Make Designed Objects

I have bought loads of things from Make over the years (I am obsessed with their vases). They have such an eclectic stock selection and whether online or in store they have always been so helpful and patient - even when I am just slowly, slowly (hopelessly) slowly browsing. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

I don't live in the area but I've been shopping here for years and wouldn't go anywhere else for gifts - their range is fantastic! They were really helpful during lockdown with easy ordering and parcel delivery. Love their eye for design (and the humorous emails:)

I've ordered online with Make many times over many years and their service has always been top notch. No incidents and solid customer service if ever I've had a question.

We first came across Make Designed Objects many years ago when we selected the store for our wedding registry because they have all our favourite design pieces. We had a great experience with them then and have been loyal customers ever since. The staff are wonderful and I love getting Pat's store updates in my inbox - always entertaining and interesting. Big fan and customer since Make opened in the early 2000's. I'd just arrived from London so the huge international range resonated! Great products, knowledge, humour, service.and not a bad playlist to accompany you on your travels through the store! Can't recommend highly enough.keep up the good work Pat!

Do yourself a favour (after visiting the physical or online store) and jump on their newsletter mailing list. Their arrival in my inbox is one of the very few emails I open from retail outlets. The witty commentary inside the emails without fail always brings a smile to my dial.

I have been shopping at Make for years. They are my go to shop for gifts for all occasions. All price range are covered and there is never any compromise on quality. From a can opener to my alarm clock and from my huon pine tea chest to my very first dress watch I feel like shopping here has given me better taste.
The staff are amazing had always made me feel welcome and have gone above and beyond to help whenever I’ve needed it. The wrapping is exceptionally good and also recognisable (people see a make wrapped gift with their name on the card and they KNOW they’re in for a treat).
With nanoblocks, secrid wallets, orbit keys and glerups you’ll discover something new and interesting every time you visit.
Do yourself a favour and subscribe to the email list. They are one of the only emails from a store that I always read and enjoy. They are short, funny and informative.

I've been shopping here for over a decade and never fail to find something interesting as a gift, and usually a few things for myself! The staff are friendly and helpful, and give the store a "family business" feel you don't find so often any more. I can't recommend the place enough.

Always an interesting store to visit, with a great range of products and happy & friendly staff. They're also very helpful with any queries if you're ordering online.

I've been shopping at Make for (I can no longer remember how many) years. The range is fantastic and I like that from time to time the store has championed new locally designed products, opening a first retail outlet door for emerging talent. There's a lot of variety among my friends and family members and yet I can't think of anyone for whom I wouldn't find something apt from the Make store as a gift. The staff are helpful without being obtrusive or pushy and the store invariably has a pleasant, low key ambiance. These are the things that keep me coming back.

I have always found ALL of the staff at Make to be helpful and friendly. What's more when I recently stuffed up an on line order and then nagged them about why it hadn't arrived, they laughed it off - fixed my error and got the gift to the person pronto.

I LOVE this store, one of my Melbourne favourite places I take visitors to, and visit in person or online when I can, especially if looking for the right quirky gift, for that quirky rello. It helps that I'm Finnish (hence the quirks) and they stock lots of Finnish stuff, so I can support both nationalities at once - keep the (greater) family happy! Also other stuff from great design companies around the world, always quality design and materials, whose worth will last a lifetime - if kept away from toddlers! (I've had 2, know what it costs, in freedom as well as cash.) Buying online this last year, stuff I ordered arrived promptly, safely packed. And we all get too many emails (or is that just my micro-generation? What's a generation these days, 5 years? 10? 3? Used to be 25) but those from Make are always worth scrolling through - funny, entertaining, sometimes even informative - how many emails are like that? I'm glad they (and the cow pics) are around and hope they will be for years to come. The stairs will be an issue for zimmer frames though.deal with that when the time comes.

I discovered this gem of a store by accident a few years ago. It is amazing how many items are inside this labyrinth and they are all quality brands and some extra quirky items. The staff are great and let you browse at your own pace. I've bought many gifts here and perhaps a few little treats for myself. I especially love my fink & co red bowl and my Flensted mobiles (great gift for new babies and kids too).

I have been coming here for years, as have my 3 sisters. My daughter is now a convert at the tender age of 13. The range of products at Make is amazing and I have never been disappointed as to lack of stock.
The staff are always helpful, friendly, informed and super-efficient.

Make Designed Objects is a stayer, because they are great at what they do. Excellent service and well curated stock- I can always find a gift there, not to mention some lovely things for me. During lockdown I used the online ordering and it was seamless, with a phone call to me when something needed clarifying. Thoroughly recommended.

Helpful, personable staff.up for a chat and a joke with me whilst browsing or waiting. All staff are very knowledgeable about the wide range of beautiful stock.and extremely helpful about sending things to me in country Vic if they're not currently in the shop.
And the gift wrapping.simply perfect.
