special Melbourne store.

I love going to Make Designed Objects as they always greet you with a smile and go out of their way to assist. Pat and his staff are great and also provide great assistance when looking for that something special.

I've ordered online from Make several times and the orders have always been processed and dispatched quickly and arrived in perfect condition.

Only visited once, years ago when I stumbled upon the store while lost on my first visit to Melbourne. A delightful place. I don't want and/or can't afford most of their product line, but their newsletter regularly shows me some quirky thing I can't live without. And even if you never intend to buy anything, you should subscribe to the newsletter just for the fun of it.

This has been my 'go-to' place for many years for presents for family and friends, but especially for myself! I've never left the store without finding what I wanted or needed and the website is a great resource for ideas. This Christmas I directed my son to the shop for my Christmas present with a link from the website - why put up with an inferior gift when what I wanted was available at Make? And the service is wonderful.

Make Design have gone out of their way to be helpful both face-to-face and online. I have been in the store when it has been busy and watched the staff deal with patience and courtesy with every customer. Beyond which they stock such fabulous stuff.

In defence of Make Designed Objects after an association of more than 20 years dealing with this business, I will say from experience that it would be impossible for the staff to make anyone feel unwelcome. They are not that type of business. I encountered Make Design when living in Fitzroy, and after moving away I've had many successful and pleasant interactions buying from them via internet. An outstanding company run by really nice people. That's 5 stars from me.

The best store in Melbourne, possibly Australia, for properly designed giftwares and homewares. I have been going for years, and have had nothing but good experiences. Pat and his staff are always friendly and helpful, and always ready to wrap a gift beautifully.

Beautiful collection of Scandinadian inspired designs for the home. Not cheap but some great things that you will want to have.
