Magic Momo Kafe reviews
64Chowmein and sekuwa was all good but steam Momo was dry, sadeko momo had excessive amount of mustard oil, didn't like it, thupka was average.
You will experience best Nepalese cuisine here. Momos, chowmein tastes really nice but thali was average
No one should miss going to place for amazing ambience, food and most importantly nepali paan is what you can experience here. Saffs are absolutely friendly and don't forget to check their outdoor space. Even a vegetarian has varieties of options to try for. That Almond Kulphi, momo platter and paneer uff, certainly hands down winner. Highly recommended!
Food was delicious. Friendly and informed staff helped us pick the right dishes. Will be back to try more
Came form Darwin to try and did not have any regrets. Nepali authentic taste. Tastes like typical Nepalese street food. Kudos.
Love the food. Excellent service, fresh produce. Good vibes. Their momo share platter and chicken chow mein are a must have.
The young girls who work there were amazing! Beautiful service, very friendly and great recommendations.food was amazing.props to them for making my service easier with my blind dad!
This is one of those places that as you leave you say "I will be back again"
The food was amazing and the momo's are to die for!
Friendly and helpful staff
Clearly marked special diet options
My first visit. There is no more words than excellent to rate this restaurant. Awesome guys, delicious food, good service, good environment. Keep it up.
Went there for dinner for the first time.
Whole venue seems dirty, especially the floor and the bench.
Ordered momo platter, Newark khaja set and goat sekuwa as Entree. GOT KHAJA SET at the first and momoms 20 minutes later. And sekewa at last. We didn't had cutlery.
What am I supposed to eat with?
Tried to get cutlery by ourselves but there was just fork.
Not coming back again
This unassuming little hidden gem is easy to miss among the plethora of dining options in the Barkley street food and beverage precinct. Simple and tastefully decorated, it is clean and tidy. Through to the rear of the restaurant, you'll find a bar that prepares some decent cocktails, which you can enjoy either at the bar, at your table, or at the beer garden at the rear of the restaurant. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and ready to have a chat. The food is authentic, delicious, and freshly prepared. When you're in this neck of the woods, don't hesitate to give this restaurant a try; I'm sure you won't regret it.
Heard a lot about the cafe and went there for the first time today. I had worst experience visiting this place. I don't understand why do Nepalese restaurants takes Nepalese people for granted. We understand that it was valentines day and it would have been busy day, but making customer wait until 2hrs for just 3 dishes? Seriously? First off all, we reached there at 7: 30 we ordered two plates of momos, one set lamb sukuti set and chicken chilli. Literally one set of momo came after 45 minutes of waiting. And then comes sukuti set. After half an hour. Again we waited until 9: 20 until we called waitress and asked if we are getting our chicken chilli and momo. And there they asks us who took our order and what our order was. Dear restaurant owner or whoever,! We come to your place not for other purpose but satisfying our hunger. Not everyone has enough time to just chill and wait on the same table for couple of hour for just three dishes. The other couple who came after us ate and left an hour before us. And, the most amazing thing to see is they have no concern that how upset the customer is, or how hungry they might be that they waited till two hours just to get the food because at 10 o clock at that busy night we would have no other restaurant as an option to go and reorder food and eat.
I ordered sukuti set and jhol momo today. It was delicious. Thanks to chef and and the kitchen hand person.
Alright, why the less than great rating?
Service: We were a family of 3 and got a wobbly table. On requesting a change we were not allowed a larger table instead asked to sit near the kitchen, which, by the way is full of fumes. Suffocating meal
Taste:
Momos: passable but I've had better in Melbourne (think Chilly Everest in the CBD)
Chilly potato: soggy, need i say more
Veg chowmein: meh
We ended up stepping across the road to Aangan. I'll like to visit again and hope to have a better experience.
I was feeling homesick for last few months. My brother took me to magic Momos and as soon as I ate there I felt so nostalgic.
Items in the menu are very delicious and staff are friendly.
It took 15-20 minutes for food to arrive once ordered, which is not too bad.
Their special chilly sauce is worth trying.
Steam Momos veg and chicken are my favorites.
Everytime I visit my brother in Melbourne from NSW, I make sure to visit a few food places and magic Momos is one of those.
Keep up the good work.
Delicious and good pricing. Never tried nepalese food before, this has got me wanting to come back!
I have been a customer to this place for more than a year. So far it was good except last 2 times when I ordered from Uber eats caused some health problems.
Love the food… very consistent with the flavours
We are lucky to have such an authentic taste so far away from home.
Loved it. First time I have been their but amazing experience. Delicious flavours. Value of money.
The real taste of Nepalese and Newari food. Best Nepalese restaurant in Melbourne. Highly recommended.
